Guest BulmaVegeta1
Wouldn't it be cool if blitzball really was a real sport? I know it's proably never gonna happen, but I can still dream. It would be so great if it was real. I'd love to play. Really, it's just a mix of football(soccer) and football(american). The only thing different is that it's underwater. The only problem is breathing!!! (figures) It would also be cool if all the FF characters were real (espically Tidus) but that's just a dream. It's never going to happen, and I guess dreaming is the only thing to keep me happy.:bawl:  :cross:

mystfalcon25
a big ball of water, you say? if the characters from FFX really existed, you could have Lulu and whoever else cast a bunch of watergas in an anti-gravity room... Im sure that such a room exists somewhere...
Guest BulmaVegeta1
Yeah, the sphere pool would be a problem.....I think the shield they use helps and the water shoots out frome some hoses or something...Maybe the players use some secret device that we can't see to help them breathe...I dunno, but who knows, maybe blitzball really could come true...Me, the star blitzer of the, oh, well, at least Tidus' saying is better than mine!:p

mystfalcon25
Hm... I wouldnt be surprised at all if they already had their own blitzball arena thing going... They have all this fancy technology and everything there comes out about a year or two before it comes out here... And the anime... The people in Japan are so skilled... I'm jealous :D
Zidargh
HEY! What about those devices that filter out water into Oxygen that film stars use, that would be far brilliant. But as time goes on, maybe our lungs'll evolve into filtering water into Oxygen aswell... You can always dream, and it will come true if you pursue it, ok? Zachary
they can make a type of water where you can breath for a long time. Making blitz a sport? Probaly not. It would be too confusing, and hard

Cuz the gameplay wouldnt be that hard, you just wouldnt be able to use stuff like venom shot or drain tackle... The breaking and shooting wouldnt be that hard... Guest ProudClod
Blitz ball would be really cool, and it would be by far the number one on my sporting list, well, the only one! Id say that the only thing stopping us from doing it is the breathing under water thingy, and the brute attacks like punching and kicking. With technology these days its obvious that scientists will come across a water sphere. Another thing, wont it be hard to move and throw at such speeds while underwater? Hmmmmm.... G/S/B Master
Or make a simiulater. It almost always works. For the moving thing.Well i think with no water and a strong cable holding you up.Then use all of your swimming technices(sp). And voila.A blitzball. Also when somebody hits you, then you're stuck for 5 slow seconds. Guest Voodookanaka
Ok your gonna think im really sad, but i got this game on monday (what day is it today? ive lost track..i think it says on otakuboards somewhere..im typing my thoughts ill stop now) so um...yeh..right u basically have a big glass ball thats filled with water, players enter in the same way you would in say a submarine, there are a number of ways about the breathing (youll have to last approx 5 minutes... can do 2 which im very impressed with, u know what i think i might be insane, i havent left my house all week and i dont think i can speak anymore..im doing it again ) yeh u can either - a.) have some kind of oxygen pill taking it half way trough. b.) leave breathing gaps around the outside of the ball /bowl for players to come up to c.) small breathing utilities (u only have to last 5 mins they could be really tiny, like pocket sized) this is the sensible option. d.) have gills surgically implanted e.) talk to that bad guy from little mermaid f.) ive run out of ideas g.) i just wanted to be able to get to g.......... conpiracymonki
I found this at FFOnline.com: 'Final Fantasy X Side Stories 05.28.02 Dh For months now, many rumored the possibility of a Final Fantasy X sequel, based on the success of the original title's sales. No concrete information and only fluid details of a continuation, featured in a trailer titled "Another Story" available from the International version, have been the foundation of such speculation. We even asked James Arnold Taylor in an interview back in February regarding a possible sequel, to which he had absolutely no knowledge any plans of production. However, according to a Japanese news site, Square has announced that two side stories are to be developed in a planned saga based on the characters and storyline of Spira after the ending of Final Fantasy X. The trailer on the International disc merely picks up where the cast is left off after defeating Sin, featuring Yuna, Rikku, Lulu, and Wakka trying to figure out what direction to take Spira in the rebuilding process of their society. The trailer ends showing Tidus trapped in a sphere that Rikku later discovers. Both titles are currently and unofficially dubbed "Yuna" and "Rikku", starring the two characters as the primary roles in each side story. Whether their characters independently drive the story, new characters will be revealed, or new abilities and Aeons will exist remain to be seen. At the moment, only the two character names attached to the "side stories" are known to be on the drawing board for Square. Currently there is no mention of any overseas port, nor a solid release date for these titles in Japan, although they are expected late this year' Cool, eh?

Corey
It's like a Sin against nature to call any FF game "bad". All the FF games have their stong points and weak points. FF 2or4 had Cecil and some cool new concepts. FF 5 had the really awesome class system. FF 7 was all around good. FF 8 had hella cool graphics. FF 9 brought back the crystal and had Kuja(nuf said). FF 10 well...I haven't played it yet but I hear it's pretty cool.
James
FFIX was probably the single worst FF game ever created (simply due to lack of plot...the plot was so bad, that it screwed up the entire game). FFVIII would come in a close second for that title. The comments about FFX are strange to me, because most people I've talked to believe that it's the best FF game ever produced. Even IGN and other major publications gave it very high scores. Perhaps it's the fact that it's fairly different...with a lack of overworld map and such.

If it weren't for the horrible, horrible plot in FFIX, it would've been an awesome game... From FFVI onwards I'd been waiting for a Final Fantasy that was more fantasy oriented. Not to say that FFVI, VII, and VIII were bad games, just that they were creeping further away from the Medievil style Fantasy shown in the original games. FFIX had that feel, but just lacked everything else that makes a game good, heh.
FFVIII would come in a close second for that title.
I don't see why so many people don't like FFVIII, really. Bad? Terrible? Hardly. I think it was unique. As much as I'm a fan of the older games, I think it was a good game. Sure, maybe it was only a mediocre 'Final Fantasy', but it was still a great game. I think alot of people didn't understand the junction system... Which I think was quite well done. Total customisation of Characters and spells? Very nice.
The comments about FFX are strange to me, because most people I've talked to believe that it's the best FF game ever produced. FFX... Ugh. And to think they're making 'side stories' for it sickens me. FFVII was undoubtably the single greatest Final Fantasy of all time! They should make a sequel to that, if anything. Heck, a PS2 remake of FFV or FFI would have owned...
Perhaps it's the fact that it's fairly different...with a lack of overworld map and such.
Perhaps it's a bunch of reviewers drooling over Lulu and Yuna. :P As much as I dislike the game, I gotta admit, those two were fine... ^_^
Desbreko
My main objection to FFVIII is how you have to Draw magic out of enemies... The Junction system is fine, from what I've seen, but the reason I never really played FFVIII is because I watched my brother play it and he'd have to sit around Drawing magic out for sooooo long in order to get a decent amount of spells. Other than that, it looks like a pretty good game to me, but I just don't want to have to sit around for a long time building up a stockpile of spells. That, and I didn't like how magic is pretty much just like items, except that you can't buy spells. I like the magic point system, it works really well.
Flash
That's a good point Desbreko. MP was the best, an improvement over the Draw system and even FFI's system, where you had a limited number of times you could use a spell of each level, before you had to rest...
