I kinda like one liners so i will share a few.

Gin Blossoms: Alison Road.

very creative way of saying everything you said was useless. i do love metaphors.


Counting Crows: A long December.

Metaphors again, though this one just sad... so it fits Counting Crows perfectly.

not all great lyrics are super creative, this one is just a ridiculously powerful line. you can hear the pain in that question.

Often for me it is the method by which the words are sung to a particular melody, so if they'd simply been screamed I wouldn't have felt anything, but usually the haunting, lilting sound slowed down while the beat continues faster in the background presses my ear the right way.

This song might be considered a little odd.. but when lyrics like this matter is when your not really in the right frame of mind anyway.
