I believe the NWO originally started in WCW, I'm pretty sure of that. I didn't know that they were "returning" cause I don't really watch wrestling anymore. But I always like the NWO, except for Hogan. That guy is far too old to be wrestling anymore. I'm going to laugh if he dies of a heart attack or something in the middle of a match. But Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were always my two favorite wrestlers. Even back when they were Deisel (Kevin Nash) and Razor Ramone (Scott Hall). Who's all in the NWO nowadays? Is Syxx (I believe that's how you spell it, the guy was once the 1-2-3 Kid) still in there? He was a neat wrestler too.

Hogan is a LEGEND!!!! He's never too old to be wrestling!!! Hogan don't take no crap from nobody....... just look what he did to the amazing "get beat up throughout the match but then make a miraculous recovery and win" man Rock. He whooped his ***, and now he has to do comminity service just because he fought back. Rock shouldn't have been such a *****. NOtice Stone Cold didn't take any crap. He got in there and whooped ***, but the Rock was a different story, he did so well that he nearly got crippled.

Bringing in the nWo was a very controversial political maneuver. Hall, Hogan and Nash were both notorious for pulling strings in the back in order to benefit themselves. Right now, guys like Edge and RVD are probably biting their nails, knowing that they won't be getting a main event push anytime soon with the arrival of the nWo.

I've heard that Scott Hall is already in hot water for approaching other wrestlers and telling them that he's going to kick out of their finishing moves.

However, the ratings for SmackDown proved that the nWo are a success. Heck, it almost scored as high as RAW.

Anyway, I hope that they bring in Shawn Micheals, Xpac and Scott Steiner but don't let in a bunch of bums like they did in WCW.

And despite what you may think of Hogan, the guy is in phenominal shape for his age and is still pretty entertaining. I'm glad that he's able to end his career in the WWF.

That's who I was talking about when I was talking about Syxx and the 1-2-3 Kid. I didn't think Syxx was right, and my brother wasn't home to ask what his current name was.. Oi, what a revelation :p

Well since I am a wrestling fan, and I did grow up watching Hulk Hogan, Diesel(Kevin Nash) and Razor Ramon(Scott Hall) I am really glad to see them back even if the question of Hogan being too old comes up.

I think this wrestlmania will be probably the best in years!!!

Telling me Wrestling is fake is like telling me The Simpsons are cartoon characters...

Anyway, when my friend first told me that the NWO was going to WWF, I was a bit worried cause I know what they are capable of. I was a big fan of the NWO war (White/Black vs. Wolfpack). It kept me at the edge of my seat. Espicially when WCW wrestlers were caught in the middle, like Goldberg. But anyway, NWO is gonna be a GREAT addition to the WWF, although it's nothing but cheating. That's a real burn.:flaming:

Well, lemme just say: NWO aren't gonna bring nothing but hell to the WWF.

Hey!!! It wasn't his fault...they jumped him. First of all, Hulk Hogan was the man back in the day. Now, he is just a bully. I hate Hogan now!!! Ric Flair rules!!!

Tee hee...I'm amazed at how seriously some people take wrestling!

Especially since it's 100% fake. lol...I just can't watch a match without thinking "this match already has a predetermined outcome".

And they're such sissys...ugh. All preened etc lol...

I think it's really funny...and to this day, I still wonder why people get so into it. Oh well, I guess it's the same as Aussie rules football (which people go nuts over...yet it's such a pointless thing to go nuts over that the insanity boggles the mind).:tasty: :drunk:

Would love to see all of you who think its 100% fake to get into a ring and have a match with one of them like RVD. Then tell me how fake it is. :)

And as far as the NWO is concerned...I liked them better when they invaded the WCW and when they were a force to be reckoned with.

I feel that bringing back the NWO is the equivilant of bringing back the Four Horsmen... It might work for a while, but it'll get boring quickly.

