Everyone has their own opinions on issues and you can't just assume that since nobodies saying "Oh my goodness you're so right Obama's going to bring about firey hail that will destroy a third of the world" or whatever the exact count is. I'm a christian and while I don't think Obama is the anti-christ by any means, I picture the anti-christ as having a little more influence. Obama is too unlikeable to be the anti-christ. Plus any true christian would welcome the end of the world, I know I just opened up a WHOLE can of worms because I can't say I'm looking forward to the apocalypse. But as the bible said the righteous will be taken before and will not have to suffer. So give me a call once you get called up to heaven, that way I know its started. You don't need to get so defensive when someone notes how often your argument has been brought up. I voted Obama, for the record, but I wouldn't've spazzed out if McCain had won the election. I just don't like how 'trigger-happy' McCain comes off as, and how he spent a lot more time trying to ridicule Obama than promote his own ideas (at least in my eyes, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). However, that's another subject entirely. How is Obama being elected being tied to the armageddon? This is an argument that I've not heard yet, actually. What does the presidency even have to do with religion? I'm not saying I'm so blind as to believe that Separation of Church and State functions even remotely close to the way it should, but it's still [I]there[/I], and does have its merits in this country, so I don't see where the problem comes in. Of course, this is all assuming that you mean 'armageddon'; in reference to the biblical event. This is POLITICS, people. Currently I think Obama will not end the world, nor will he do GREAT THINGS for the country. It's impossible in the sense of he has no political capital yet, no proven record, and no predictability. We've never seen him respond in times of crisis and we've never seen him in stressful high risk high stakes games. I simply put it in perhaps an overly harsh manner, because it was frustrating me that no effort seemed to be being made to back up these accusations with any form of evidence. While it's true that we haven't seen him do anything productive yet, it's a stretch to assume that he won't simply because he doesn't have an extensive political history for us to draw on. And considering he's now been president for what, 15 hours now? I think it would be fair to give him a little time to work on those "meaningful actions." If you don't agree with the title and you don't agree with Kaimaster, then that's perfectly fine, but this has gone way out of control.
