Rachmaninoff
So how many of you are getting hit by winter storms? We've been getting snowed on, making travel interesting since there's lots of people out there who don't slow down and either cause wrecks or end up in one. One year we had a bad storm hit and in less than 48 hours, we had over 700 wrecks, literally. Anyway, so what kind of weather do you usually get where you live? Any weird or wild exceptions? We normally get some form of snow. If not in the valley then in the mountains for sure. Some years it's on the dry side but still chilly. This year we're definitely going to have a white Christmas. How about the rest of you?
Cat
We have a green Christmas mostly here. If you live up in the mountain you tend to get some snow. The temperatures are warm still in the 70's or warmer. This week is suppose be in the 60's though. Winter cold doesn't seem to hit until January or February time. In the 8 years I've lived in Tucson I've seen it snow twice. Once it was just a little light snow the other time it was more heavy. They even closed bridges cause of ice. For some reason though they were not using sand but some weird salt mixed with some kind of liquid to unfreeze the bridges. They switched over to something else lucky when the figured out the little mixture didn't work. :animesighIt was sight to see. I still don't know what to think of it. I personally thought they would use sand. It was funny, schools stayed open but only a quarter of the students were there. How can you pass up a snow day! Sadly I was one of the few that was actually at school instead of having a snow day.:animeswea
Aaryanna
Well like Darren said, we're getting snow and we had that crazy storm a few years ago that caused so many accidents. Though if one is honest about it, it was stupid people not slowing down more than the weather. This year there hasn't been much in the way of snow until about a week ago. Usually we get it by Thanksgiving. ^^ Not that I'm complaining, even though it's pretty, I hate being cold. Sometimes even though it snows, it melts by Christmas so all we have is chilly weather and dead looking grass. At least when we have snow, my dog likes it. That dummy will wander all over the place getting soaked just to sniff everything and eat it. XP So she's been having a blast since it started snowing.
Sangome
We have NOTHING and it ticks me off like you wouldn't believe. :| I want a white Christmas, but instead, like every other year, we're getting a below zero, dead grass Christmas, with special guest: winds blowing at a million miles per hour! FUN!!! The last bit of hope I have is a wintry mix that's supposed to happen tonight. But just watch, it'll all be ice and rain... Edit: WHADDYA KNOW. IT STARTED RAINING. Hiko
I haven't heard of too many accidents, but I did see a few people spin around, and fish tail a bit. Lots of people have been tailgating me because I have been driving slower than the speed limit. We have about a foot of snow and its been snowing more. Sometimes its just too much. 'Gome you don't know how much I want to give you!
pooperson
My mom & I had to buy new supplies for my fish Kyle today, & we were going about 20 the entire way home & passed maybe 6 or 7 accidents, at least. It was only a few miles. Anyway, yeah. Indiana's getting hit really hard with sleet. It's not so good.

We are gettin' it up here! Last week Friday we had a huge snow storm across the majority of our state and it literally snowed about 2-3 inches every hour! It sucked because I had to drive in the crap, but meh. Every school was closed too. Really fun that day was... The crappier part of this is that it's still not done. Right now at this moment another is blowin' in. Michigan gets all four seasons so it's very fun to live here...unless your looking for work that is. James
We are having a hot, dry Christmas... because it's summer here! Heheh. I think it'll be rainy in Sydney (and probably humid), but it's not too bad here in Melbourne.
Magus
We're probably going to have a white christmas this year. We got up to about 10 inches this past Friday, and it's either snowing now, or it was snowing earlier. Temperatures are on the rise though and the weather folks are talking about rain, sleet and/or freezing rain. So it could be slick on christmas... "shrugs". OMNOMNOMALY
We just got dumped with snow on the weekend and there will probably be more coming tonight. First white Christmas in Van in over 30 years or something. I'm not happy because it sounds as if I might not be able to get home after all, for the holidays. update: flight cancelled at 6:26 AM. On the phone now with the airline. Reeeeeally upset. updatedupdate: soonest flight I could get was Christmas morning, 6:25 AM. Wish me luck...
Esther
I live in Southern California, so it obviously hasn't snowed here. But apparently it snowed here last year and there's a small chance it might snow again this year! Global warming, anyone? Hehehe.
SaiyanPrincessX
We've had such crazy weather lately. It started getting cold earlier this year, around late October I think. And its been really freaking cold. The other day it was 2 degrees, with a windchill of -23°F, and very windy. Its been like that for days. Today however wasn't as cold. Its about 33°F currently, with freezing rain. Thats always fun. XD Its actually suppose to be 55°F on saturday, with rain of course. Ohio is so messed up. Anyway, we're suppose to have some snow Christmas morning. Christmas weather varies every year. A couple years ago it was almost 60°F, but on Easter we had a ton of snow. o_O Snow is okay, I liked it more when I was younger. I hate cold weather. Piling on loads of clothes just to go outside is not my thing.
Aaryanna_Mom
The last week has seen us getting a lot of snow. Since I did not have to travel anywhere this Christmas I did not mind it. Whether or not we'll get snow on Christmas varies so much that it's not unusual for us to not get anything on the actual holiday.
Vicky
We have British weather. That means snow in August, rain in the would-be-snow-months, cold sun in Spring and rain in Summer. There was snow one day and on that day I was late for the bus and ended up slipping and smacking my face off a wall.
SaiyanPrincessX
We didn't end up having a white Christmas. We had flurries, but that was it. It was freezing though. Its rainy/drizzle right now. o_O
Raiha
It poured the entire week up to Christmas, and now, Boxing day, December 26th, it's sunny and windy, but the point is that it's SUNNY. Christmas day itself sale gale force winds that rocked the house and took a few shingles with it. Yeah, I'm over this winter thing already. The only good news is that the weather keeps me indoors and straight into my boyfriend's bed. From there we can play Wii, watch movies, drink cider, and cuddle like errant bunnies.
Ikillion
Texas seriously doesn't make any sense sometimes. Early on this week( aka Monday + Tuesday) it was below freezing just about everywhere I live, around the upper teens to the low twenties which made it kinda cool since it snowed around a bit but I'm pretty sure in most places it melted before christmas. The last couple of days have been pretty average in the 30's to 50's. Then today nature decides to throw us a curve ball and make it a humid day the 80's with wind every. And whenever that happens there is bound to be a gigantic rainstorm coming up with tornadoes as a bonus, oh joy.
Nathan
We had snow the week before and on Christmas day. It's nice and pretty as they put it, but I hate the poor weather since it makes my job harder. Right now it's easing off, but I could live without getting any snow during the winter. We always get something though, even if it's just in the mountains, so I still get to deal with it no matter what. lol
chibi-master
It was REALLY warm in Arkansas! Not to mention humid! But I can't be too sure because I left the house only ONCE on Christams to call my friend and update her on how my vacation in another state was going...AUGH...I'm so tired. I just got back home...a day long drive with my parents, sister and pets. One dog, one cat...
