SaiyanPrincessX
My fiancee and I have been trying to adopt a Pembroke Welsh Corgi for almost a year, and its been a lot harder than we thought. I'm not going to get into that though. Anyway, he told me he was going to be working on his buddy's car and wasn't going to be home for awhile.. He gets home at almost 1am with our neighbor Haley with our first Corgi! They drove out to Michigan to pick him up! It was a total surprise! So we now own a 9 month old Corgi who we have named Desmo(which is a Ducati engine, lol). I apologize for the lack of quality of the images, they were taken with his ipod. SaiyanPrincessX
We've noticed that he seems to be depressed. He hasn't been eating or drinking much, so we talked to a few people and called a vet and everyone says its normal. He misses his previous owner, and he's stressed, but he will snap out of it eventually. He did eat today though, and drank tons of water! It was so exciting, lol! Allamorph
It is normal. Pets go through this when they get new owners or shift to new environments. Especially when both happen at the same time. I guarantee you he'll be over it soon.
Korey
Corgis are the most adorable little dogs ever. I have a couple of friends who have them and they're very intelligent and super easy to train. I assume since this little guy is 9 months old he's already housebroken. Don't be surprised if he goes in your place though. One thing about Corgis (and most herding dogs) is that you have to give them a lot of exercise and open spaces. If there's a dog park nearby, I'd suggest taking him to one. Or at least on a daily walk. I know you're pretty active, so maybe taking him on a job will keep him from getting fat haha. SaiyanPrincessX
He's doing much better now, turns out he was getting sick. He's been sleeping a lot, not eating much, nose dripping, coughing. We took him to the vet monday. We thought originally he had Kennel Cough, but it was a Respiratory Infection. So they gave us some antibiotics and he's already doing better. My Fiancee has been studying a lot about Corgi's, and since he's at home right now he's been training him. He's very obedient and smart. ^_^

SaiyanPrincessX
I noticed that this thread is still on the first page so I figured I'd update on Desmo. I know in the past bringing back old topics was always frowned upon, however, since it was still on the first page.... :D Desmo is two years old now. We live in a bigger house than the small one we were renting when we bought him. He has a big backyard now to play in.
