Let me know what you think Dragonball Omega Prolouge: This story takes place after the Buu Saga has ended, but does not go into Dragonball GT. Goku and Ubuu have taken a break from training and Goku is enjoying life with his family again. Goku's mission now is to work with Goten until he reaches SSJ2. Vegeta has taken time off from the gravity machine on Earth and is now training in outer space. He feels that in the seclusion of space, he will be able to train in peace without interruptions. Episode 1: Beginnings "Mom, where's dad goin'?" asked Trunks. "Oh, Vegeta decided to train in outer space for a few months," explained Bulma. "Apparently, he won't be experiencing any 'Damn Interruptions!' in the recesses of space. If you ask me, I think he needs to go away for a while. Ever since he and Goku fused into Vegetto, he hasn't been the same. He seems to be more irritable than ever. If you ask me, I needed a break from him more than he needed one from me." "Well, he at least could've said goodbye,? said Trunks, "Do you know how long he'll be gone?" "No, but I'll be able to monitor the ship," said Bulma. "Weather he likes it of not, when we're ready for him to come back, I can override the ship's systems and bring him home manually." "Yikes, if it comes to that, I think I'll be at Goten's on that day," joked Trunks. ---------- Goku eyed his opponent. He hadn't felt this rush of adrenaline since he trained Gohan all those years ago. To him, there was nothing quite like helping a son reach his full potential. He still remembered spending a year with Gohan in the Chamber of Space and Time. When his son unlocked his inner power that destroyed Cell, Goku never forgot how proud he was of Gohan. Now, Goku was focused on another son. "Goten, I hope you're ready," says Goku. "I am going to push you past the limits that you didn't even knew existed. Don't worry son, It's gonna be great." "Okay, dad. Just as long as you don't hold anything back," replied Goten. And with that request, Goku disappears. Goten stays still, remembering what Gohan had taught him. He listens and tries to find his father's power signature. The only noises he hears are the rustling wind and the chirping birds. Goten snaps his head in the direction of a gust of wind, only to see butterfly, fluttering in front of him. Then, with lightning reflexes, he ducks a chop from Goku aimed at the back of neck and tries to kick him in the stomach. Goten is surprised when his foot goes right through Goku's stomach and connects with nothing but air. He turns around and blocks a jab by Goku and then the two begin exchanging punches, although neither one is able to connect. Goten swings a kick to Goku's right side and it goes through Goku's after image. Goten turns around and is blind-sided by a crushing left hook by Goku, knocking him towards the ground. Goten turns his fall into a back flip and launches towards Goku after his feet hit the ground. He fires a small ki blast that Goku knocks away easily, only to the kicked in the spine as Goten capitalized from his distraction. Goku spins around and launches a fury of punches on Goten. The two trade attacks, canceling out all of their opponent's moves. They break away and stare at each other for a moment to exchange a smile, then go right back at it. Goten flies directly at his father, preparing to deliver a kick to the side. His leg meets the side of Goku's forearm as his kick is blocked. Goku then powers a roundhouse kick that connects with Goten's left shoulder. Goten sees this opening and throws an uppercut at Goku's unguarded stomach. Again, the attack goes through Goku's body and Goten is left there connecting with nothing but air. Goku appears behind Goten and jabs him in the back. As Goten stretches in pain, Goku spins around and delivers a chop that sends Goten plummeting towards the earth. Goten stops himself before he hits and floats down to the ground. At this time, Goku does the same and they are staring at each other again. Goten then begins to summon his power. A golden aura appears around him and his hair flickers between black and gold. Then he lets out a roar as the power engulfs him and he is now a super saiyan. Goku remains motionless, only smiling at his son. "Okay Goten, let's kick it up a notch," says Goku. Goten smiles at his father and vanishes. He then appears behind Goku and tries to grab him in a full nelson. Goku anticipates this and side steps his son?s attack. He then spins around and delivers a massive heel kick to Goten's face. As Goten is sent reeling, he focuses his energy and stops his momentum. He looks for his father, only to meet his face with Goku's fist. As he is stumbling backwards, he turns his fall into a back flip and connects a kick to Goku's head. When his feet hit the ground, he pushes off and flies towards Goku. Just as he is about to punch him, Goku blows Goten away with his golden aura. Goku is now power up as a super saiyan, and says, ?Ready for round two, son?" ---------- Alone, in the darkness of space, a man is training without interruption. No wife, no son, no rival, only training. His punches move so quickly, that they appear only as the wind. He moves around at speeds insane to the ordinary man. But this is no ordinary man. He is Vegeta, Prince of the Saiyans. He has been training, non-stop, for nearly six months and in his mind, has made little progress. He is very frustrated by this and blames only one man. Vegeta thought to himself, "Damn you Kakarot, why did you ask me to do the one thing I never should have done? My fusion with you has left me feeling off balance, as if something's different inside my body. WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME???" Vegeta lets out a tremendous scream and is surrounded by golden flames. His eyes change from black to blue-green as he powers up to super saiyan. While he continues screaming, his hair begins to straighten and his aura becomes a darker tint of gold. He is now a super saiyan 2. His screams are constant as he tries to further release his power, but to no avail. He is now maxed out and nowhere near Goku's true power. As his screams die out, he falls to one knee and is cringing. "Why Kakarot?" asks