onenuttytanuki
Forrest J. Ackerman has died. To some of us on the board his name probably means little to nothing to. But to others, he means something. A very great man who's influence can still be felt today as passwed away yesterday from heart failure at age 92. He was the founding force behind such fan-zines as Famous Monsters of Filmland, Creepy, and Eerie during the 1960's through the 1980's. It was his format of a these magazines that can still be seen today in wide rage of hobby magazines. I'd go into more detail but it would just be easier to just read the wikipedia about him.
