Lunar
Yesterday, I was doing some serious cardio workouts and it got me thinking, what kind of exercise(s) do you guys do? Do you exercise on a regular basis, do you exercise whenever you can, or do you prefer not to exercise? And when you do exercise, do you enjoy it? As for me, I try the best I can do exercise every day. My P.E. class requires me to exercise at least 3 hours a week. I usually do more than three hours a week because I pick my sisters up from school and that takes 40 minutes to get there and back. I kickbox a whole lot and that's a good workout all in itself. So what about you guys?:catgirl:
Mr. Maul
I don't do any exercising at the moment, but I'm going to start doing a regiment I came up with sometime soon. It involves sets of push ups, sit ups, lunges, and running. No weights, because I don't have any, and I'm not trying to bulk up. TimeChaser
Well, due to health issues in the past year, I haven't had much in the way of exercise, and I'm terribly out of shape, so I need to work on that. I started yesterday by going on a bike ride. It was pretty short - my legs started to hurt before I even got off my street - but it was still the most sustained activity I've had in a long time. I plan to do more in the way of walking and bike riding.

I swim regularly, or did before I got my tattoo. Fortunately by next week I'll be allowed to swim again by my tattooist. I swim, I walk long distances over campus by going roundabout to my classes with a 20 pound backpack. And people think my laptop is big just because I want a screen I can see everything on. What else... hmm? I do wrestling for fun and I'm also starting tai chi in early January. Lucky me.

When it warms up again next summer, I certainly will go swimming.

chibi-master
Karate! I also do track in the spring! I love sparring (especially point sparring!) and running the most! But I also enjoy kicking and self defense. And long jump! But I don't like katas or softball throw. Mostly beacuase I'm terrible at memorizing katas and not as good as others with softball throw. Lunar
Lucky you. I play basketball and softball. I can't run worth a crap. Seriously......I am planning to do it next year, though. I doubt I'll make the team. I'm extremely good at basketball though. Not as much shooting and dribbling, but defense and stealing the ball. Yes! Gives me a rush just thinking about it. The reason why is probably because I'm a violent person by nature.:catgirl:
Mr. Blonde
The gym is all well and good, but even though I've been going for years I can never get past seeing old man penis in the locker room. They just don't care. Disturbing. Besides Tai Kwon Do and Muay Thai which I've been doing since I was 9 and 20, I just began taking Capoeira classes. It's quite interesting. You take turns either playing instruments or sparring. It's more complicated then that but its a Brazilian dance fighting thing, it's the realness. Also I fight Kodiak bears in steel cage death matches. (Okay I lied... it's black bears):animesmil
DeLarge
There was a stage when I was going to the gym four or five times a week, for maybe two hours at a time, but when I started my old job I was so tired in the day that it was practically impossible to go. However, the job I was doing was a very physical one, so I got plenty of exercise and dropped a couple of pounds while doing that. However, now I quit my job I'm back at the gym. I tend to go maybe three or four times a week, for an hour or two at a time. I do cardio on the treadmill and the cross-trainer, then lift free weights and use the weight machines for a while, then a little more cardio before I finish up. I've started jogging again, which I haven't done for a number of years. It's cold out at the moment, though, so I try to go in the middle of the day, just before lunch. I also bench-press trains at the yard whenever they let me. Sometimes the weights at the gym just aren't enough.
Rachmaninoff
I tend to stick mainly with walking since I get a lot of that just from running around on campus. In addition to three flights of stairs at the apartment complex I live in since it has no elevator. Though the only time I'd use that is when I'm hauling groceries up the stairs. In the summer when it's warmer I end up adding hiking to that. Overall it keeps me fit.
Drizzt Do'urden
I actually restarted my regiment last week, its pretty hardcore but thanks to the marvels of modern science I can keep it interesting with my MP3 player. Mondays and Friday I blast Cardio (running, Biking, Jump Rope, Suicides, wind sprints, and finish with lap swimming) Wednesdays and Saturdays are upper body (Bench Press, Shoulder Shrugs, Lat Pull downs, Butterflies, Dead Lift, Curls, Run, finish with swimming) Thursdays and Sunday's are Lower body (Squat, Leg Press, Calf Shrugs, Run, Bike, finish with swimming) Tuesdays are my laid back days where I do everything mentioned above, except low weight. SunfallE
Walking is my preferred method of exercising. When it's warm enough, outside, when it's not, inside on a treadmill. Sure cold air is nice and gets you going. But I hate black ice and falling. I've done that a few times so I stick to the inside once it's really cold out. ^^ I enjoy hiking too in the summer, along with swimming if I get the chance. SaiyanPrincessX
I swear this exact same topic came up only a few months ago. I'm an exercise addict. Haha. I do Muay Thai and Taekwondo for three hours everynight, except weekends. In the morning I'll usually run; in or out doors, depending on weather. Plus five hundred crunches, five diffrent ones 100 of each. I may do more though. Every other day I do weights, push ups. Sunday I go to the gym and do legs after church(the only day I can get in at the moment). When its nice I love being outside, so I'll usually run, walk, hike, bike, in the park. If its not I'll use the treadmill at home, plus the others I already mentioned. I go crazy if I miss class, or any of my workouts. Nathan
I like jogging to stay in shape. When it's warm out I'll jog outside but most of the time I use a treadmill that I bought a few years ago. I usually make sure I get a good workout three to four times a week. I also love to go hiking when I can. I've tried skiing but I hate getting cold so I don't go very often. Usually when friends drag me along and that's about it. chibi-master
A lot of the girls in my class this year were begging me to join the basketball team. It was sort of annoying because everyone that was going to join came one after the other to say I should join and wouldn't take no for an answer. Somehow I made it through all that and I am still not on the basketball team...I'm pretty sure the reason they asked is because they were low on members and I'm fairly tall-ish...(My goal is to crack 6 feet!)
