Gaming The 2009 Video Game Awards(VGA)

Well another year has gone by and all the top video games of 2009 have been decided of which is the best for genres, actor voices, movie-to-game's, and many others. It was a great Awards show, with Jack Black starting off by winning the best Voice for his voice in Brutal Legend. He came out wearing his crown that said ''Game of The Year'' and he was convinced that he had just won the Game of the Year award. He was thanking everyone and then was reminded that he had won the Best Voice in a Game. He made a scene and smashed his award and was escorted off stage, being laughed at by everyone. It was an awesome way to start the show :)

I decided to travel to Wikipedia and see if they had the winners of all the awards on there, and they do! Unfortunately they didnt have all the nominations but I thought I would post the awards here so we can get some input on what people thought about the winners and who you think should have won.( Im unsure if it was wrong to paste text from another site but I'm stating I got this from Wikipedia this list isn;t created by me. lol

There is the list. I was happy with most of the winners although I hoped Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 would win more awards as well as Game of The Year. I was unsure of how the votes were tallied because some games like Uncharted were exclusives only to PS3 and others for Xbox 360. I didn't understand how they got more votes for an exclusive other than for a game that every system was waiting for. Another one i didn't agree with was Best Soundtrack which was DJ Hero... Im not a rap fan and personally I thought that game looked stupid compared to Rock band and Guitar Hero. I did not think it would end up winning best soundtrack compared to Guitar hero 5 and Rock Band because they have like every genre of music compared to just rap/hip hop lol.. But thats just my opinion. And I want to hear your opinion!

I didn't get to see all of it. I only saw up to best Action/Adventure. (I was very sleepy and was working with a bad stomach ache) I was quite shocked to see that Jack Black beat out Mark Hamill for best voice... But then again, I'm also bias since I don't really care for anything Jack Black does.

I was also shocked to see that Assassins Creed 2 beat out Uncharted 2 for best action/adventure. I thought for sure that Uncharted would take that category. "shrugs"

That list is not half bad though. Although there are a few games I would never touch a day in my life, but at the same time I do have a lot to look forward to when I get my ps3 and X360.[/size][/color]

The show was ok. All the games I thought would win did. Call of Duty was no suprise in the shooter category. Although I thought it would take the cake for Game of the Year too. I guess since Uncharted 2 was out longer than Modern Warefare 2. Best soundtrack is debateable too. But eh, it was a good show.

Looking forward to next year in gaming. This year was awesome.[/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT]

Its not being bias really. He didn't do anything with his voice that he hasn't done already. He basically just talked and let em stick it into the game, Mark Hamill on the other hand... Until I finally payed attention to the credits of the game I didn't realize that was Hamill. Jack Black in comparison is... blah. Oh well...
