Gaming FF:VI Help!!!!!!

i am stuck on atmaweapon on the floating island i can not seem to beat him and it is getting on my nerves. if you have any tips on beating him please share.

for SNES or PSX?

i'll go for the psx, it's more likely...

Atma Weapon (on the Floating Continent) can be defeated a LOT more easily if you obtained Osmose and Rasp from Magicite Shiva. When you wear down his magic points to zero, he's done for (because remember he said he was pure energy)?

And you [size=20]MUST[/size] have locke on your party

you can steal a second atma weapon from him!

[color=indigo]Okay, I tried this [i]LOTS[/i] of times, and I never got another Atma Weapon... I'd either get an Elixer, or a Ribbon. Never an Atma Weapon... Is there some trick to it???

When I fought it, I just used my most powerful spells and whatnot on it, and it died pretty quickly... My highest level characters were level 30, Sabin and Locke. Then Terra and Shadow were just below that.

By the way, I have the SNES version.[/color]

[COLOR=indigo]I haven't played the snes version in a while, i can't remember if you can steal it from him. From what i remember you can, and i'm 00% positive you DO get it from him in the PSX version. [/COLOR]

you need to equip the theif gloves to turn steal into capture, wot is atmaweapon witch you steal form him. i have beaten him now but i didnt steal mp i just used carbunkle to cast reflect

[color=indigo]Yes, I had the Theif Glove equiped, and I was using Capture. It still didn't work...
My brother (who's beaten it) dropped a hint that you fight the Atma Weapon again... Is this true, and if so, do you maybe steal another one from it then?

My game got erased awhile ago, though :(... I hope that Square remakes it for the GBA.[/color]
