Nomurah!
I just feel like talking about these genres since I started listening to a crap load of the stuff. I got in a deathcore band called Kingdom Under Siege, and ever since, I've been constantly blairing headache music. Love it, though. Here's what I dig: Stick to Your Guns Her Demise My Rise The Devil Wears Prada Underneath the Gun For the Fallen Dreams Miss May I Stray From the Path My Children My Bride Carnifex Winds of Plague Embrace the End Emmure Bring Me the Horizon Oceano A Bullet for Pretty Boy Underoath This Runs Through Attack Attack My Hands to War Here Comes the Kraken xDEATHSTARx Whitechapel
HopscotchEyelid
Cool, another person who is into heavy music. I tend to be into a little bit of a different heavy from yours usually, but I still think your list is solid, from the ones I know. The bands I usually like don't have the word "core" in their genre. I like Melodic Death Metal, Industrial Metal, Alternative Metal, Folk Metal, Metal, Nu-Metal, Progressive Metal, Experimental Metal, and Mixed Metal genres. My Favorites of the genres I listed: Scar Symmetry (Melodic Death Metal) Mushroomhead (Experimental Metal) System of a Down (Mixed Metal Genres) Taproot (Nu-Metal) Fair To Midland (Progressive and Folk Metal) Black Flood Diesel (Metal) VentanA (Industrial Metal) Hour Cast (Alternative Metal) My favorite one on your list is probably The Devil Wears Prada. Mainly because it's heavy but uses clean vocals as well. Underoath does that too but I don't like his singing voice, and it seams like screamo, not metal. Nomurah!
I don't like metal. I only listen to stuff with hardcore influence. Well, if I want to hear something heavy, I listen to stuff with hardcore influence. System of a Down are great though. Zen
You already know the score with me, Nomurah. But you should just change it to "Hardcore and Subsequent Genres" or "Extreme Music", cuz I wanna talk about A Day To Remember and At The Gates and Vader and Decapitated and Gallows. Silly.

Jabberwocky
Let's not forget Iwrestledabearonce! They have a new CD out I think? I mean, listen to that GIRL growl and scream. Hell she even sounds like an angel when she's in hormony! By the way Nomurah, Silverstein should go under UnderOath :p Also, victory goes to HopscotchEyelid for mentoning Fair to Midland. Orphan Anthem is amazing and so is Granny Niblo. If you want to hear some of their old stuff, I suggest See, Saw and Stiffback. They're amazing songs. In fact, FTM is one of my all time favorite bands. So you get victory, haha!

Oceano are really good though, same with Winds. I've recently started listening to more technical deathcore. Stuff like Veil Of Maya, All Shall Perish, Whitechapel, After The Burial, and LOADS more. I just can't remember them right now, haha
Botar
If I may cross the line over to death metal,(My old genera of choice.) Nile. Necrophagist. Kill What I Adore. Cannibal Corpse. Opeth. Dying Fetus. Cock and Ball Torture.(PornoGrind genera) Burning away. Mashuga. That was good stuff, now I listen to punk, ska, and jazz, go figure. Nomurah!
Hence the name and the two genres listed people... Saw Emmure Wednesday night. Was beautiful. I like Veil of Maya, boothten. Considering most of the bands you pointed out as generic don't sound alike other than yes, they use breakdowns, considering that's a big part of what metalcore and deathcore is... I'm sure you havn't heard most of them. If you want technical stuff, the best technical deathcore band is probably Born of Osiris.

Or the new All Shall Perish album. BOO kinda of copied Veil Of Maya's sound. Veil started the whole super tech deathcore sound, and BOO took HEAVY influence from them. Also, BOOs new cd is complete crap, it's more of them same as the last cd. I heard it about a month back (I'm friends with all the guys in the band) and it's just not... I don't know how to put it. Don't get me wrong it's the same old BOO, brute and techy as hell. But that's just it, it's the same old BOO. After The Burial have to be one of my favorite bands at the moment. They're like Veil/BOO, but they seriously kept going with the tech/brute sound and kept going with it. Lots of stutters and weird and off-tempo time signatures, but once you get it down it's all just amazing. Up and coming show for me here in San Diego: Devil Driver Emmure Stick To Your Guns Despised Icon MyChildrenMyBride Despised Icon Veil Of Maya For The Fallen Dreams Oceano Periphery Thy Will Be Done HOLYCRAPIJUSTcame. But whatever. I picked up Suicide Silence's new CD, No Time To Bleed and I am very pleased. While not every song is necessarily original when compared to the songs on the CD, Suicide Silence's sound is extremely original and it's own amongst the extreme music scene.
