eleanor
I'm sort of on the hunt for some good romance songs, but I'm no real music whiz. I like everything, mainstream included, but here are some of my favorite love songs: - Hold You in My Arms by Ray LaMontagne - Slow Dancing in a Burning Room by John Mayer - Engine Driver by The Decemberists - The Blower's Daughter by Damien Rice - Run by The Snow Patrol - I Can Feel a Hot One by Manchester Orchestra (er...don't really know if this counts as 'romance' lol) - Dancing by Elisa - Your Song from Moulin Rouge - Forever by Chris Brown Those were completely off the top of my head, but I guess it will give people a sense of what I like. Or just list your favorites, whatever, anything that'll get me listening to new stuff.
TimeChaser
Well I don't really listen to anything that would qualify as romance music, but there is one song I know that probably qualifies: Enchant - "Beautiful"

Except for the last two (and the Manchester Orchestra one) You pretty much named all of them. If not the exact song, then the artists responsible for the song. I would post them again, but your list is too perfect and I don't want to muck it up.
Claire
I'm not sure what you consider "romance," but if I were to make a playlist about love, this is what I'd put on it: Goo Goo Dolls; "Iris" Death Cab For Cutie; "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" Rihanna; "Umbrella" Blaqk Audio; "Semiotic Love" The Postal Service/Iron & Wine; "Such Great Heights" And I'd probably include some lusty songs for good measure: Blaqk Audio; "Cities of Night" and "Between Breaths (An XX Perspective)" Medic Droid; "Fer Sure" Nine Inch Nails; "Closer" Murder By Death; "Fuego!" Paper Rival; "Love You Dead"

I, Colossus
Definitely some good ones so far, particularly Damien Rice. The Blowers Daughter is beatiful and the entire album is heartwrenching. When it comes to "romantic" songs, or songs about love I generally listen to songs on the other end of the spectrum. I think BOTH sides of love are essential to the human expirience. So, I'm going to throw in a few depressing songs (dealing with love) for good measure, lol. First off, All I Really Want To Do by the legendary Bob Dylan is probably my favorite love song, and the most true to my own expiriences with the emotion. Both All I Want Is You, and Anybody Else But You from the Juno soundtrack are extremely cute and simple love songs. There are a really good amount of love songs from the Scrubs soundtrack that I really enjoy too. The main one being Question? by the Old 97s. Really good alt-country band I fell in love with a few years back (when I heard Adelaide), they just performed here last Friday and I missed it cause of stupid money issues. :( Fresh Feeling by the Eels. Dreaming Of You by the Coral. And finally Our Love by Rhett Miller, the frontman of the Old 97s. A few others that come to mind (no more links, ha, tired of that) are:

Because + I've Just Seen A Face by The Beatles
Do You Realize?? by The Flaming Lips
Beck's cover of "True Love Will Find You In The End"*
Destiny by Zero 7
First Day of My Life by Bright Eyes
* For the record, I prefer the original by Daniel Johnston, but Beck's version is probably a tad more acessable. I'll be back to edit the heartbreak list, I require some gin, a joint, and some tissues before I attempt that, ha.
Boo
The Moulin Rouge call was good, but you cannot put down Your Song without adding Come What May as well. So... Lets see to adding to the thread. :3

Moulin Rouge - Come What May
Chris de Burgh - Lady in Red (cannot miss out on this one)
The Pogues - Love You 'til The End
Wir Sind Helden - Ausser Dir
Queen - You Take My Breath Away
Muse - Unintended
Aerosmith - I Don't Want to Miss a Thing
Finley Quaye & William Orbit - Dice
Air - All I Need
Bløf - Omarm
Robbie Williams - Angels / She's the One
West Side Story - Maria
Lion King II - Love Will Find A Way
Morcheeba (featuring Manda) - Au Déla A bit less candlelight-ish music:
Kraak & Smaak - Squeeze Me
Tomte - Ich Sang Die Ganze Zeit Von Dir
Daft Punk - Something About Us
Mia. - Tanz Der Moleküle
I think that's plenty for now. I make a hobby of putting together mixtapes, in a kind of obsessed High Fidelity-ish way, so yer, some love mixtapes werent out of the question. Right now working on a "Street Light Soundtrack" mixtape, filled with songs that are good for when its evening and you are going from one place to another - preferably with your head leaning against the glass of a car or train.

Humaru
Umm romance is a hard topic to narrow down music with but I guess this is what I can come up with: 1. "Can You feel the love the tonight" Lion King version because its awesome that way. 2.Stand by me- Ben E King....not too sure its a true romance song but it can be used in that manner. 3. Hikari- Hikaru Utada....kingdom hearts was all about romance and this song led the way for it. 4. Wasted- Gucci Mane....if this song isnt about romance then I dont know what is. lol. Nony
1. "Can You feel the love the tonight" Lion King version because its awesome that way.
Hahaaaa. I love you. :) Well, the only romantic song I can think of off the top of my head (that hasn't been listed already) is "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera. Specifically, I'm thinking of the 2004 film, since that's the only version of Phantom that I've actually seen. Anywho, I can't help but think it's romantic and sweet. Helps that you get this whole emotional buildup from the movie itself. I've said before that I'd have that song play at my wedding, and I'd still say that now.