Vegeta. "How did you get so much power? I will not stop until I surpass you!" Just work a bit on paragraphs, spacing, spelling, you know. And also: You've captured the true spirit of Vegeta. grizzlyadams120 Posted April 18, 2002 Author Share Posted April 18, 2002 Dragonball Omega On the last Epsidode of Dragonball Omega: Vegeta had decided to trin in outer space to rid himself of any distractions, although his fusion with Goku has apparently left him not feeling like himself. Also, Goku has chosen Goten as his next project, expecting to help him reach super saiyan 2. Episode2: Advancing Yourself Gohan raced to school. He was entering the final year of study for his doctorate. Although he had mainly focused on his school and his family, Gohan still managed to find time to train. He had grown stronger over the past few years and is capable of holding his own against Goku. After Buu absorbed him, Gohan lost his mystic transformation. He had since learned to settle for mastering the second level of super saiyan, and hopefully the third. But that was the least of his concerns right now. He had agreed to fill in for a professor who was sick and he was running late. "If it hadn't been for this substitute teaching job, I could be training with dad and Goten right now," Gohan thought to himself. As he ran down the street, his speed kept him from being seen. Only a gust of wind could be felt. As he entered the classroom, he noticed something odd. The entire room was empty. As he looked around the building, there were no students or faculty. He began to worry until he saw one lone student. Gohan ran up to him and began shaking him and asking him questions: "What happened here?" Gohan yelled. "Where is everybody? Why isn't anyone here? WHAT'S GOING ON?!?!" (Moving his arms around.) "Relax dude," the student replied. ?It?s like Sunday, man" (Gohan falls down with his feet in the air) ---------- Goten and Goku looked at each other across the field. They had chosen a perfect location for their sparring match. The mountains were just a few miles north of them while a gigantic lake lied directly south of their position. Currently, they were in the middle of a huge field that stretched on for miles. Nothing could get in their way. Goku got tired of waiting and phased out. Goten remained on guard, but did not attempt to follow. He would wait for his father. Goku phased in behind Goten and tried to sweep his son. Goten lowered his arm and caught his father's ankle in his hand. He flipped Goku back and advanced on him with a kick, but Goku phased out again. Goten stood motionless, trying to sense his father. All of a sudden, Goku appeared directly in front of Goten and threw a punch. This caught Goten off-guard and the jab nicked his cheek. After this, the two saiyans began throwing punches at each other, trying to connect anything. Goku struck his son in the stomach with an incredible elbow and then grabbed Goten's right wrist while he gasped for air. As he twisted behind his son, still holding the wrist, he connected a thunderous kick to the side of Goten's head and sent him flying. As Goten sailed through the air, Goku appeared in front of him and performed a back flip with his leg extended. When Goten met up with him, Goku's leg connected with Goten's shoulder and sent him crashing to the ground with an immeasurable amount of force. Goku hovered in the air, looking down at the crater that had formed from Goten's landing. When the dust cleared, he was shocked at what he saw, or to be precise, what he didn't see. "When could he have escaped," Goku thought to himself. "I was watching the entire time. He floated down and scanned the area. "I don't sense him any where." "GOTEN!" Goku yelled. "Are you okay?" Suddenly, two arms popped up from out of the earth. They grabbed Goku's legs and pulled him down to the ground. Goten smashed out of the ground and focused a ki blast. Goku looked up and saw him son right above him. When he noticed the energy wave, Goten had already launched it. The blast hit with an awsome amount of force. Goten barely escaped the explosion caused from the attack. He scanned the area, looking for his father. His signal had disappeared, but Goten wasn't fooled. He knew his father could take way more than that attack. Goten ducked his head and looked up to see an extended arm right above his head. He spun around and kicked the side of his father's leg. Goku saw the opening and swung his right arm down and rocked Goten with a right cross. He then appeared behind Goten and planted a knee in his back. Goten gasped for air, but at the same time, used his momentum to swung him above Goku, where he tried to drop an elbow into Goku's shoulder, but hit an after image. He then turned around and met Goku's uppercut with his stomach. Goten bent over Goku's arm, allowing Goku to clasp his hands and deliver a hammerblow to Goten's back, sending him crashing into the ground, again. When the dust cleared, Goten stood gathering his ki for an attack. Goku sensed this and began one of his own. The two spoke in unison: "KAAA..." "KAAA..." "MEEE..." "MEEE..." "HAAAAA..." "HAAAAA..." "MEEEEE..." "MEEEEE..." "HAAAAAAAA!!!!" "HAAAAAAAA!!!!" And with that, both attacks were unleashed on each other. The energy beams screamed towards each other at amazing speeds. As the two beams connected, an enormous explosion could be heard and seen for miles away. When the light died down, Goku was floating in the air while Goten lay unconscious on the ground. Goku floated down to his younger son and carried him home. Goku thought to himself, "You're getting closer, Goten. It won't be much longer until you've done it. Next time, I'll make sure Trunks and Gohan are here to see how you've progressed." ---------- Vegeta sat in the middle of his ship in a meditation stance while the gravity machine was humming at a mere 300G's. He had pushed his body further than anyone thought possible, but his mind still needed some work. He cleared his mind and went back to the beginning. He saw himself battling Kakarot. He looked on as Oorazu Gohan crushed his body, even after he had cut his tail off. He thought of Freiza and how he had destroyed his race. His mind wondered