Sign Up Band of Seven: Awakening

I am the alcolyte. For over a hundred years I have been searching for a way to resurect the Band of Seven. Seven mercenaries whose powers made them the ultimate team. Every side they fought for one. Sometimes they would switch sides in the midst of war just to extend the killing. They couldn't be stopped, none could stand up to them, thus they became fearless......and reckless.

Finally I have found a way to resurrect you. You the most evil, vile, deplorable beings to ever live. Your demonic powers knew no end a century ago, and thanks to me you will live again. I have discovered seven sacred jewels, each of which has been given to you. Though your bodies are resurected, you still are not at full strength, not yet ready to resume your path of utter destruction, I have a task for you that much first be completed in order to gain your full powers, and be released from the binding sacred jewel shards that give me the power to end your lives at a thought.

Once you are all awake I will give you the full extent of your mission and how you came to be in the position you were in, or how you died.

Okay now for the outline. My character has awoken the "Band of Seven", the name will be adjusted in case there are only 3 or 4. The mission is to stop a rival of mine, I'll go into more detail later. This is going to be set in japan, with a setting similar to Inuyasha. For those of you who don't know the Band of Seven were just as I described them, this is a different band though so there will be no contact with Inuyasha or any of its characters.

I forgot to add this on the title, and in my original post. [B]Rating: Mature: Language, Violence, light sexual content[/B] I'd like to elaborate on this a bit more. I'm up for any suggestions any participants have so we can change this rating to more mature, or if the majority would like it to be downgraded to more of a PG type where violence is the only thing I'm all for that as well.

Name: Sasuki Mai

Personality: Sasuki is very dominant and agressive. She hates being ordered around, especially by men. She's very feministic and tends to hate and not trust most men. With woman on the otherhand, she is very protective and motherly. She can't stand to see woman being demeaned and abused, and usually makes it her mission to destroy anyone who would do that to them (whether they want her to or not). She also has a big soft-spot for nature.

Weapon: A large kitana (the one in pic)

Power: Her body is poison. She draws toxins and potions from plants as well as from her own bloodstream. She has the power of seduction and toxic death. She uses her powers to lure men in, then kill them with a deadly kiss.

How did you decide to join the group?:

Sasuki was raped, poisoned, and let for dead when she was 16. The poison however, had an unusual effect on her body, instead of killing her, the poison soaked into her bloodstream and combined with her DNA, creating a living, breathing, toxic demon set on revenge.

Since then, she has hated men. Seeing everyone of them as the one that tried to kill her. She devoted her life to protecting woman (and boys if need be) from the same fate as her. Discovering that revenge was very hard alone, she found the blood-thirsty gang and decided to join them, but only until she had found the real perpitrator and slaughtered him.

Unfortunetly, she fell in love with a wolf demon and stopped her escipade with the gang when she bore his child. They did not take her leaving lightly, and took her daughter hostage until she rejoined them. After that incident, she was very reluctant to follow them, but eventually came around. Though, she would wander off constantly to visit her half-breed daughter and wolf demon lover.

Personality: Alcolyte is simply sadistic. Though he doesn't believe in random killings, if someone or something is in the way it needs to die. Its said that one time he had a softer side, but after the death of his love he lost it.

Weapon: Double Bladed Halberd with a shortend handle and giant blade

Power: Alcolyte's heritage has given him the benefit of extended life, and the ability to use his claws as weapons. He'd also been given something else, the ability to conjure fire. He can ignite anything he touches, his halberd which has been in his family for over five centuries has been endowed the ability to enhance the families powers by catching fire and burning as long as the user has power to keep the flames burning.

How did you decide to join the group?:

Alcolyte has searched for centuries to find the answer to his loves killer. He found it finally in the Band of Seven, the killers were a perfect remedy. Alcolyte hunted down and killed many in the hundred years it took for him to locate the jewels that were made the resurection possible.

Personality: Very kind at heart, she only acts ruthless to find the one who killed her family. She loves nature and can be quite lazy.

Weapon: A staff with a crystal shaped like a moon and a bow with arrows that have crescent moons on the feathers.

Power: Maia has powers over moonlight and sunlight. She can focus both into an attack. She has increased strength in sunlight and heals quickly under moonlight. Maia is half human, half fox demon.

How did you decide to join the group?:

Maia was searching alone all her life to find the one who killed her parents. She ran into the group when she had just left a village and was nearly dead. Though nearly dead, she could fight so well, she could have destroyed the village.

She was taken in due to her strength. She had been with them ever since.

[B]Personality:[/B] On the outside Artemis appears relaxed, friendly and even approachable. Deep down, though, Artemis' is a killer. Back when the Band of Seven were still roaming the world, Artemis was renown for killing his victims painlessly and mercifully.

Those he slayed would always ask for forgiveness in an attempt to appeal to his deceivingly polite side. This has earned him the title "The Judge." One thing most do not know however, is that he has never spared anyone.