Nash hardly does any work in the ring...
Hey, don't get me wrong, Nash is a genious. Not many people can take 30 seconds to perform a punch and use it over and over again as a move.
Hall is an alchoholic (last I heard) and he ticks the brass off way too much.

Hogan is a great mic worker. He's the only member of the NWO I like having back in the WWF. Although he can't wrestle all that well...
My grandmother can drop a leg better than Hogan.
I see that this is a way to bring the WWF out of the ratings doghouse, but in the long run, it could very well put the company out of buisness. Remember WCW? They used the NWO WAY too long, and relied on older wrestlers. Look where they ended up.

Okay James, I hate to be doing this, since everything I say will probably be chewed up and spit out... ^_^''

Wrestling is not 100% fake. Sure, the outcome is predetermined, but the wrestling is usually spontaneous.

"Sissys"? Bahm most of the time they wrestle with injuries that would keep people in others sports out for a season. Take Mick Foley, for example. This guy wrestled with an injury that forced Bill Goldberg to retire from football.

Have you ever seen his infamous "Hell in a Cell"? There is no way a sissy could have done that... And the Undertaker wrestled that with a broken foot.

Triple H tore something in his leg (quadricep?) and wreslted for 5-10 minutes in unbearable pain.

And I don't think over-preened sissys would take a stink-face form Rikishi... :P

I for one enjoy haveing the nWo back, as long as it doesn't go into the White versus Red crap that made me want to watch WWF over WCW. As for the fake comment, the ring and the matches are the only things that are fake, the falls are real, the blood is real (even though most of the time they make themselves bleed), the injuries are real (well most of them anyway). All i have to say is, spend a day in the ring, learn some moves and learn how fake wrestling is.

The biggest problem with the Internet is that sarcasm doesn't come across well.

Nerdsy, I frankly couldn't care less. lol

I don't watch wrestling, I only know that the outcome is predetermined and that the stories are obviously fake.

Now, this isn't intended to bash wrestling. I'm just giving reasons as to why I don't enjoy it.

However, I can understand that there is quite a lot of athletic skill involved.

In short: I'm kidding. Your post only proved my point that people take sport waayyy too seriously. lol ;) :)

Fake, fake fake...that's always the argument against wrestling. If you look at the industry in such a narrow way, then it's bound to appear simple. Look at General Hospital. Is it fake? You bet. How seriously do people take it? Very much so. I'll bet that there's many people that won't miss a freakin' episode or whatever you call one of the shows.

If you were a true fan and saw the blood that these guys spill and the effort that they put into their performance you would see it as how I do. When Triple H tore his quad and finished his match, it was easy to see that wrestling is a way of life for that man. Do you call that a sissy?! Do you?!! He's not a sissy!! :) Seriously though, the pain he felt was real and the love he had for the business was apparent.

And for all of those who use the"it's fixed" thing, let me make something clear. Bookers don't just flip a coin and decide who wins. Pushes and marketing are determined by work ethic and crowd response. Before anyone makes judgements, it'd be best to look at the industry from the deeper standpoint and see past all of the "circus-like antics" hype.

In short, um, I don't take wrestling seriously.

I have no illusions about wrestling. I realize that essentially, it's a combination of acting and athletic ability.

But for the most part, I guess I don't want to watch something (in this context) when I know that everything they're saying is scripted...and that the ending is predetermined.

I don't care how they determine/choreograph the match...it's just the fact that it isn't real/true draws me away from it and makes me dislike it.

But as with movies or videogames...there are those who will enjoy it. :)

Heh, how did I know you were going to make my arguement completely useless? lol

Yes, it was quite obvious (to me, at least) you were joking in a way... And I don't really take the actual wrestling too seriously, but I do take the wrestlers sacrifices seriously... Not too many people will go out there and beat the holy monkeys out of each other, compile countless injuries, and sacrifice their family life just for the entertainment of others...

Okay, maybe I do take it too seriously. :wigout:
