James
FFVIII's battle system was horrible. It was awkward, uninspired, boring and useless. It also drew so much challenge from the game. FFIX's battle system was much better...better even than FFVII's system. However, once again, the useless plot and often poor characters really sucked the enjoyment from that game...
Desbreko
Yeah, FFIX's magic system is actually my favorite out of any of the FF games I've played. (haven't played FFV or FFX, though, which I've heard are good). Second to FFIX's, I like the Magicite magic system in FFVI.
Guest Voodookanaka
i dont know how u can possibly bad mouth FFX, i mean although I can think of many things that could have made it better, it is without a doubt the best ff ive played to date (out of 6,7,8,9 and 10) I have to agree about IXs battle system im praying thats the one they'll use on XI
Break
FFXI will really please everyone. One- Because of the amazing FFX-style graphics it will use. Two- 'Cause it's online. :) Three- Because it uses the Job Class that everyone thought was a classic that should've been in all FF's. Four- It just has that classic fantasy feel that Final Fantasy should be about. As for FFIX, I think it's the second best out of FFVII, FFVIII and FFIX. Simply because of the Medival feel of fantasy, but the plot I think is ok. I don't know why everyone has a problem with it.. FFVIII I think is the worst, I don't see how it's fantasy, it's the most realistic one. The one that is closer to modern day, not fantasy, only the plot and characters bring it closer to that fantasy element that it desperately needed. Guest ProudClod
Originally posted by AJ2K1 4 Life Currently there is no mention of any overseas port, nor a solid release date for these titles in Japan, although they are expected late this year' Cool, eh?
Well I see no reason to think that they're lying. But I've got a bad feeling about that release date for us UKers, think about it, ff11 is already out in japan and, we have just gotten 10, and there's the ff12 project starting (or started?), where there will be more concentration on that by square. They cant just put everything on hold, especially with the upcoming release of squares/disneys new rpg kingdom hearts. So it will probably be a while before we see this sequel....bah! Flash
Well, I guess this just goes to show that everyone has different tastes... I'm one of the few.. The select few that actually likes FFVIII, heh... Anyway, this is a 'Blitzball being real' topic, and as wel thought this discussion is, I think we should all save it for another topic... ^_^;;
Hachi
I agree, unless you had a big ball of glass filled with water a jet propelled ball and 5 minutes worth of oxygen it's not possible. The ball would float to the top and so would you and unless you were a strong swimmer the game would be very very slow. :whoops:

FFVIII was not my fovorite FF game but it was up there. Keep in mind I have only played a few of the series, (I will list them at the bottom of the page)but in my opinion FFX is the worst FF game I have ever played and I can't believe they are making spin-off's (or whatever). Well here is the list. 1. FFIII 2. FFVII 3. FFVIII 4. FFX :drunk:

Dan L
Originally posted by BulmaVegeta1 Wouldn't it be cool if blitzball really was a real sport? I know it's proably never gonna happen, but I can still dream. It would be so great if it was real. I'd love to play. Really, it's just a mix of football(soccer) and football(american). The only thing different is that it's underwater. The only problem is breathing!!! (figures) It would also be cool if all the FF characters were real (espically Tidus) but that's just a dream. It's never going to happen, and I guess dreaming is the only thing to keep me happy.:bawl:  :cross:
Sorry to say this, but... speaking realisticaly, it'd be hard to play blitzball as a real sport, due to the fact that water is so much denser than air, so the bal would slow down incredibly quickly. Also, for the bal to move in the same way as in the game, it'd have to be a pretty exact density, because if it was too heavy or light, it'd float or sink when thrown. One more thing.. have you ever thrown something underwater (or tried).. it is very difficult....