on, remembering when he was revived by the dragonballs on Namek. And there it was, Kakarot and Freiza fighting each other. His first glimpse of the legendary warrior, the super saiyan. He remembered how he felt like a humble on-looker. And then his thoughts moved on to Cell. He remembered seeing his son for the first time. He remembered training with him for the year in the Chamber of Space and Time. Then he remembered his fight with Cell. Then his stupidity when Cell tricked him. He remembered Goku's son becoming a super saiyan 2 and also Goku's sacrifice. Then Cell's return. This made him angrier than any other memory. Because next was his sons death and his feeble attempt to avenge him. He remembered Babidi and Buu. He remembered his very own sacrifice. He remembered fusing with Kakarot, and then seeing him as a super saiyan 3. This was finally too much for the prince. His body began to shake as his memories overflowed his senses. It was like opening a damn. The emotions washed over him like a tidal wave. There was pride for his saiyan race, sorrow for the deaths of the saiyans, anger for his jealousy of Kakarot. After all of this he felt something he had never thought he would. He felt love for his family. He felt love for his friends. When these feelings overcame him, he opened his eyes wide and gasped for air like he had never breathed before. Then he let loose an enormous amount of energy. His aura flared like an uncontrollable fire. He went super saiyan instantly. The muscles in his body began to tense up, as his energy seemed like it was never-ending. His power increased and he was forced to go super saiyan 2. Electricity surrounded his dark golden aura as his power continued to be released, causing his body to levitate in the middle of the space ship. He clenched his teeth as his body was put through an unimaginable amount of pain. He felt like his body was being torn apart from the energy that wanted to be released. Then it happened. The energy that he was producing was so potent that his body felt like it was changing; his screams were deafening. He noticed that his face was not normal. As he touched it, he felt that his eyebrows were no longer there. He also felt his hair growing. Then, it ended. Vegeta, in normal mode, collapsed onto the floor from the exertion on his body. He trembled as he tried to lift himself off the ground. He was able to crawl to the control panel, where he set the course back to earth. Before he passed out from exhaustion, he thought to himself: "I'm not quite sure what you've done to me Kakarot," thought Vegeta. "But I'll be sure to ask first." On the next Epsiode of Dragonball Omega: Some of the Z-Fighters show up at Kame's lookout because of extinuating circumstances. There, they discover that Piccolo is acting a little on-edge. Also, Vegeta pushed himself beyond his limitations, but how? Episode 3: Risky Business Gohan arrived at his parent's home in time to see Goku put Goten to bed. "Another hard day of training, huh dad?" asked Gohan. "Yeah Gohan," replied Goku. "I think he'll be there real soon. It's just a question of time." "I stopped by Bulma's on my way home," said Gohan." Apparently, Vegeta is on his way home. He's been gone for nearly six months. How do you think he is?" "Knowing Vegeta, he's probably ready for some action," said Goku. (laughing) "I wouldn't want to be the first person he sees when he gets back." Chichi enters the room, "Gohan, you're just in time for lunch. Would you care to join us, or do you have to get back to Videl and Pan?" "No mom, they went shopping today," replies Gohan. "And there's no way I'm gonna turn down a home cooked meal." Goku lunges at the table when Chichi sets the food down. "Oh no mister. No food for you until you go get Goten" Chichi sternly said. "Bught ChmiChmi, Ium soough humngrey" Goku mumbled while stuffing his face. "Thmish ish soough gooud!! Youyer fooud ish beghter thwan anmy omther Iuve hawd. Beshides, hwes pwrobaubly tiored frwom twraeining." "Oh Goku, you're probably right, I'll just wake him up later," Chichi added. She continued to look on as her husband and son devoured all of the food as quickly as she served it. ---------- Piccolo sat at Kame?s lookout. He was in deep meditation while Dende and Mr. Popo looked on in awe. Piccolo had formed a solid white aura around him that was getting increasingly brighter. The ki Piccolo was producing danced on all sides of him like flames dance around a fire. Looking directly at it was like staring into the sun. As the energy around him increased, his body started to levitate. The energy began swirling around him like a tornado, creating shockwaves that were released with incredible power. Dende and Mr. Popo were forced to cower from the force that was being exerted on their bodies. When the shockwaves wore down, they opened their eyes to see Piccolo standing there, staring off at the Earth which part of him had vowed to protect as guardian, just as Dende was doing now. "What is wrong, Piccolo?" inquired Dende. "Do you sense something?" "I'm not sure. Whenever I scan the area, I think I feel something unusual, but then it's as if it was never there. And that makes me uneasy." "What do you feel, Piccolo?" Mr. Popo asked. "Where is it coming from?" "It's here on Earth. I just know it, and that means that there is going to be trouble. How much longer does he have in the Chamber of Space and Time?" "He's been in there for one hour," answered Mr. Popo. "He still has one more to go. Do you think he'll discover whatever it is he's looking for?" "I hope so, Popo," responded Piccolo. "I feel that we are going to need everything we've got. This one might get ugly." ---------- As the figure phased into sight, his body could be seen trembling from the extreme cold. This did not deter him though, as he proceeded to train even harder. His focus was unwavering. As his energy danced around him, he began gathering even more for an attack. "Aaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!" He released the wave and it slammed into an icy mountain that had just formed. The energy from the beam was wavering, so he focused his power in a scream and summoned even more. The wave tripled in