Pleiades Rising
Montreal will have to make do without a shirt-less uber-manly Kastom, sadly. Still, it should be awesome.
kintoki
We are a new convention in Sacramento, CA. It would seem you guys don't have a convention thread so we will post what needs to be said here: We are artists, staffs, attendees, and sponsors of Kintoki-Con, an event that focuses on bringing the convention's experience back to the culture; and to the fans. In addition to celebrating Japanese culture and animation, we will embrace other cultures, such as Korean and Chinese influences. Please join us at our next convention in Sacramento, California on June 18-19, 2011!. So what is Kintoki-Con? Kintoki-con is a con created not just around Japanese media (though it is a great part of it) but also Korean and Chinese. Afterall, Japan would not have existed without China right? (Hetalia reference). Korea's recent shining days are also a welcoming show of just how fast it can catch up to the game. Why Kintoki-Con? The name Kintoki was a spoof from Golden Hour (or Golden Time), which is when most TV stations host the hottest shows. For Japan it's when the otakus get home from work. In China it's when kids go online in search of their favorite anime after school. In the US...its the news hour when parents get home and cartoon hour for the kids (or at least it used to be cartoon hour...lol). Kaze-Hime of Deviantart was the one who came up with the name, after much debating over other name options. Guests of Honor: Mary Elizabeth McGlynn Richard Epcar Takamasa Sakurai Makenai Yukie Dong Kurot and KL-chan Yuumei Ryusuke Hamamoto Team LOVEHATE And more to come! Events: KingToki of Games! Evening Dance (Semi-Formal to Formal) Cosplay Masquerade Hall Cosplay Maid Cafe Bug Exhibit and Beetle Battle (beetle battle is tentative) More to come! Dealers info is online. Artist Alley is FULL (in under 48 hours!) We hope to see you there!

fujyoshi
I actually bring 2 suit cases kinda. Well more so I bring my cosplay stuff in a messanger bag and regular stuff in the other bag. Thats if I go to a big con though where you stay at the hotel and stuff for 3 days. If I go to a smaller con then I just go wit the cosplay outfit alraedy on. money, ID, water, convention badge, camera(of course), cell phone(and chargeer), props(depending) although this is the first year I'm actually making a cosplay prop, other essentials are pretty self explainitory. Axel
I don't get to go to many. We don't have a lot here in the UK. Most are in London too.

Money - Especially if it's London. It's an expensive crudhole.
My medical bag - I always carry a medical bag with me. Bandages, plasters, distilled witch hazel, citirizine hydrochloride, paracetamol, cotton pads, Diocalm.
Cos-play - Clothing and accessories.
Liquids - Obviously, I can drink water, so I usually have some form of juice for quick sugar boosts.
Sweet snacks - As the doctor ordered, I have to keep biscuits with me.
Signing material - Just in case. I often get people asking for autographs. Grr.
Female items - Just in case. Not just for me, but in case other's get caught out too.
Business cards - Always good to shamelessly plug.

Not this coming weekend, but the weekend after that is Youmacon in good ol' Detroit, Michigan. Is there anyone on OB who is considering attending? Any cosplayers? Panel-leaders? This is my fourth-straight year attending, [s]so I want to make sure I have something to do if the schedule fails me[/s] yet I don't think I've never met any OB people there that weren't also scheming with me on theO. Lyndy
I planned on goin' with Foof/Hiko this year, but then expenses of school and a car had to get in the way. :( We even spent quite some time somewhat talking about what we were gonna cosplay as. He was gonna cosplay as Demyx from KH2 and even get the mohawk. I was really excited about seeing him with a mohawk. I even got my cosplay outfit for Youmacon. ._. But I guess it'll just have to wait for 'nother cosplay event. But to those who are goin', have fun!
Dragon Warrior
I live in Michigan and my friends have been trying to get me to go for the past five years, but I always have something going on on those weekends. And, as usual, I do this year. I'd go if I didn't have to perform in a show. I swear I'll get there next year, damnit.
