hello everyone!
a few of you who don't watch all too much DBZ/GT like me about a month ago are prolly wondering where the heck I got Gogeta-sama but it was in movie 12 when Gokou and Vegeta merged wrong and turned into a fat guy who farted as a main attack and that was his name. That scene was hillarious

anyway, i don't know a whole lot about the last few episodes of Z nor the GT series which is taking forever to get here but my friend in a class at college explained practically the entire DBZ/GT world to me and i got most of it down. i dont want to start any fights in here so i will try extra hard not to piss anyone off especially any of the webmasters. i know how this feels cause i am a webmaster for my own unique site and members can get pretty stupid and annoying sometimes.

i read the rules for the board and i will try my best to fallow each and every one of them but i do have to comment on one of the notes about the upcoming dragonball series. the guy who told me everything about DB said that there is a new one coming out soon in japan because for the very fact that dragonball is dead over there and they want to bring it back for a new generation, kinda like here but more mainstream. if he were the only one who told me this then i would have some doubts but my local anime shop also informed me of the new series as well and i have to believe her cause if its one thing she knows is anime especially when you live, breath, and work anime, you should know a thing or two hopefully. just wanted to say that cause it aint all that impossible.

one last thing, how can you become one of those episode people? if you guys need some help, i am pretty much free. i could like do the movies or the series cause you guys aint all that far seeing how they are on 200 episodes of Z and all. well im going to stop talking now....see you guys on the boards!

The rumor spread online a while back that a new series, DBAF or DBVertigo were being made. This picture of SS-J 5 Gokou was spread around "signed" by Toriyama. The signature was later prooven fake. It has also been prooven that the "new series" is nothing but a little fan manga draw in Japan. I don't know who drew it or will draw it and I don't really care. They very well make a new series.... Bird Studios or Toei Animation, but Toriyama isn't planning on it. In fact I believe Toriyama is doing alot of video games now... along with returning to work on Dr. Slump.

You have reason to believe the person at the anime store, but I'm willing to bet she heard about this from the internet, and thus likely has no good source of info. I mean, 90% of the internet is false, why believe this? I suggest asking her where she got her information. Alot of people say they have a "friend in Japan" or a "Source in Japan"... how can these people in Japan know, yet Funimation doesn't know? Or even other mainstream animation companies? Plus not to mention, they don't have any friend in Japan... I could say Osama Bin Laden is my friend... does that mean he is? I didn't think so... you can't believe anything on the net unless it's from a prooven reliable source... and an anime website, fan based, is NOT a reliable website.

As for the episode thing you were talking about... I'm not sure I understand what you are asking.

I don't think he's a kid... he seems fairly intelligent from the way he was writing. And that never ask for a position thing only applys for mods/positions on OB

Anyway, you shouldn't ask on the boards for a position on TheOtaku.com. I suggest e-mailing Adam and giving him some of your work or whatever. He's probably in need of people to work there.

It was a figure of speech.....:shifty:

And yes, emailing Adam is most likely the best way to get his attention, since he.....rarely......is on the boards...O_________o

i see. i was just wondering though cause they are kinda behind and i can type pretty fast. faster then most people can finish the sentence, i am already done. i amd the sole creator of an action by e-mail RPG that has been around for 2 years, longer then any around and i am good at writing a lot of description since the short summaries on the otaku are lacking. but i guess i can e-mail them. i am hardly on the boards for my site as well.

Guest Saiyangohan2002
this is what i had hoped for! dragonball, dead in Japan. BUT resurrected for a new generation, it is possible (and please dont attack me for this) because look how many toons on CN are from times past? anyway i dont think it would be called AF or Vertigo, how did those names come about anyway? i think that if they EVER consider it, Akira Toryama must be a part of it to succeed

anyway its most unlikely. what a shame :bawl:

I aslo doubt that they will create a new series of Dragon Ball, yet i could be wrong. People probably don't even care about Dragon Ball in Japan. I eman, if they do create a new seires some people won't remember it or care to much abouyt it. DRagon Ball is like years old in Japan. Anyways, i probably am wrong! WEll, i'm gonna go now, bye :)

But then consider this

Dragonballs was a Smash Hit so DBZ came out
That was even more Popular and really rocked so
DBGT was created(which kinda dissapoints in story)

Now (is it 6) years after DragonballS/Z/GT ended if it still draws alot of attention in Japan(which i dont know) theyre maybe be a continuum or atleast another movie

DragonBall Z plays once or twice a week in Japan. Either Saturday or Sunday or both... in the morning at 9:00 am if I'm correct.

You must realize, It's popular here, doesn't mean it's popular there. It's kind of like the Brady Bunch.... it was really popular in it's day, but now that it's over not many people care about it and re-runs are played.

I forsee the only reason a new movie or series being made is to appeal to the American audience... and European and Canadian, but more so American. But thats the only way I see it happening. But they not need to do that now... simply because Americans haven't even seen all of Z yet, none of GT and not even half of the Original... there's no need to throw some more junk in the mix... it'll just confuse the poor little kiddies even more.

I have just returned from Japan and the rumors are flying high in video stores and arcades that there is going to be a new Dragonball series but the people I talked to had no idea what the name would be and it is fairly popular there especially the cards(many of the kids and some adults have them and they even have tourneys there in the parks)

hmm perhaps you could be so kind as to speak some Japanese for me, so I can be sure you were able to communicate with them.

dear pessimists
i know the chance are currently very scarce
and all our speculation is based..well.. on speculation

yet i think that some arguments you bring dont outrule the possibility

ofcourse does a manga/anime that is 15 to 6 years old not appeal that many viewers in a country like japan where new mangas/anime get thrown on the market

but if it was originally really popular and did in fact last such a long time then maybe we will one day see a continuum be it as a manga/anime series or only on or a couple movies

anyways, it almost seems as if our lives depended on dragonballs
but i understand your dissapointment, its always sad when great things end
even though it ill be like 2004 when the us dubbed eps of gt end

Dude, i HOPE you're not lieing. Why would you lie in the first place. Like me and TN said, Dragon Ball is old news in Japan, they only play it Saturday and Sunda and plus Mr.Toriyamu didn't even make Dragon Ball GT why would he make the "new" series:worried: ? Anyways, i'm out, peace:devil:

How much does this cost= Combien coute c'est ces?
