The Padded Room Party: Random Thoughts

I'm sad because we don't have any crackers in the house.

On a semi-unrelated note, my teeth hurt a lot. I decided it was a good idea to start wearing my retainer again at night to fix my teeth. I didn't consider the massive amounts of pain I would be feeling. Plus, it's orange, & I don't like that color anymore.

Oh, I was also told today that my "singing & guitar playing is so horrible" that I could very well be "one of the greatest indie artists ever". I was only kind of offended.
I'm pretty sure Google does.

Just a guess, though I could be wrong.
Nah, see, according to google, the scientific name for prostate cancer is the same as the scientific name for pomegranites...:animedepr

A basic knowledge of how Google works is helpful.

See, I searched for "scientific name for prostate cancer," and the first result stated:
It is being studied for its ability to delay or prevent recurrent prostate cancer. The scientific name is Punica granatum . ...[/COLOR']
If I were anyone else, I would be satisfied with "Punica granatum" as the scientific name for prostate cancer. I mean, the result yielded all the keywords I searched for, and it was the number one result, so it had to be it, right?

However, being the clever lad that I am, I clicked on the link, and, believe it or not, read through the page. And guess what I found? Lo and behold, Punica granatum was not the scientific name for prostate cancer, but was, in fact, the scientific name for... you guessed it! Pomegranites.

So as you can see, just by doing a little thing I like to refer to as "reading," I was able to skillfully deduce that the terms "Punica granatum," and "prostate cancer" are completely unrelated.

Neat-o!

PS: Medical term for cancer is "malignant neoplasm," and the medical term for prostate is "prostate."
Hmm... It almost seems as if you believe that I didn't do all these things.
The more important point is, you should use the pomegranate term anyway because nobody will be the wiser (high school project, right?), and that's a lot more fun.

Cod in general is just disgusting. Haddock... well they can keep that too. I like Salmon though you can't eat much of it when you're pregnant.

I've had the oddest feeling lately that I'm gonna have twin boys. Any suggestions?

0_0?! Whoa, wait, what?! When did this happen?! And suggestions for what, by the way?

And John, it's actually an 8th grade project, and I'm pretty sure my health teacher will at least look the scientific names up...

Names, a good psychologist. Maybe some more birth control.

Except that I predicted that my daughter would be a girl and that one of my cousins was having a girl and that my best friend's daughter would be born on February 29th back in 2004. So I'm good at this. Just thank God I'm NOT PREGNANT NOW!

Oh yeah, and my friends have started taking bets to see if I will faint or fall into Shushwap Lake when my boyfriend proposes. Aren't they sweet?

There aren't many rollercoasters in Australia, so I don't know how common this type of thing is.
I live in Australia... It all depends where you are! I mean, the eastern states with Movieworld and all those theme parks are crazy. But if you live on the other side of Australia, such as Perth (like me) it's not so common. I've been to a few theme parks, and some of the rollercoasters are practically lethal, but most of them are really... not scary. Like, not scream-worthy at all.
It's not that common i guess but it all depends where abouts in Australia you are.
Sounds like a story to me! SPILL. NOW.
Short version of the story: I have a friend that is extremely pessimistic and negative about pretty much everything. I show concern for her, and she doesn't take my [or our mutual friend's] concern seriously at all. It's not healthy, and she knows it, but she has the "It hasn't killed me yet" mentality. Her parents are also concerned for her, but that too doesn't seem to faze her.

She also basically undermined my intelligence by insinuating all I ever read is manga and I don't read anything without pictures in it, which is downright absurd since I've been a writer for about two years now. I think I can handle text without pictures just fine.

So I'm just going to not talk to her for a couple of days while I cool down.

And, believe it or not, this is the least of my friend issues right now. Though that's a story for another day.

On a totally unrelated note: Good grief it's as hot as blazes. I need new shorts.

Indi you should ask if there's money involved. I at least did that and put about twenty dollars and two loonies on one of my friends stuttering like the village idiot when her boyfriend pops her the question. Tell your friends that you want in on the betting pool since it's your body. Hmm wish I could do that.

Or you could just tell them as nicely as possible: In this matter you should not concern yourself for my sake.

Find new friends.
Oh I'm tempted, believe me, I am. Some of them it's nothing more than a joke, but a few are downright annoying as hell with their talk of how I can kiss getting my Ph.D goodbye.

Those who are just ribbing me, I don't mind. It's the ones who are actually serious about it that really grate on my nerves. To the point that I've stopped doing anything with a few of them.

Ph.D? I'm looking at going to my nursing classes pregnant as all get out in a few years. I'm just putting them off because credits from New York don't usually transfer out of state since New York's health care standards are very high.

Keh you can easily go to school when you have kids. You just need the right baby sitters and the correct support groups *glares at Nathan*
