Matt.D
Always a hit on every board. Come here and discuss all of those horribly gory and devistating injurys. If you have any hospital pics handy, the more colorful this thread will be. ;) Anyway, which one from me would you want to hear first: "The bike, ear and glass bottle." Or, "The overly agressive Defenseman who breaks his arm" ? Both interesting.
amiboshi
Either one would be, erm, interesting..... Fortunately, I really haven't had any really serious injuries. The worst I've had, in my opinion, is when I sliced my ankle. My brother had been playing on this scrawny tree, and the limbs snapped, so my dad let me help him saw down the stubs. It was one of those rigid, hand saws. After we cut them, I was still holding the saw, and I reached down just for the saw to swivel in my hand and slice my ankle open. Cuts are the worst injuries I've had, actually. Once I opened my dad's tool kit he got for christmas, and took out the razor blade (the extendable blade kind). I didn't know which way it opened, and held it the wrong way. I pushed the knob the extend the blade, and it slices through the middle of my hand. ^^;; I know, smart. By the way, shouldn't this be in stories?
Sere Tuscumbia
Um . . . there was the time that I sliced the tips of my fingers off. Do you wanna hear that one or the time that I cracked my chin open? Or do you wanna hear both? (I still have scars from both too) ~!*Sere*!~
Lotus
When I was still in my country, there's this little boy who hit my head with something. I forgot what is it. After that, I have horrible head-ache, and I still have head-ache now.
PiroMunkie
Why do you even ask which we want to hear? Just tell! :D I was at this one site once, it was pretty gisfusting. It had videos of people being tortured, killed, etc. Like there was this one one, where this guy was getting killed. And this one person put a knife through a persons neck from the side in the middle, and then started cutting/sawwing half the neck open. It was really gross..

NorykoAngelcry
Let's see. . the worst that has ever happened to me? . . When I was VERY young, I used to fall off of stuff ALL the time, falling on my head, giving myself mild concussions. My mom was always worried, but couldn't really do anything about it =P One time, I was sitting on the back of a stool (the handle part), and was minding my own business, watching my mother make cookie dough. Well, all of a sudden, I fall off backwards, hit the corner molding of our doorway. Well, that split open my head. I had to go to the doctors, got 8 stitches I think =P My next incident came when we had moved down to Tennessee. We used to have to wash our kitchen floor like once a month =/ Anyways, the floor would get so slick, that we would 'slip-and-slide' across the kitchen floor. It was a total blast. Well, I came slipping and sliding across the floor, and BAM, slammed my head into one of the table's legs. Knocked myself out =P I woke up in the emergency room (I think. . *cough*) and found I had given myself a concussion ^_^ --Did I mention that I used to fall off stuff and hit my head A LOT?-- Next big thing to happen to me was one day playing street hockey. I was chasing down the hockey ball (yes, NOT a puck. . LOL - pucks sucked on our street), and . . well. . the streets aren't really in the best of skating condition =P Well, I came after the ball and slipped, falling on the street, using my hands to support my fall. Well, I get up, in somewhat of pain, and look at my hands. Scuffed up bad from skidding (I was going fast ^_^), and then I noticed a bit of red. . . Apparently, a piece of glass was bored of sitting on the hot street, and found that the inside of my hand was much more comfortable (cheery little fellow, no?). Well, I run/skate home, screaming to my mom =P She came in the kitchen, and saw what happened. My hand was bleeding pretty bad, so she knew the glass had to come out. What does she do? Well, being the ex-nurse that she was, she decides to try and fish it out with some tweezers and a needle. . *smacks forehead* That was some of the worst pain I had ever been in =P I go to the doctors and they gave me some morphine in my arm, near the hand. It numbed it, but they kept me away. I could feel the doctor probing through my hand, and needless to say, it was rather a fresh feeling. Anyways, he pulled out a piece of glass (No Joke) the width of a dime. >_< I still have a scar from it, even though it happened over 7 years ago. . . Ouch! Oh well, other then that, the worst that has happened was gashing my fingers open on the side of a wooden pallet at my old job. I didn't have any bandages at work, so I just wrapped it in packing tape. It actually did a pretty good job =P Earlier this month, I wrecked my car (some of you already know this) Anyways, the way I hit (sideways), sent my head bobbing left - to - right, causing some pretty hurtful pain in my neck. It was a pain to even move around, but since I didn't have any insurance, I couldn't go to the hospital to get it checked out, so I just had to suffer through it. . P.S. - My airbag DID deploy. . though. . it didn't do one bit of good, seeing as how I went side to side instead of forward . . *mumbles about not even being able to wreck a car right*. . LOL Oh well, nothing really too bad ^_^ and I tried to add some zip to it for your entertainment value ^_^