size and then compacted into a condensed beam. He knew that if he were to make it to the next level, he would have to hold nothing back. The warrior noticed that the mountain was beginning to crumble, so he threw in everything he had left in him. The explosion rocked the icy mountain as a shockwave formed and blew a ring of ice in every direction. As the blast died down, the room was eerily silent. Then, out of nowhere, the temperature of the room increased by 200 degrees and the flames overwhelmed the young fighter. He tried to fly back to the resting area, only to have the flames pull him back. He screamed in agony, as the flames seemed to wrap around his body and burn him everywhere. He was helpless in the middle of the firestorm. He tried to summon whatever power he had left, only to collapse with no way out. Before he lost consciousness he spoke quietly to himself, "I'm ... sorry.. father. I ... just wanted .. to make ....you .....proud." And with those words, he drifted away. Not knowing how he could've let this happen. ---------- "Awake," Goten thought to himself. "How long have I been out?" "Oh, my head," Goten said out loud. "Where am I?" "At Kame?s lookout, son," answered Goku, as he looked at his son with a concerned look. "What were you thinking, Goten. The Chamber of Space and Time can be a very dangerous place, and besides, we were supposed to train together. What's the idea of running off like that without me? Could you have at least waited until I finished lunch?" "Seriously, bro." Gohan added as he approached Goten. "What do you think mom would've done if she had learned that baby boy was gone?? Gohan rubs his hand in Goten's hair like a noogie. "Oww bro, I'm a little sore here. Sorry everybody... So who found me?" asked Goten. "I did." Piccolo said as he walked away from the wall he was leaning against. "It's a good thing you told us how long you were going to be in there. Otherwise, no one would've looked for you hours." "Well, how long until I can go back in there?" Goten hopefully asked. "Hmmmm." Goku pondered. "I spoke with Korin and he said that his next batch of Senzu Beans will be ready in a few days. Think you can wait until then?" "Sure dad." "And next time I'll be there with you. Then we'll get some real training done." "Cool, thanks dad." ---------- Meanwhile.... A shadowed figure wonders through the dark forest. The only sound that can be heard is the wind as it blows through the limbs of the trees, sounding almost like a whistle. The being is rummaging through every inch of the forest. No place is safe, he will find it eventually. He came to Earth for on reason and one reason only: the Dragonballs. He had heard about them from a trader in the western galaxy who did business in this part of space. At first, he thought it was a myth, until he came across the 3-Star ball at a store in a small village. Of course, he had also heard about the heroic Z-Fighters that guard the Earth and the Dragonballs. The accomplishments of these brave fighters might have been lost to the deaf ears of the Earthlings, but across the universe the accounts of the Z-Fighters were well documented. That is why the being has come here: to put an end to the stoic Z-Fighters. He was only one Dragonball away from his destiny, and it was somewhere in that forest. On the next Episode of Dragonball Omega: The Z-Fighters locate something that hasn't been used in a long time. grizzlyadams120 Posted June 10, 2002 Author Share Posted June 10, 2002 Dragonball Omega On the last Episode of Dragonball Omega: Goten attepmted to push his limits farther by training in the Chamber of Spirit and Time, but he unfortunately needed some help leaving the room. Everything is okay, however, as Goku agreed to train him in there after the Senzu Beans were ready. But who is the mysterious creatre in the forest, and what is his interest in the dragonballs. Episode 4: The Dragonballs Bulma is cleaning up her lab, getting rid of all the junk she had made while she was bored. Then she just happens to come across the dragon radar. "Hey!" she said out loud. "I've been looking for this. I wonder if the batteries are dead." As she turns it on, the radar reads as if it had been used just yesterday. She clicks the top button to check the range finder and discovers something frightening. All seven of the Dragonballs are in the same vicinity. She looks at the radar for a minute to see if she is seeing things, and then begins yelling for Trunks. Trunks comes running into her lab, "Jeez mom, what's gotten into you? Is there anything wrong?" "Its ... the ..... Dragonballs .... They're all .. in the ... same ....place." she stumbles with the words, not knowing if this is a good thing or a bad thing. "What do you mean, mom?" Trunks asked and Bulma showed him the dragon radar. "Who could be looking for them?" "That?s the problem, I don't know." "How long until dad gets back?" "About five to six hours." "Okay mom, I'll go check it out. You go tell Goku and the others what?s going on, okay." "Hurry Trunks, and be careful." ---------- Vegeta paces back and forth on the ship. Since that day that he became a super saiyan 3, he hasn't been able to achieve the level again. Every time he attempts it, the feelings that are alien to him prevent him from transforming. He knows it's because of Kakarot, but he just isn't sure of what it is. He's tried physical and mental training, but they don't seem to accomplish anything. It feels as if his body is resisting the training, and this is beginning to worry him. "Kakarot, you WILL tell me what you've done to me. I MUST know, or I will go insane." He focuses his energy, trying to detect any small fluctuation. As he slowly increases his power he feels that he must turn into a super saiyan. His hair waves as if a calm breeze swept through the ship. His eyes change from black to blue-green as his hair becomes solid yellow. Vegeta tightens his grip on his power as he allows himself to ascend to a super saiyan 2. Now he violently releases his remaining power, only to become angry when nothing happens. "WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO ME?? I WAS SO CLOSE AND NOW I SEEM SO FAR AWAY. I DON'T UNDERSTAND. KAKAROT, WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?!? KAAAKAAAROOOT!!!" ---------- Outside Goku's house, Gohan, Goku, Piccolo, Goten, and Pan are sparring while Chichi and Videl are preparing lunch. Gohan and Goku are warming up together, while Pan and Goten are attempting to connect any of their punches on Piccolo. As the two saiyans work together, Piccolo effortlessly dodges every single attack they throw at him. "Jeez, Piccolo. What happened to you?" Goten wondered to himself. "You seem way stronger than normal. Guess I'll have to kick it up a notch." Right then, Goten raised his power and his hair began changing from black to gold. As his power increased, Piccolo began raising his own ki. The two fighters were moving so fast, Pan had to step out. "Aww man. When am I gonna be a super saiyan? This just isn't fair." Pan was beginning to pout. Goku and Gohan stopped fighting and watch the two Z-Warriors go at it. Goten and Piccolo charged each other with tremendous force. The two began trading blows left and right, each attack being blocked by the defender, however. They seemed to be at a standoff until Goten connected with a left roundhouse. This opening allowed him to spin around and land and uppercut into Piccolo's stomach. As he gasped for air, Goten smiled and back flipped behind Piccolo to land an axe-handle punch. When he swung, Goten was surprised to discover that his attack hit nothing but air. He looked around for Piccolo, but could not find him. That is, until he looked at Goku and Gohan, who were looking directly above him. He looks up in time to see Piccolo connect with a right cross that sent him flying to the Earth at an amazing speed. As Piccolo followed Goten, he prepared a ki blast and fired it at the young saiyan. Goten managed to phase out and the blast exploded where he would've hit. Goten appeared behind Piccolo and swung his left leg around to land a massive hit, only to have it blocked by Piccolo. The two then began trading punches again. This time, Piccolo actually landed a few and caught Goten off-guard when he landed a kick that snapped Goten's head back. Piccolo the moved behind him and fired a ki blast that sent Goten plummeting toward the ground. When Piccolo landed, he helped the young saiyan up and tried to cheer him up. "Nice job kid, you got some good moves. We'll just have to work on them a bit." "Thanks Piccolo. Man, what happened to you? You seem so much stronger now." "It's a secret kid, but don't worry. You might find out soon." "What do you mean Piccolo?" Gohan asked as he, Goku and Pan made their way to Piccolo and Goten. "Is there something going on?" "I'm not sure Gohan. I thought I had felt something unusual yesterday, but it was just for a moment, and then it disappeared. Now I can't sense anything. What do you think, Goku?" "Well ...." At that moment, Bulma comes flying down in a Capsule jet, landing a few meters from the others. "You guys, we might have a problem. I found the dragon radar and all seven of the Dragonballs are in the same area." "What??" Piccolo yelled with a tremble in his voice. "That must be what I was sensing." "Where's Trunks?" Goten asks, concerned for his best friend. "He took the dragon radar to find out more." "We'd better go after him before he gets in over his head," Goku suggests and all of the other Z-Fighters agree. "Tell Chichi and Videl what?s going on. We'll follow Trunks ki and find out what the situation is." "Okay Goku. Be careful, all of you. And look after Trunks, Goku. I'm counting on you." Bulma wished them well before going inside to tell the others. ---------- "Okay, Trunks. This is no big deal," thinking to himself. "Maybe all they want is money or something. Yeah right. Since when have we ever had THAT kind of luck? I'd better hurry up and get there quick." Trunks increased his speed as he followed the dragon radar, not knowing the danger that waited for him with the Dragonballs. On the next Episode of Dragonball Omega: What is happening with the Dragonballs, and will the Z-Fighters make it in time. Trunks is on the way, but will he be able to hold the creature off? "How did they find out about me," the being thought to himself, "I thought I had taken every precaution. Oh well, his strength is not the issue. It's his friends I'm worried about. I'd better find the Dragonball before its too late." And with that the being began scanning the area with beams protruding from his eyes, acting as radar. Although he could scan only a small area at a time, the search was being performed quickly and he felt he would have the Dragonball in no time. ---------- Meanwhile... Trunks was nearing the forest where the Dragonballs were. All of a sudden, a sharp jolt went strait into his stomach, causing him to stop immediately. "Whoa, what the heck was that?" Trunks said to himself. "I haven't felt anything like that since Buu. I suddenly have a bad feeling about this. It would probably be wise for me to hide my ki until I know what?s going on." Trunks then powered down and floated to the entrance of the forest. "I think I'll walk from here. I seem to be pretty close anyway," Trunks thought. He entered the forest and followed the radar very carefully. The forest was thick with foliage and extremely hard to see through. "Great," Trunks said. "This is gonna take forever if I want to stay hidden. And I can't feel that power anymore. It's as if it disappeared off the face of the Earth. What the heck is going on here?" Trunks proceeded past a thick tangle of bushes and roots. As he stepped into a clearing, Trunks looked on with fear. Standing before him was a reptilian-type creature unlike anything he had ever seen. It stood nearly seven feet tall with dark blue skin and cold black eyes. Two horns protruded from its elbows like razors and its claws looked like they could cut through anything. Although its muscles were enormous, the tone of this creature was second to none. The monster's tail looked particularly dangerous as it was covered with spikes. When the creature turned and looked at Trunks, something could be seen in its right hand. It was a Dragonball. ---------- Goku and the others floated in the air, wondering why they could no longer