Ok I'm of a Star Wars themed thread set about 100-150 years before Star Wars Episode 1. Before the Fetts ever existed. Its about a bounty hunter doing his normal routine when he was hired to hunt down a sith he didnt know about till the Sith bet the crap out of him. Ever since then he has been feeling something around him. Unknown to him that it was the force.

I hope that several people get interested enough to start an audition thread.

As I told you in my pm I'd be on board to throw up some ideas. The only question I still have is what would everyone else be doing? Would they all be sith trying to join together and go after the bounty hunter? Or jedi with the same goal?

Honestly this may make a pretty decent fan fiction piece if you don't get the response you were looking for here.

Okay, first of all...

If this gets off the ground you have to do your first post (or even the audition thread) like the opening of every star wars movie (scrolling text through space). You could use Microsoft Digital Image Editor, which I'm a big fan of. And it would also be awesome if you (can we even do this?) link the starwars theme audio into the thread so posters can listen to it while reading the decription. If we can't, maybe a youtube video of it just for the audio... we'll see.

Okay... *cracks knuckles*

As Drizzt said you're going to need to develop this idea a lot more. Think of the man himself: George Lucas. Keep the plot open, but structured. No Star Wars movie focuses on just one character. This is quite a quandry on Otaku because you need to give enough of a storyline to interest people, yet leave it open ended enough for people to develop their own characters. There's a thin line for success regarding RPGs around here. I'm sure I could spitball some ideas if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested in them and possibly you, Drizzt and I could team up for this RP.

I'm a believer in if you're going to do it, do it big or not at all. Good luck.

Well im not a OB posting freak so any help would be great. Your right about George Lucas though. An open plot but not a closed enedng and not focusing on one character. Well I wasn't going to focus on that specific character, more into the other people who sign up. As of the Space scrolling and audio, I would need help with that.

Well I have this film editing software called Camtasia and I could work up a star wars type opening with the music (now that i've noticed) and everything actually. But my original thought was much less complex. I originally was thinking of just a linked image with text in the style of star wars, but if you want to go all out it could be done. I could work up an actual video of a star wars type opening, but we're going to have to get some more interest in this and if I'm going to put time and effort into this I want a certain amount of creative control. Of course if you want to do it your way I'll stay out of your hair, no problem.

Whatever floats your boat.

Well first I think a solid storyline should be developed. You want a large portion of the story to revolve around this bounty hunter that is possibly on his way to becoming a jedi, correct?

Maybe the story starts directly after the Sith defeats him. Since I always like a little disfigurement and since the Sith are quite vicious I'm thinking our bounty hunter has to loose an arm or something.

So possibly the story starts after this incident. Then he begins his quest to become a jedi, getting together a crew of swarthy individuals to take him to Coruscant possibly, maybe a jedi in the mix somewhere?

Also there has to be that impending doom feel... So maybe the Sith learn of his budding abilities and begin to hunt him down. I'm not sure what Drizzt has in mind, and I haven't put much thought into this myself but it's a start I suppose.

that's def a start. I'm not sure how you want to handle this, ideas through PM or keep posting them here to allow for multiple peoples input?

Well I was thinking about the same, except that it could be a race to get him to join either side. Instead of the sith hunting him down, they would be searching just like the jedi, and I think for an added twist someone should be a "traitor" in the ranks. Someone that only Dragons Wolfie (since its his baby) knows who it is, plus I assume he would be the bounty hunter.

Sort of a join or die kind of thing. Sounds pretty good. I'll put some thought into some more details tonight. I've been messing with powerpoint and all of the other ridiculous programs on my computer and I believe I've figured out the crawling font situation. Once we have a solid idea formed I'll see if I can work some magic and spread this idea around.

Also, what about a name? Are you going to call this an episode, dragon, or were you thinking of just a chapter sort of thing, like that abortion that was the clone wars movie?

I was thinking just a Chapter myself. Kind of like:

Chapter I
The Jedi and the Bounty Hunter

or

Chapter I
The Jedi's Bounty

What were you guys thinking of?

Honestly I was thinking that maybe a chapter thing sort've like Lucas did. Turn it into a trilogy of its own. Chapter 1 the bounty hunter fights, possibly loses a limb (to hopefully be replaced like they did in the original star wars) and the Sith/Jedi find out. Chapter 2 huge battles between the jedi and sith looking for the bounty hunter. chapter 3 he chooses and all hell breaks loose (I guess its sort've like the first three from the trilogy but different at the same time.)

I was also assuming it would be replaced by an artificial limb as well. Also the magic of text flying through space is that it sums up a lot of back story and lets us get into the meat of the action.

There is room for a very wide range of characters here, though I'm not sure how popular star wars is on Otaku. I wouldn't normally find myself showing interest in this (though I am a star wars fan) but the star wars universe is so expansive that the possibilites are nearly limitless.
