I'm not so much interested in what the players look like, because chances are that we'll end up having to be either one anyway. I'm more interested in the starters I get to pick from! The fire one had better be awesome, too! I don't want to have to go through the game with a fiery pill bug or something.

But, I agree with Chibi. I haven't really liked any of the Fire starters in R/S/E or D/P/Pt . Blaziken and Infernape just couldn't match the cool factor of Typholosion or Charizard.I found myself gravitating towards Sceptile and Empoleon more.[/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT]

[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Eh, I actually though Blaziken was pretty awesome. It was a decent fighting type available early in the game and its final form looked kinda cool. Infernape was a massive fail for me, though. Both for being a carbon copy of the previous Gen's fire starter and for being the first starter to cave in to the notion that monkeys are the only way to make anything cool.

Luckily, Torterra was win dipped in chocolate, so it's all good.[/FONT]

I think it'd be awesome if they broke the convention of always having the starters be a Grass, Fire, and Water type; although I do like me Grass types. But I highly doubt they'll do that.

If these are official, it will not end well. They definitely are not the shadows of the starters posted, so I don't think they're official.

It would also be one of the few, proud members on the "Bug-Type Pokémon worth half a damn" Club, up there with Heracross, Scyther/Scizor, Vespiquen and Yanmega.[/FONT]

Honesty these new pokemon look ridiculous I mean really. I the water one looks like a bidoof and a piplup had a child. The Grass one is just eh, but I will say that pig one looks real cool cause he shoots fire.

[FONT="Comic Sans MS"]These are actually both great designs. Other than the very, very top of the female Trainer's hair, I really can't find anything to complain about for either of them. I actually kinda like the female's shorts, weird as they are. They remind me of cutoffs.

Also, hooray! A female trainer I can find attractive without raising some awkward questions about myself!

As for the starters, I'm a little disappointed, but none of them seem to be Chimchar-bad, so I'm okay with them. I take back what I said about the otter, though. Its nose is going to distract me. I'm gonna have to see their final evolutions before making a choice.

EDIT: I SEE RAILROAD TRACKS. Though I'm gonna have to call it on Game Freak if that's the new method of transportation, we already had a train.

[SIZE="1"]I can see myself picking the otter more than I can the other two. A fire pig just doesn't sit very well with me, and I never ever ever go with the grass-type. I've also gone with the water type in every single game before hand; my first ever Pokemon was Squirtle at age 7 or 8.

Of course I could just end up doing what I did in Platinum and leaving my starter in the box after a decent amount of time. [/SIZE]

And the fact that the characters are a bit older this time and not "lol we look like teenagers but we're actually ten lololol" is great. I'm kind of hoping this means there will be a bit deeper plot than the usual Become-Champion-and-defeat-an-evil-organization-along-the-way route. Not that I want a HUGEOMFGGAMEOFTHEYEAR plot, but something a bit deeper than usual would be nice.

Also, Pokemon Special Black/White, plz.

Edit: I shall now be referring to the Grass starter as Otacon, the Fire starter as Fire Pig/Hamlet/Peony, and the Water Starter as Edokun. No on can change my mind on this, even when the official names have been announced.[/COLOR]

I actually kind of like the fire pig. Makes me think of walking BBQ. The otter just seems a little clown-ish to me, and the grass one will be giving me nightmares...