Guest BOBB
Anyway. When I was 7 or 8, we used to have this little, padded, fold-out, workout bench thing... Well, me and my ol' bestfriend were outside playing with my [old] new remote control car. Well, it just happens to get stuck under the bench. So, idiotically, I stick my hand in between the bench while it was folded. Then, for some stupid reason, my "Best" friend pulls it open while my fingers are still in between. It sliced my ring finer wide open! 7 stitches... Liquidus_Snake
Worst Injury? Well, oddly i havent been hurt once in my entire 15 year life...odd huh? But my friend, Jeff, was doina pullup in the lockeroom on one of th bars on the celing theyre shaped like _I_I_ well, his ring got caught and when he let go, it caught on his finger, ripping his skin off completely to the bone. I had found out when there was blood on the door and when i had asked him a few days later. I might be able to get a picture from him of what ti looked like when the ring was forced into his bone and when his skin was freshly ripped off. I might be more likely to get the one where his skin's implanted back onto his finger, but a giant scar from partway down his knuckle on his first finger, all the way down. Did you know that your fingernail is an extention of your bone? I'll see what picture's he'll give me to scan in...
Baby Kiwi
Well, the most serious injury I've had was internal bleeding due to a car accident I was in when I was about 6 years old. A deer ran out in front of my family's car and my dad swerved to miss the deer and then 1/2 of the car hit a barn and the other 1/2 hit a tree. I was on the side that hit the tree. The emergency people had to use the jaws of life to get my family and myself out of the totaled vehicle. I dont remember it much, but I do remember being scared. :( Oh, and another time I had a semi-serious injury was at cheerleading tryouts...(BabyGirl you may recall the incident quite well, seeing as how you witnessed the whole embarrassing ordeal) I happened to be going into the room where we were trying out. And there were cakepans on the floor (A girl from the cheerleading team had just passed away and the Varsity team made cakes for her funeral. My coach had just passed them out that day) Anyways, I was running into the room and tripped on one of the cakepans and sprained my ankle to the point where my doctor suggested that I have it X-rayed. Embarrassing, but true! :p ;)

Lia
well being the moron i am i've been into so many damn accidents....most pain? well i was on a VACATION *hint* VACATION meaning....nice jolly few weeks of fun....it was in South Africa in a wild game reserve....i was only about 9 or sumthin and i was running around chasing a monkey around the huts we were staying in (yes huts as in grass huts... O.o; ) miles and MILES away from any sign of human/technologized life forms (whatta vacation...) and being a youngling i used to sway my hands up alot being a moronic idiot...and i as chasing a monkey...well my hands were skimming the tops of some trees and stuff when all of a sudden...STRIKE! and uh....blood...as i was skimming the trees/brush with my hands, i hit an African thorn...not just any old thorn it was 3.5 inches long and about 2 millimeters in diameter...now i ain't talking about any normal thorn this thing was like HUGE! anywho....yep guess what happened next....went STRAIGHT through my hand between my thumb and my pointer finger....yowch *keep in mind i am miles and MILES away from civilization..meaning doctors too... so...........all they could do was yank it out and tie a cloth around it O.o;; and thats my story....eheh....nice ending to a vacation wouldn't you say? amiboshi
Okay, I remember another rather painful incident now, although it's nothing compared to all your stories. When I was like 4, I was at my grandmother house, and my mom told me and my older cousin to fold up the bed. (It was the kind that's a couch, and then you pull it into a bed...it's got lots of springs and stuff...) Anyways, I was little, so being the stupid child I was, I was "helping", although my cousin didn't know I was, really. She folded up the bed, and my finger was in it, and it folded my finger at the nail and the skin by it. It's still dented all the way through the nail, and the skin's folded, too. Stipud grandmother didn't think I need stitches for it. :angry2: Now I have t get plastic surgery to fix it. Like that's really gonna happen......>.<

Matt.D
Whoa, this really grew over night. I guess it's time for me to tell you the story of the Bike, ear and glass bottle: One fine, sunny day, a happy 7 year old was driving his bike around. Lttle did he know that another bike, drivin by what seemed to be a 19 year old, came ripping down the street. My tire was just a bit off the sidewalk and onto the road. The bike came ripping past me, and it's back wheel hit my front tire. Me, being something like 75-80 pounds, the impact sent me flying, onto a glass bottle, which broke as i hit it. I don't remember much more, until i woke up in my bed, feeling sick. But I vividly remember looking in the mirror at my ear, totaly black from dried blood. Today, I have a quite the scar, and my right ear rings continuously. I've learned to live with it, and it only bothers me when i'm completely quiet and concentrating on hearing it. For some, it might not seem serious, but it was, I almost died from excessive blood loss.
Justin
I injured my back in the summer between 6th and 7th grade. We were water rafting in North Carolina and I fell out and hit a rock the wrong way. I forget exactly what happened but it couldn't have been too bad. Seeing as how I'm able to walk and be an active athlete. It sure did hurt, though. -Justin
Treble
Well when I was young probaly 6 or 7 years old,I stood on a big toy car and slide it around my house. As I stood on the car I somehow slipped off and fell backward as my backside head slided against a nail that was on a wall. Of course there was alot of blood coming out of head, but luckily I survived. After the accident I got a bald spot behind my head that looks like an arrow pointing down.
