Mr. Blonde
There is so much bitterness and hate surrounding this election, so much ignorance and religious brouhaha concerning Barack Obama. This country has a sad habit of judging someone by their name, and it hasn't proven effective yet. Are we really that consumed in conservative heresay that we truly believe because someone has a funny name that they will bring about the end of the world? I blame the conservatives for this. They have used this campaign of hate and fear to attempt to scare the country into not voting for a man because he's different than any other president has been. They have let racists and extremists spread slanderous filth for months, and people wonder why these falsehoods exist about the man. I'm not blaming McCain directly, but his campaign and other Republican organizations have been shameful in their actions. Some conservatives say they are "above" these tactics but as Raiha has just proved they will denounce these claims one moment and then attempt to instill that same fear in the next. Obama has to "prove where his loyalties are"? He's just spent the past 2 years running for president of the United States. How much more loyal to your country can you be? What makes McCain so much more loyal than Obama, being a POW? How about being a communtiy organizer and fundraiser for the underprivelaged residents of the south side of Chicago? How about turning down a carreer at a multi-million dollar law firm to work at a community law office in the ghetto of Chicago to help those with little money who are struggling with legal issues? Does that make you loyal to your country? There's a reason he's been elected the next President. He's shown he can run a brilliant campaign and get people to stand behind him and work together as they never have before. You may say he's all speeches but before now neither Obama or McCain have been in a position powerful enough to get done any of things either one of them has discussed. But action begins with words. He's already began selecting his cabinet, and putting together the Obama administration. He's attending a peace conference with Bush next week. So actions are beginning to unfold. The last thing we need now is division in this county. Republicans and Democrats and all parties need to stand behind Obama. Because that is the only way we will begin to solve the many problems crippling our country. Hate, fear, malcontent... these need to be things of the past. Change requires all of us. Guest Kaimaster
In the end it doesn't come down to anyone liking your or disliking your. Everyone has their own opinions on issues and you can't just assume that since nobodies saying "Oh my goodness you're so right Obama's going to bring about firey hail that will destroy a third of the world" or whatever the exact count is. I'm a christian and while I don't think Obama is the anti-christ by any means, I picture the anti-christ as having a little more influence. Obama is too unlikeable to be the anti-christ. Plus any true christian would welcome the end of the world, I know I just opened up a WHOLE can of worms because I can't say I'm looking forward to the apocalypse. But as the bible said the righteous will be taken before and will not have to suffer. So give me a call once you get called up to heaven, that way I know its started.
After Obama die by a gun shot or anything else. Then one of Satan's demons will take his body. Sangome
That actually wasn't sarcasm, I actually do have a legitimate desire to see where this argument stems from, as I am uninformed (my fault, really, because I've never payed attention to religion OR politics up until now) on the matter. I simply put it in perhaps an overly harsh manner, because it was frustrating me that no effort seemed to be being made to back up these accusations with any form of evidence.
Well, since no one else has stepped up to explain, I guess I will. What Kaimaster seems to be getting at is that Obama is the anti Christ. This much we know. But why do they say it? According to the Bible, more specifically, the book of Revelation, it speaks of a man that will rise up to power. Everyone will be charmed and enamored with him, and his actions will bring about the end of the world. [Before he appears, all Christians are supposed to be taken up into heaven in what we call the rapture.] Their logic is that because Obama has been elected/is charismatic/is black/half black/Muslim[wat]/democrat, that he is the anti Christ. Of course, there's a lot of flaws in Kaimaster's claim about Obama being the anti Christ [one of them being THE CHRISTIANS ARE STILL HERE, OOPS], but I'd rather not get into that right now. Hopefully that explains things for you. Sorry if I told you things you already knew. :animeswea [also, in before any "THAT'S THE BIGGEST CRAP I EVER HEARD". Guest Kaimaster
Sangome Most Christians think the rapture will take place Pre-Tribulation or the Mid-Tribulation. We mite be on the edge of Pre-Tribulation. Only few Christians think the rapture will take place Post Tribulation. Pre-Tribulation is before the Anti-Christ be elected. Mid-Tribulation is Anti-Christ been elected. Post Tribulation is after the Tribulation.

Post Tribulation is after the Tribulation.
I'm sorry, but I have to correct you. There is no 'Mid-Tribulation'. Also, Sangome, the Christians may still be here at the beginning of the Tribulation period. The supposed 'rise of the anti-Christ' is not the same as the Rapture, though it does occur during the same book of the Bible. The book of Revelation speaks of the seven years of Tribulation. For the first years of the Tribulation Period, there is no mention of catastrophe. The Christians may be removed at year one, or as late as year three, according to the Bible. So technically, we could be within the first three years of the Tribulation Period. Then at year three sparks the beginning of the Great Tribulation Period, at which point the Christians are nearly all removed (Except for the some-thousand converted Jews left behind to preach the gospel during the end of the world). This is when the Anti-Christ will become apparent. There is no 'Post-Tribulation' either. At the end of the Great Tribulation, the world is gone. Kaput. Dead. After the trumpet and bowl judgments, of course. But those occur within the tribulation period. Though some argue that they are the mark of the end of the seven years. Tomayto, Tomohto. Edit: Obama is not the Anti-Christ, though. There are so many inconsistencies that make it impossible for him to be the Anti-Christ. Obama is American, and also a Christian. Kthxbai.