[B]Weapon:[/B] The only real weapon he possesses is a short dagger hidden in his cloak. He rarely uses it and so he isn't very proficient with it but it gets the job done when his powers weak.

[B]Power:[/B] Artemis' power comes from having made a pact with the devil himself. Before he was corrupted, Artemis was a King. But being the ruler of a country wasn't good enough for him. He sought power and through the King of the Underworld himself he found it.

Artemis can reanimate corpses and summon any sort of spirits and lesser demons easily if they are in our realm. It becomes a bigger task if he is summoning something from hell, like a demon or worse.

His powers over the dead also give him the ability to drain the life of the living. Dying this way is completely painless physically but what people didn't realize is when Artemis killed anyone this way he was actually destroying their soul along with their bodies so they would not move on to a "better place." This power is essential because when Artemis summons demons or reanimates corpses he must feed them his own life. Because of this Artemis' age is constantly changing.

[b]How did you decide to join the group?:[/b] Born and raised as a royal brat Artemis soon became King. A mean and ruthless king. His people hated him, his friends envied him and his enemies feared him. But nobody respected him. Seeking to obtain great power Artemis left the throne to join the Band of Seven (which was unnamed then). It was through them that he was able to gain an audience with Lucifer.

Once he had his new found powers Artemis knew that there was no turning back. No longer did he long for his old throne. He was perfectly happy traveling as one of the Band of Seven.[/font][/color]

[B]Name:[/B] Natsu Haru

[B]Age:[/B] Seemingly to be in his early 20's

[B]Appearance[/B]: He stands at 5'11 and has a slim but well-toned body. His hair is rather long nearly touching the ground, is a very dark shade of purple matching perfectly with his purple eyes. Natsu's face is easily reconized by the distictive '7' embedded on his forehead and his unique taste of clothing which usually consists of a long sleeved white shirt with slits on the shoulders and an all-white half of an kimono. He prefers not to wear anything on his feet.

[B]Personality:[/B] Natsu is terribly quite and reserved and won't speak at all to anyone. He is always lost in thought and is always seen with a vacant look upon his face. He preferes silence over everything and has developed an disorder because of it which was the sole cause of his needless killing and his death.

[B]Weapon:[/B] Natsu has millions of needles threaded into the very fibers of his hair, each one is coated with a lethal neurotoxin that causes a slow, numbing, and relentlessly painful death.

[B]Power:[/B] Natsu has a rather peculiar ability that allows him to meld with his surrondings and seem virtually invisible but this ability is hindered when the soles of his feet are covered which is the reason he doesn't wear anything on his feet.

[B]How did you decide to join the group?:[/B] Natsu Haru was trained from a very early age to become an assassin and went threw a rigoruos training routine for years constantly fighting and training, everyday taking lethal doses of abuse physically and mentally. He didn't mind all of this and grew accustomed to it, but there was one thing that struck him harder than the blade threw his chest everyday, and that was the yelling. He personally never understood why he disliked it so much but he did and that hatred for yelling grew into a deep-seeded hatred for speech which quickly became a bizarre disorder.

After assassinating the very people who trained him to be an assassin he decided to travel, wanting to rid the world of speech for his disorder began to engulf his entire mind, he later on met a man by the name of Artemis who intrigued him. After years of killing he ran into a little half-demon girl who he for some reason hesitated to kill after murdering the child's parents. Once again puzzuled by his train of thought, he forced the girl to join him in order to further analyze this thought. A small part of him hoped to understand this little girl's feelings in an effort to understand himself.

Personality:[/B] Izanami is not a born killer, like most of the people she has come across. However, she is also not someone incapable of killing. Thanks to her old lover, and circumstances in her strange life.

Izanami will kill for revenge, for money, or just because she thinks it is right. However, she had never been heartless in her life. That was, until she joined the band of seven. Thanks to their influence, her killings have been a lot less black and white recently. She has even taken up a habit that some of her fellow members in the band would possibly look down on her for.

Despite all of this though, she seems like a nice, feminine girl outside of battle.

[B]Weapon:[/B] A manrikigusari for defense, and two tantos to attack her opponents.

Power:[/B] Thanks to four tattoos given to her after her first revival, Izanami has the power to throw her severed arms to attack her foes. She is able to retrieve them thanks to pieces of an obi sash. It is also rumored that she has the power of the goddess that she was named after. However, her powers only work if her tattoos are uncovered. Especially since moonlight gives her a special boost to her powers.

[B]How did you decide to join the group?:[/B] When Izanami was only 15 years old, she was forrced to marry a much older man in order to survive. The work was hard and long, but she at least had food to eat. But then one day, when her husband came home drunk, he tried to force himself on her but she refused. Then, when she wouldn't let him have his way with her, he pulled out his wakizashi and accidentally sliced off one of her fingers. He was shocked at first, but then the shock gave way to a horrible, drunken idea. He cut off both of Izanami's arms so she couldn't struggle, and despite her screams he did with her as he wanted to until she died of blood loss.

