What if...

Okay, I was daydreaming today and I got an idea for a new thread, this one! Okay, let's say you met the 10 year old version of yourself and the 10 year older version of yourself (Don't ask how. Something about a time machine, m'kay?). Now:

What would you tell your 10 year old self?

What would you ask your 10 year older self?

Yes, it can be more than one things you ask or tell. Personally, I wouldn't tell my younger self anything at all, for fear of screwing up the past. As for my older self, I'd want to know if I have any love interests, how was high school, where did I go to college, what's my job now and if I have any regrets. Oh, and I'd demand to know her chest size. Yeah.

Ten years old? I would be young, i probably wouldn't comprehend anything, plus remember any of it, but I would try to teach myself valuable skills (Like Nun-chucks or bow-staff, whatever the girls like..:animesigh Hahaha.Napoleon Dynamite ) Just kidding, but really good skills and habits.

This is all different for ten years in advance. I'm debating weather of not i would want to know about my love life. but I want to know my advances, like my career, because I don't know what I want to do... I also want to know about my prosperity in Pole Vaulting (Yes, I pole Vault) and diving and music arts such as the flute and plays =] but its really a matter of, would I ruin it, and just prepare for it and change myself? Or would I stop and live the experiences without knowledge, to get the full value.

"Did it pay off? Or did you wave at yet another one as it sailed over your head?"

"Also why haven't you started that doggone book yet?"

If I met my 10 year old self, assuming I could tell him stuff without altering the past, I'd ask him what he wants to be when he grows up. Seems like it was paleontologist or something. I just want to be reminded. Then I'd ask him how he'd feel if I told him I was hoping to get into the animation field. Then I'd chuckle about how 17 year old me seems like a bigger kid than 10 year old me.

I'd ask my 27 year old self what stocks to invest in. It's not insider trading if I give myself the information, right?

Ok, but in fear of screwing up the past, if you ask your older self questions couldn't that possibly screw up your future by you knowing what was going to happen and thereby being able to alter it?

Anyway, my younger self, I would probably say to never date a guy named Taylor. Her life would go so much smoother.

My older self, I would ask hundreds of questions about what the future is life, my career, my weight, and probably my love life. Maybe it won't suck as much by then.

"Take better care of your arms when you get that job of yours. Oh and by the way... In a few years time, you'll start having odd visions and develop odd talents such as empathy and the gift of divination. Enjoy."
What would you ask your 10 year older self?
"Did my arms ever get better and did I ever get into the fire service?"

------------

That's pretty much the extent of it for me. Lol. :P

Wow, I can honestly say that this would be really awkward for me due to the fact that when I was ten I was a mature as a fifteen year old, no lie... What would I tell my 10 year old self,

"Not all of your mother's relationships turn out bad, she meets someone who takes good care of her, oh and by the way, don't trust your dad."

And...

"You don't end up like your mom, you meet someone wonderful that wants to be with you forever."

What my 10 year old self would ask me?

"Do I ever get pretty, and what job do I get in the future?"

I wouldn't tell myself anything because I wouldn't know what to say. My memory is terrible when concerning the past but I know I was a quiet kid and a lot of things could have been prevented but I wouldn't risk it. I wouldn't risk being different, even though sometimes it's pretty damn horrid and changing drug dosages/therapists constantly gets on my nerves. But no, I wouldn't say anything, because I know I wouldn't listen =).

I'd ask if it was worth it.

What would you tell your 10 year old self?

Well almost 5 years ago I was 10. So I would tell her to not be such a smart mouth and be thankful for what she has. I would tell her to be a better older sister and set a better example. And she would need to stop biting her nails.......yes.......no nail biting 10 year old me!

What would you ask your 10 year older self?

Oooh, this is a good one. I'm going to be like 25 so I would have to ask how college is. What college am I going to? Am I getting good grades? do I drink wine? Am I really enjoying doctoring? I would ask how life is without my family being with me and how is my little brother.

I'm not really sure about asking my 10 year older self anything....because I don't want to be dissapointed, though. On the other hand I would really love to tell my ten year old self some things so that her life wouldn't have the problems it has now....and not to bite her nails. :catgirl:

I would tell my 10 year old self that school isn't that bad, what with it's guaranteed holidays every school term and cruisy 6 hour days. I'd tell him if he thinks that's bad, he should see the workforce!

And I'd say that with every intention of altering the past and my fortunes in the present, bugger the whole "it made me who I am" sap.

And I'd tell my 10 year older self absolutely nothing, I would however, love hanging out in his six million dollar mansion in the hills (caused by telling my 10 year old self to get the family investing in Google.).

What would you tell your 10-year-old self?
Well, one very specific thing which I don't really want to go into here, as it concerns my personal health (and now I watch as you try to work out what's wrong with me). Other than that, I'd pretty much tell him to get more exercise, and not to waste all his money on pointless things.

What would you ask your 10-year-older self?
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I like the fact that everything in my future is uncertain - it means I work hard towards whatever I want without any pre-conceived notions of what I'm going to end up doing. Plus, I enjoy surprises.

Don't take yourself too seriously. Pay more attention in school. Don't eat so much junk food. You don't have to like boys if you don't want to, but girls aren't much better, I promise.

What would you ask your 10-year-older self?

If I were to meet my younger self, I'd slap him and tell him to not turn into an idiot.

If I met my elder self, I'd slap him for letting it happen.

So I guess I wouldn't like to ask myself questions so much as I'd like to engage in some self-masochism.
