Inuyasha Fandom
A flutter of the wind..... A passing shadow.... A silver glinting blade sliced through the air, releasing from its target a spray of dark red. From the shadows stepped a woman, her crimson painted lips curved into a vicious smile. At her ankle hung a short sickle on a long chain, held within her hands. Blood dripped from it, spattering the cold concrete as the man she had attacked slumped to the floor, his eyes wide with the realization he was dead. She was quite beautiful, her features remarkable in that she appeared to be descended from asian nobility. She walked foreward, leaning over the man. Blood gurgled in his throat, prohibiting him from uttering a sound. He stared up at her, taking in her appearence. She wore simply a deep red thigh length kimono, with the silver tracings of plants and black flowers on her right sleeve. The hems and trims as well as her obi were all black in color, and her sleeves hung down to her knees. Her eyes bore a ferocious lust for violence, matching quite well with the red hue. Her black hair fluttered slightly in the breeze, making her seem to be more of a goddess of death than anything else. As she stepped closer, the man could hear the clack of high heeled leather boots on the pavement. She knelt down, brushing his hair out of his face. It was almost a romantic guesture, and she whispered into his ear. "This is what you get for whoring yourself to the bad guys." Standing, she walked off into the night, laughing. The man could only watch as the cruelest of the cruel simply walked away. He smiled, wishing he could only have seen far earlier what his master had seen in her before. There was love to be had, when the love was for a monster. --------------------------------------------------------------------- "Rolina! Rolina, where are you?" A woman walked across the pavement of a busy, crowded street, searching for her charge. "Mistress Dalmasca wishes to visit with you again!" Her charge was that of a young girl, only ten years old. Rolina had been an orphan for years, and had always been teased by the other children. She was alone in an alleyway, sobbing, "I'm sorry, Madam Clency." "Come come dear, it's only a bump on the head. Jose will be just fine." "I didn't mean to... He made me so angry." Rolina looked up at the headmistress of the orphanage. The woman only nodded. "Yes, I know. Come, The lady is waiting!" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Twelve years later... Rolina had grown up to be a beautilful woman, and had already died. To exist beyong time was now her fate. Able to neither live nor die, she had martyred herself for love. Long, black satin gloves adorned her hands and arms, and her gown was a black as the satin enveloping the night sky. No stars shown tonight on the cool sea air. The railing of the ship she leaned on was covered over with rust, mirroring the rest of the appearence of the dated luxury liner. It was older than she,and it was still nice to know that some things were still older than she was. This particular vessel had quite the history, and it ended with its disappearence in the Atlantic. The Esmerelda Dance, once a luxury liner turned battle cruiser in the last Galtean War. She had been reverted some time ago, and now she passed once more for the dated luxury liner she had been. Her wooden decks were fades, the wooden planks now warped with the effects of the raging sea. It didn't help matters much with the seventy years she had spent on the seas without manitenence, doomed to be a ghost ship for her remaining time afloat. But, she was a ghost ship with a purpose, and for now that Purpose was to get Rolina to what remained of what was once the United States. Chicago beckoned to her, it had shown in her visions. OOC: Okay, it's short to introduce the appearence and how vicious this character is. I expect longer posts from everyone else.