As a wandering spirit, Izanami found a peach garden that she thought was taken care of by an immortal. Eating one of the peaches and hoping for new life, instead Izanami found herself in debt to a demon that owned the garden. He gave her the new life she sought though, in return for what he called a simple task.
What he forgot to tell her about this task of hers, is that until it is completed, she is cursed to eat the flesh of her own kind.

Izanami joined to get revenge on her former lover. She also joined because she thought it would be a good way to complete the task that the demon had given her. Although, if she can manage to find the demon and kill him, she should be able to be free from that task. So she joined, hoping that either way she could be free to get rid of her lover and to get rid of the task that has been placed upon her.

Name: Aderyn Quickstep

Personality: Aderyn is normally a good-natured person, she tends to gamble and take risks and ignore her better judgment but that has improved her ability to live without regrets. There are things that make her angry but she rarely lets her anger out when not fighting as she learned a long time ago that it made her more effective. Aderyn has a short temper but it's short lived and she'll laugh over whatever she was mad about later. She's a hard worker especially at her job but hates the thought of blood money and gambles it to deal with the guilt.

Weapon: Double short swords strapped to her back, dagger in both her boots, a longer dagger on her thigh, and a heavier sword that she hardly ever uses at her hip.

Power: She can see the future, but only parts that are relevant to people she's met before. She has the ability to see more but it takes a lot of effort and a special ceremony that she has neither the time nor the patience for.

How did you decide to join the group?: Aderyn was born in a happy family that lived just outside a forest which sat between two cities. She grew up being cared for by her loving parents with her affectionate older brothers who while still picking on her included her and taught her a lot. They brought her along on all their escapades through and about the forest and whenever one or two of them had any need to go into one of the two cities they brought Aderyn along. Her life was a happy one for 15 years of her life then war broke out between the cities and soldiers came to the small house and hauled off all of her brothers to her parents great grief. Aderyn and her parents made due with their life, bearing it the best they could until misfortune once again visited the house. Soldiers from the other town came, the burned down the house, killed Aderyns father and mother and would have killed her too but She sold her body to them for her life. After that she decided she would learn to use a sword, she would never be at the mercy of anyones weapon ever again.
Aderyn quickly joined the nearest band of mercenaries pretending to be a boy, and learned to use any weapon they had, she dedicated herself to besting anyone of the men in the group that challanged her and eventually was the best fighter in the crew. It didnt take long for word to get around that there was a crew of mercenaries who were the best of the best and Aderyn decided that she wanted to join them and that's what she did.

Name: Vaelurideen ‘Vael’

Personality: Vael is a a bit sensitive, very loving and caring boy and a bit of a air headed spaz, yet he can be surprisingly wise sometimes. All this combined with his curiosity equals a trouble. But he believes all full breeds are out to get him whether they be human or demon… they both share hatred for half breeds like Vae. The Band is the family he’s ever known. Only they can call him to himself after he gets into a crazed frenzy which sometimes happens.

Weapon: A simple Lute and the sword named Drizzt’s Edge [url]http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j61/takuuya/DrizztsEdge.jpg[/url]. He also has a huge water container on his back fasten with a sash. Much like Gaara from Naruto.

Power: Being half water dragon demon he has power over water, ice, and lightning. He also is connected with nature and the living things around him. Such a sensitive connection has given him empathic abilities. He’s able to feel others emotions and he can amplify that emotion or he could push what he’s feeling into a person… bad thing is most of the time it’s accidental. Masterly skilled at any instrument.

How did you decide to join the group?: It was after Vael’s tribe was slaughtered. He cant remember if it was by Humans are demons but it didn’t matter because the tribe had suffered from both parties numerous times. But this time he was the last to remain alive. The band was lured to the ruins by a ominous yet calming melody Vae was playing. For it was his duty to perform a “Sending of Spirits” ceremony for his fallen people. At first Vae struck out at them viciously but was paralyzed by a needle from Natsu. Later Natsu told Vael to fallow him if he wish to live. What other choice was there? If Vae wanted vengeance he would have to be alive to obtain it. He’s been with the Band for 7 years since that day.

Natsu Had sent Vae on a mission to retrive the sword called Drizzt’s Edge. Natsu felt the sword would put Vae in more control of his powers. but on the way back from getting the sword he was overpowered by a horde of wolf demons… Luckly for them Vael was not an ordinary victim, water dragon blood ran through his veins and the Shamans of the wolf demon tribe knew this. They bond his body to a great tree in the middle of their village with the very sword he was sent to retrieve. The tree fed of his life-force but the sword kept him from fully passing on so the lands around the village are lush and full of plenty because of this.