sense Trunks' ki. "What the heck is going on? Why would Trunks be hiding his energy signature?" Goten wondered. "Maybe he sensed that unusual power signature Piccolo was talking about earlier," Gohan answered. "We should go to the location where we last sensed him. That has to be near the Dragonballs." "You're right, Gohan," Piccolo added. "We cannot assume anything. We will continue on." "Okay Piccolo, but lets not waste any time," Goku stated. "Trunks may be in danger and we need to get there quickly." The Z-Fighters kicked it up into high gear and flew with amazing speed towards Trunks last location. ---------- "Foolish Earthling," the creature spoke, "You are too little, too late. I now have all of the Dragonballs and the universe will be mine." "Not yet, you monster," Trunks yelled. "I've got more than enough to keep you busy until the others arrive. Feel like testing your luck." "You do not seem to comprehend who you are speaking with. I am Mientus, the vilest creature in existence, and I will tear you apart and feast on your innards. I'll consider it my victory dinner." Then he set the Dragonball down and proceeded to summon his energy. A dark red flame surrounded Mientus as he began to gather its power. The energy swayed around the creature like water, extemely potent yet almost delicate. Trunks stood trembling at the massive power he felt. It was like he couldn't move because of his fear. Mientus let out a ferocious roar that deafened Trunks. As he gathered his senses, he looked up to see that the Mientus was gone. Trunks powered up to super saiyan and tried to sense where he was. He closed his eyes and tried to focus, and then he felt him. As Mientus lunged towards him, Trunks opened his eyes and sidestepped the attack. The creature swung his tail in the direction Trunks was evading and it was blocked by his right forearm. He screamed in pain as the spikes stabbed into his arm. Trunks spun around and struck the monster in the side of the head with a powerful kick. Mientus did not flinch at his attack and fear set into Trunks. Before he could react, a claw was plunged into Trunks chest. As he pulled it out, Trunks body hit the ground with a thud. "Stupid earthling. You were no match for my power. I would've let you escape. Oh well, now its time for my destiny." Mientus placed all of the Dragonballs together and proceeded to summon the Eternal Dragon. ---------- The Z-Fighters trembled at what they had just sensed. Trunks power signature had appeared and disappeared, but the other signature is what scared them. "No ...., not Trunks.." Goten said, as he could no longer sense his best friend. "What just happened??" Pan asked. "Where is Trunks?? Dad?" "Pan ..... Go Home, ... now." ordered Gohan. "You're not up to this, and I don't want you getting hurt. Please go home and tell the others what?s going on." "Grandpa?" "Gohan's right, Pan," Goku explained. "This is not a good place to be right now, and someone must let Vegeta know what?s happening here. Pan, I'm counting on you. You won't let me down will you?" "No sir, I'll go." "Oh Eternal Dragon, come to me. I have attained the seven Dragonballs and now wish to receive my rewards." The sky turned black as the Eternal Dragon appeared from the sky. Mientus looked at the dragon in awe. It was everything he thought it would be. The dominating presence of the dragon rendered him speechless for a few moments. The dragon looked at him and uttered these words. "YOU HAVE AWAKENED ME. TELL ME WHAT YOUR WISHES ARE AND I SHALL GRANT THEM." "Eternal Dragon, My first wish is to have the ability to control the mind of anyone who is evil." The dragon closed his eyes and paused as if he were in deep meditation. After a minute he opened his eyes and said, "YOUR WISH HAS BEEN GRANTED. WHAT IS YOUR SECOND WISH?" ---------- The Z-Fighters paused only for a moment when they saw the Eternal Dragon. "Are we too late?" Goten asked with desperation in his voice. "No .... lets get there, Now!!" screamed Piccolo. They all flew towards the dragon as fast as possible. The Z-Fighters landed at the very moment Mientus was making his second wish. "Dragon, my second wish is to turn all of the pure hearts on this planet into pure evil." Mientus laughed to himself after he had wished it. From the legends, he had always heard about how the Champion of Earth had the purest heart in the universe. And that his sons were exactly the same as him. If this wish worked, then he would be an unstoppable evil power that was under Mientus' control. Piccolo, Goku, Gohan, and Goten landed in time to hear the second wish and looked on with unimaginable fear. Piccolo realized that if the Dragon granted this wish, then he would be forced to fight the three people that meant most to him. He began shaking as he looked over to Goku who was staring at the dragon, trembling yet frowning, waiting for his answer. If the Eternal Dragon grants the wish, then he and his sons would become everything that they despised. During this time, the dragon had closed his eyes and was attempting to grant the wish. Because this wish was unusual, it might take some time. Gohan and Goten stared at Mientus with hatred in their eyes. They looked over and saw the body of Trunks, lying motionless on the ground. There was a gigantic hole in his chest. Gohan remembered what had happened during the Cell Games. He remembered Mirai Trunks being blasted in the chest when Cell came back. Gohan swallowed hard and turned to Piccolo. "Piccolo," Gohan screamed, "Get Trunks out of here now. You have to get him healed, we'll hold off this monster as long as we can." Piccolo turned to Goku, who was staring at him, "Do as Gohan says, Piccolo. You must get Trunks out of here. Take him to Kame?s and leave. You need to take our families and hide them from us. If this wish works, then you will also have to hide your power from me. Otherwise, I'll be able to use my instant transmission to find you." The words that came from Goku scared Piccolo more than anything else. "He's right," Piccolo thought. "It would be almost impossible to hide from him." He picked up Trunks and looked at the saiyans and said, "I'll figure out a way to reverse this. Gohan, Goku, Goten, all