I liked The Last Airbender! But people have different tastes in movies.
And I need a topic to look up for my Physics class. I have to give a little speech about a current event in the science field. . .Anyone know of anything current that I could talk about in class? =D?

Well, did you watch the animated series? I really don't think you can be a fan of both, they are just too different.

also check out articals on the Higgs Boson/God Particle. Currently scientists are trying to prove its existence with a Large Hadron Collider (yah know... that thing that was supposed to create a black hole and gobble us up)

anyways there is a giant world-wide race to prove or disprove the God Particle theory so it might be worth a look.

I never really watched the animated series, but I have seen a couple episodes But my friend watched the movie and the series and she still liked both. :V
And I never heard of the God Particle. Oo But it sounds really interesting. And the idea of a black hole is just terrifying for me. ._. But I think I will use this for my class. Thanks. ^^ At first, I was going to talk about holograms, but this sounds more cool. =P

Agreed. For example, in the animated series, it doesn't take 6 earthbenders and a crapload of stomping and arm waving to move one clump of dirt slowly across the screen.

well, the series was a 61 episode set, comprised of three books. each episode can be fun, but you kinda get connected to the characters after watching the show for a while. these character types do not carry over into the movie, as well as many other key elements in the animated series. I suppose its possible to like both, but you would be a much more dynamic person than I am, because you would have to like them for entirely different reasons. the only thing the two have in common is a concept and a name or two.

also, the black whole thing was just a skepticism. The press went wild and it became a global fear. Like most of these it died out once the the LHC was used and nothing went wrong.
honestly wikipedia is a great source to find more information about it,
http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries/news/2002/08/54507
this wired article might help with the current event part.

They did that so they could preemptively nerf Toph. How else do you expect them to explain why she can't singlehandedly wipe out the entire M. Night Shamwow wussified Fire Nation Army and their crippling need to carry lanterns around? Edited by The Professor

I remember when I was younger, I kept on telling myself to watch the animated series of Avatar, but I never really got to it. :V But the thing that bothered me the most about the movie was the cinematography, the camera angles and stuff like that. >> I was taking a film class at the time so I was criticizing every detail in the movie. :V;

And as for the God Particle, I totally already had that link before you gave it to me. :V

I DO NOT CARE! If there is ONE thing you can not do with the series, it is this: DO NOT F***ING MESS UP TOPH BEI FONG!!!

It's bad enough that my favorite element got ruined with that one scene, but don't spread it to Toph, dammit!

Appa looked like he had tentacles half the time I'm pretty sure he was a bison in the animated series not an octupus ...

OMG. Okay...so... I was on my computer and I decided that I needed to go to the bathroom. It was dark. I turned on the lights and I saw something jump. ._. It was a brown cricket. ;~; I hate those things so much! And it was the biggest brown cricket I have ever seen! It very well might be the bug I fear the most... next to wasps. And I was going to kill it... but I couldn't bring myself to do it because if I miss, it would jump after me! ...so I just left the bathroom and decided to let my mom deal with it in the morning. :V ...I hate brown crickets. ._. I don't think I ever get hyper anymore. Maybe if I smoked more crack I could pull it off, but for the most part my energy is the same, save for a few giant dips into slug mode.

how many of you are ALREADY sick of Christmas carols?

I wish that they (the radio stations) wouldn't start playing Christmas songs so early :/ If they started later I might actually have the chance to enojy them Edited by NeonMuffinBot

Say, "Wow, CaNz! You sure are witty! Also, you're profile views are so spectacular I could just giggle!" It's better than nothing, I guess.

You'll learn to control it as it begins to happen much more frequently. Harness the energy and the world is yours.

don't listen to my little sister, complementing me normally just makes me say more things you wont know exactly what to say to... like "will you marry me?"
really i didn't think you would reply to me! and if you did it would i thought it would be a scoff on my insensitivity to people who like to smoke crack.

also my profile views are nothing to laugh at... 4000 views is serious business.

Okay, so... I was looking for stuff on my bed, and I looked up at my shelf...and that same bug that I talked about before was there... But when I posted the picture of it in theO Chat, Kei said "That ain't no damn cricket, that's an eldritch abomination." And then Gome told me it was a camel/spider cricket. Oo ._. No wonder I hate them so much. I hate spiders! And I also got some "ewwww" reactions...lol. But I totally thought those were brown crickets. :V And the bug is on tape, so it can't move that much!... but I still can't get myself to kill it. >> But yeah, here is the bug. That is no cricket. I don't know what it is. I just know its not a cricket. All you need to do is step on it. If its on the tape it wont jump on you. If I was there I would squish it for you.

This reminds me of when there was a grasshopper in the girls bathroom at the college and no one would go in there. All the girls were just waiting outside. I went in squish the little bug and problem solved. It was the funniest think ever cause the looks on their faces was priceless. Edited by Cat

That reminds me of the time my family and I were at a hotel in I think Canada (I think Travelodge) and they saw a friggin praying mantis outside the door (on the screen). Of course being the person that I am, I missed everything >_>. This is also reminds me when a neighbor across the street from me had a praying mantis outside her screen door and she was screaming like crazy. I was cracking up.

In any case, I'm beginning to remember why I stopped watching wrestling. It's not entertaining anymore. And holy cow, the patriots are murdering the jets. Edited by Phenom

NOT A CRICKET!!! KILL IMMEDIATELY!!! Use a large, heavy object able to be smashed down on that malformation of an insect from FAR away.

No, it's definitely a cricket. We get them all the time during this time of year. I think her's is just...extra zoomed in. If it was that big, I'd be running. Far, far away.
