ack!!! I hate my junkmail folder from hotmail! I mean, I have to go through it to find emails from my friends (i have it set to exclusive) an i always get sucked in by stuuuuuuupid nasty icky emails that look like they came from friends ie:

subject: hey Liam, whats up?

email: something or other that has a friends name in it @ blabla.com

man! this really annoys me! I can't even block them 'cos my hotmail block sender list is full!!:flaming: :flaming:

my point is, does anyone else have this annoying nasty problem?

no, i used to but thankfully it seems that i get very little junk mail now. Only about 3/4 pieces a week  :D

Only prob at the mo is..as well as the usual p0rn advertisments that everyone gets...I've been getting random e-mails about getting some graduate thingy and I'm like "ey go away. I've had 5 of the exact same e-mail in the last 2 weeks and I don't even know how u go my address and I wont be more likely to look at it the more u send it to me! :flaming: "

yea...well adding my 2 pence ne way...

I had to leave my current e-mail address ages ago because I had 15 junk mail everyday and several people on MSN that wouldn't leave me alone not matter how much a blocked them..they just made a new address or got a mate to harrass me..then someone sent me 500 of the same e-mail..so I just gave up and left it for 4/5 months. Told only my mates the new address. After the time was up I came back to this one and cleared everything out and now it's okay again and I still have room to block a few people if I need to.

Maybe you could do something like that?

I had that problem at hotmail, as well. Drove me crazy.

My solution? I got a new email, and didn't give it out to anyone but friends and family.

I use the old email for instances when an email address is required to sign up for something or activate an account somewhere, or whatnot. That way I don't end up with any commerical emails in my "good" inbox.

It is the same thing with Yahoo!. I get like 30 emails in my Bulk a day. But it is easy to just click a few times and than hit delete.

my problem isn't my friends sending me the junk emails, its the stoopid 'icky' email senders with emails that look like it would be a friends. .

We have outlook express also but its my mums email address, not mine, besides, hotmail has msn:D . .i'll just have to put up with it. .

I used to get loads o spam on my old yahoo adress... to the point that one day it wouldn't let me in cos there was so much mail I exceeded my limit. And of course, if I can't get in, I can't delete it, so I just gave up on that address.

AOL is the same way...I get so much junkmail. I did have my hotmail address as the one for people from the boards to contact me, but I couldn't access that at home so I changed it to my AOL address.

Now I get lots of junk mail...it sucks :cross:

No. I dpn't subscribe to any rubbish out there on the Internet.
Except in my hotmail folder I have 250+ messages from the Boards.
Never read them, so they just pile up...

I don't use it but go to www.msn.com . It is very cool actually. It is set up as my homepage and you can do many things on it. And as many said before, Better than AOL.

Side Note : Almost everyone has Outlook Express just don't use it.

It can be a serious pain in the tail to sign up for a new one, 'cause I'm running out of ideas for s/ns and p/ws. Given the fact that I work for the Otaku on one address and the other one is my, as Cera said, sign up address, I'm loaded with the stuff.
There was something going around where the user's email started with "_" and that's technically not a viable address. They were also all with the same attachement--it was a--get this--exe.txt. Obviously a virus of sorts. They wouldn't stop emailing no matter how many times I blocked them, so I finally took it all to Hotmail itself and screamed a few times. Well, not really...just politely asked them to get this crappola to stop. Which it finally has.
Luckily, Hotmail now has this new feature where if you block someone, you can choose to block the "@whatever.com" part. (No good for stuff like @aol.com or @hotmail.com, though...)
