Art Produit d'Humanité [Video]

[size=1]So, actually this is a video I made like two and a half years ago, but I feel like finally posting it up to compensate with my lack of posting art of the last years.

It was actually a project for school to make a one minute movie... That was the whole assignment. [i]Make a one minute movie[/i]. So, I enthusiastically started brainstorming and everything. The idea we ended up using, however did not come from brainstorming but from a mere conversation with me brother.

The result: Produit d'Humanité ([i]Product of Mankind[/i]), or with its original title: Produits Humaine ([i]Human Products[/i]). The latter being less correct French, but that was greatly on purpose to suit the video. However, I changed it back to more correct French (if its still incorrect, then its by accident and please let me know, haha) to leave it more open.

The music (by Eels) breaks at some point, because I cut away a short clip at that point. Do not let it bother you too much, s'il vous plait.

Anyway, see in it what you wish, but most of all... Enjoy. :]

It's quite cute and I imagine the teddy is dizzy by now. It's simple enough to be effective and the music fits right in. I was wondering, though, what it would be like if you added some cool effects. You know, like an 'old' video effect. Or switching between loads of video effects every time the video changes view.

I mean, it looks simply (see what I did there?) cool as it is, I were just thinking, is all =p. I like it. Does the teddy have a name?[/size]

[size=1]The monkey is one of my oldest plushies, going by the name Slingeraap (Swing Monkey). It lost it's tail, ears, eye and parts of plush due time.[/size]

I'm assuming the video has a deeper meaning than a monkey riding a turn table, like how man has actually devolved by riding the bandwagon of instant celebrity (through music for instance) that ultimately ends in his own demise?

...or it's just a monkey on a turn table.

Too bad you didn't have the monkey and turn table blow up at the end instead of hitting it with a stick, that would have been stronger.

But explosives may be hard to come by.

But I suppose if you're not a real director one might not go to those lengths.
