Picture Quality

There has always been a better quality show (picture wise) with American DBZ episodes but in England because we have our eps edited by a Candian company our picture quality is worse. Only recently has the quality improved after the Canadians Went BACK and re-did the eps using American episodes. Weird I know, but you americans should count yourselves lucky

Lol, I couldn't really see someone like Vegeta talking like that
Actually... The American dub voice for Veggie has some sort of accent... can't put my finger on what type, though... I mean, it's obvious they want Vegeta's chara to have an accent, because if you listen to Piccolo or Yamcha's voices (which are both voiced over by the same guy) their voices don't have the same accent. SO (gawd, this is a ball of confusing trash) the dude doing the voice for Vegeta is purposely giving him an accent.... *gasp* There.... lol :D

As for a British accent for Vegeta... I think it would blend with his characteristics, quite well. He's royality.... I guess I can just picture him with a hoity-toity, "I'm better than you," British type accent... oops... am I stereotyping? :-\

Yea, i was wondering the same thing. I thought that they kept the voices the same for the states and england, or if they had accents for england. That would be funny. Now, watch a person from engalnd come in and tell us all off for thinking that, or say something lik "DUH!!" LOL...

DUH!! :haha: Sorry couldn't resist :whoops:

Can you guys really imagine funi spending all that money on British accents? Nope we just get the regular subs with American accents, I'm not quite sure what Vegeta's accent is supposed to be either  :D

Even though I live in Britain I would hate to see English accents on the eps. Funimation don't provide the eps for England, AB distribution do. But I find it really weird that the person who plays Goku in season 5 (I think) of DBZ in America is a woman, she does do it well though I must admit

Amen to that! I saw a straight from video clip of Goku powering up to Super SSJ, followed by Majin Vegeta, and the picute quality was so horrible, you couldn't even see the "M" tatoo on Vegeta! So, I couldn't imagin what it was like for yall over there. Yuck.

Oh my god, as if you thought they'd do that over here. that would be quite funny--

[english southern accent]'I say, kakarot, when shall we have that fight, old chap?'[/english southern accent]

Of course, I know most of us don't talk like that. Man, if I talked like that I'd probably not talk, but that would be quite funny. DBZ would be a comedy over here if they did that...
I wonder what vegita would look like with a monacle... hmmmm...

Well I don't know what to say about all this but I'm gonna speak anyways....
I've kinda wondered the smae thing....since the US and Britian have the same language...(sort of) I've wondered if they change any words or the accents for that matter....
But about Vegeta's accent...I always thought it was sort of a spin off the British accent since Vegeta is pompous and arrogant alot of the time!!!!
Or is that just my way of thinking

I'm assuming you meant that in a different way than I originally assumed:therock: ...
Us? pompous and arrogant? OK pompous maybe, but, but, but.... never mind...

hey... whatever you do (I'm talkin' to everyone here :all:) DO NOT make an argument about who's pompous and arrogant and who's not.... I'm sure sweetreyes meant it in the most innocent non offensive way possible.

You all want an english Vegita? Well, just to let you know, he doesn't have an english accent in the england dubs. :cross: And if anyone thought that an english Vegita would have a posh voice they can SHOVE THEIR NOSES UP A SKUNKS ARSE!!! *Pant pant* Sorry :D I just go crazy when the words "english accent" are said coz' I think of a person thinking that english ppl are all posh and all that fake crap.

Anywayz, back to the topic, I'm pretty sure that they DO dub the American ones again, but for what reason I'm not sure. Although the strange thing IS: They still say "mom" instead of the english way! (mum) My proof that they re-dub is that I've seen a clip of where Gokou's about to fight Cell in the English version AND the american version.

A' Version: Bring it on...:smirk:

E' Version: BRING IT ON!!! :flaming:

I'm acually pretty pissed off about that becuase it is probably oe of the reasons why english ppl get DBZ months after the americans!

HOLY MOLY I JUST LOOKED AT ALL MY POST AND BOY HAVE I DONE A :lecture:!!! I'll shut up now :D

very nicely put. I couldn't have put it better myself...
I'm from UK and I sound NOTHING like all the posh crap we hear. Personally I think I could imagine vegeta with a cockney or scouse accent...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!*Bangs head against wall*
I can imagine Vegeta with a british accent! The guy that does his voice (Chris Sabat) has to force an english accent into Vegeta's voice because since he does Piccolo's and Yamcha's voice, he has to make them sound different. And I agree, a heavy british accent on Vegeta in the episodes would make me laugh until I'm in the hospital with a cracked rib. Imagine this:Vegeta's british accent-Blimey, Kakarot! What the bloody hell was that? (sorry ppl, but that's the best that I could come up with!)