of you can trust me to get your families to safety." "Go, NOW!!" screamed Goten. Piccolo looked at the saiyan trio and nodded at them and then flew off. Mientus grunted and turned around to await the Eternal Dragon's decision. The trio of saiyans looked at Mientus and started powering up. All three of them immediately became super saiyans. Gohan and Goku continued their power up and became super saiyan 2. Goten looked at his father and brother standing there as SSJ2 and then he looked at Mientus. He thought of Trunks lying on the ground. He didn't know if his best friend was going to live or die. These thoughts circled in his head. His emotions overcame him as a well of power suddenly became available to him. He clenched his fists at screamed at the top of his lungs. Goku and Gohan looked proudly at Goten as his aura flared with a darkened gold. His hair stood up straight and his muscles expanded and then condensed. Goten was now a super saiyan 2. The trio of saiyans looked at Mientus and began to charge. Mientus had a look of fear in his eyes. He had heard stories about these beings, but because of the destruction of their planet, there were few left. He was seeing first hand what power could be unlocked by this legendary race of warriors. Mientus actually feared for his life. He looked at the dragon, which still had his eyes closed. He was prepared to fight them if he had to. Mientus squeezed his fists as he began to raise his power. His red aura appeared again, this time more brilliant. As his power increased, the horns on his elbows extended out about one foot and his claws each grew about two inches longer. His muscles then grew and condensed as his power took a dramatic jump. He launched towards his attackers and prepared an enormous ki attack for the super saiyan trio. Then, the dragon opened his eyes and answered Mientus. "YOUR WISH HAS BEEN ... GRANTED." The Dragon then closed his eyes as he faded away. The Dragonballs levitated in the air for a few moments before being scattered across the world. Mientus turned and looked at Goku, Gohan, and Goten, whose eyes were now solid white. He powered down, walked up to them and commanded that they get on one knee. When they did as he asked, Mientus started laughing like a madman. The Eternal Dragon had accidently unleashed the greatest threat the universe had ever seen. He had no idea what was going to happen now. All he knew was he had to get Trunks to Dende as soon as possible. Amazingly enough, Trunks was still alive, but Piccolo did not know how much longer he had. He sailed across the sky only minutes away from Kame's Tower. Piccolo searched deep within him, as if he were looking for something, or someone. Finally, he heard Kame's voice in his head. "Piccolo, I heard everything," answered Kame. "Well, do you have any ideas what we should do? I mean, its Goku, Gohan, and Goten. Surely we can do something to help them." Piccolo then saw a ray of hope. "Maybe the Namekian Dragonballs can be used. We can cancel out the wish." "...No," Kame answered. "Sadly, that cannot be done. Only the Dragonballs that were used can cancel out a wish." "Well thats just perfect. ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS HOLD OUT A YEAR??! There has to be another way." "Maybe Guru would know. We'll have to go to New Namek and investigate." ---------- Dende stood at the edge of the lookout. He had witnessed the entire series of events. He felt sorrow for his long-time friend, Gohan. It pained to see him in this state. "...Gohan," he spoke with absolute sadness. "Dende," Mr. Popo approached the young Namek, "What has happened?" "The worst possible thing, Mr. Popo. The worst possible thing." Dende then looked up to see Piccolo approaching at a high speed. Piccolo landed in front of them and set Trunks at Dende's feet. "Dende, is it too late for him?" Piccolo asked. Dende knelt down and placed his hand on Trunks chest. He proceeded to apply healing energy to the battered warrior. Then, a miracle happened. Trunks began to move. Piccolo breathed a sigh of relief as a glimmer of hope now existed. Dende proceeded to heal Trunks for a few more minutes. When he was fully healed, he stood up and looked at Piccolo. "What's going on here? Why am I here, Piccolo? Where is every one?" Piccolo looked at Trunks and told him to sit down. He then began to tell Trunks what had happened. Trunks sat there, stunned. He had so many thoughts wondering around in his head, he was unable to speak. He then looked up at Piccolo and asked what would happen next. "I'm not sure kid. One suggestion is to go to New Namek and see what Guru can do." "Well what are we waiting for. Lets go see mom." "Wait, I need to be heard." Everyone looked around, trying to find the source of the voice, except Piccolo. He knew exactly who it was, and actually, he was relieved to know that others knew of what had just happened. "King Kai, it's good to hear from you again." Piccolo said, clearing up any confusion the others were experiencing. "Do you have any ideas on what we should do? Kame believes we should go to New Namek and talk to Guru." "New Namek is exactly where you should go. I have spoken with the original Guru and he said it IS possible to void a wish from the Dragonballs, although the journey will be extremely dangerous. I also plan to have an audience with the Grand Kai. There might be something he can do as well." "What has do be done to erase the wish, King Kai?" asked Trunks. "Well, when a wish is asked, the dragonballs send the wish to another plane of existence. There, the wish is reviewed and then recorded by the ancient gods of Namek. Once they approve, the Dragon is allowed to grant the wish. The process is long and thorough, but it only takes a few moments in our plane. If we can cross over, into the other plane, we can erase the wish fron the records and it will be as if it had never occurred." "Um, okay. How will we get to the other plane?" Piccolo inquired. "You wil have to use the Namekian Dragonballs to get there." "Then how will we get back?!?!" Trunks asked anxiously. "Don't worry, we'll have that figured out by then. Right now, worry about getting to New Namek. We are going to have to handle this one step at a time." Trunks and Piccolo looked at each other. Piccolo the walked over to Dende. "Dende, I don't want you and Popo to stay here alone. You two should come with us to Goku's. We need to move everybody to a secure location. King Kai, talk to the Grand Kai and see what he can do to help. We must leave now." "Farewell Piccolo, be careful." Piccolo nodded and looked at the others. They all then took off for Goku's house. The two had agreed that the best course of action would be to use one of Bulma's space ships to go to New Namek. Hopefully, the new Guru would have some insight on the situation. As the two warriors streaked through the sky, they remained silent, each trying to fully understand what had just happened and what events might follow. Meanwhile, Dende and Mr. Popo did everything they could to keep up with the two warriors. As they approached Goku's house, a large group of people could be seen outside. Apparently, Chichi and Videl had decided to invite all of the other Z-Fighters over for lunch. When they landed, Krillen and Tien greeted Piccolo and Trunks. "Hey Piccolo, Hey Trunks." Krillen said as he walked up to the pair. "Jeez Piccolo, what's the matter? You look a little greener than usual." (laughing) "Aw, come on Piccolo. Lighten up man. Dende, Mr. Popo, what are you doing here?" "Krillen, shut up." replied Trunks. "Something has happened." "What are you talking about, Trunks?" Tien asked, as the others began walking towards the conversation. "What do you mean 'something'?" "Where are Goten, Gohan, and Goku?" Chichi demanded. Trunks turned and looked at Piccolo. There was no way that he could possibly tell his best friend's mom what had just happened to her family. He looked around at everyone who was there: Krillen, Yamcha, Tien, Chaotzu, Master Roshi, Android 18, his mother, and then he looked at Chichi, Videl, and Pan. How could he tell anyone, especially them, what he knew? He turned to Piccolo, who placed his hand on Trunks' shoulder. "Is one of you two gonna answer my question?" Tien asked frustrated. "I will." Piccolo responded. "Please all of you, sit down and listen. When Bulma had discovered that someone was trying to gather all of the Dragonballs, Trunks, Goku, Gohan, Goten, and myself went to investigate. There, we saw an unspeakable evil. The creature we saw goes by the name Mientus and he has already been granted his two wishes. The first ... was to control the mind of anyone who is evil." Everyone gasped at this wish, they all remembered how dangerous the previous enemies had been: Cell, Frieza, and Buu. Any man who could control these monsters would be very dangerous, especially with one wish left. Krillen was the only one capable enough to ask the question on everyone else?s mind, "What was his second wish Piccolo?" Piccolo swallowed hard and looked at everyone, "That all purely good hearts on this planet be turned to pure evil." Words could not describe the emotions felt by the Z-Fighters. They looked at Piccolo like he was the Messenger of Death. Feelings of dread and sorrow overcame them, particularly Chichi and Videl. Chichi fainted from the shock of learning that her family would never be the same. Krillen, Chaotzu, Yamcha, and Roshi were trembling in fear. Tien was trembling from anger. "Well what the hell are we supposed to do now?" he yelled. "We go to New Namek. According to King Kai, there is a way to reverse a wish, but it is extremely dangerous," answered Piccolo. "And right now, it's our only hope." ---------- Mientus viewed his prize possessions. The strongest fighters in the universe were now his to control. "Goku," asked Mientus, "How strong are you?" Goku looked at Mientus with an evil grin and began summoning his powers. He clenched his fists as his energy began to flow through his body. When his ki began to increase, something strange began to happen. Although he was preparing to turn into a super saiyan, his golden aura was nowhere to be seen. Instead a blood-red type ki surrounded him. As he screamed while powering up, his hair flickered from black to red. His eyes, which would normally turn blue-green, also turned into a blood-red color. Veins were swelling all over his body as his energy continued to rise. Mientus looked on with pride as he realized he would be unstoppable. Goku then let out a thunderous scream that seemed to shake the Earth. His hair stood up straight and his muscles condensed. His power was unimaginable, but he was not finished. His body started to levitate from the evil energy he was producing. He pulled his arms up to his face, as if to shield him from something, and began to hum quietly. Suddenly, Goku shot his arms out and let loose another deafening scream. As his body changed, ki was fired from his pulsating body and completely decimated the forest with a shockwave. When the smoke cleared, Goku floated in the air as a super saiyan 3. His long red hair swayed with the movement of the wind as a combination of his ki and electricity danced around him. Mientus appeared speechless. After a few moments he cleared his thought and asked Goku, "Are the other two this powerful?" "No ... Master," replied Goku in an almost robotic voice. "I am the only saiyan that can reach this level." Then, an evil smile appeared on his face. "Others have tried, but they were all humbled by my strength. Now, no one will be able to defeat me." Mientus looked at Goku with an approving look and then walked over to Gohan and Goten. "Because you boys mean so much to me, I'm going to give you a present. You three will go to the nearest city. There you will destroy everything you see. When you are finished return here and we will start our conquest." As the three flew off, Mientus added, "Be sure to take your time. I want you three to enjoy this." The three saiyans greeted those words with evil grins as they flew to their destination.... Satan City. ---------- Vegeta's head snapped towards the direction of Earth. His body trembled at the energy he was feeling. It was dark and evil, yet familiar. Thoughts raced through his head as he tried to identify the energy signature. "I know I've felt this energy before. Yet, it seems so alien. Who could it be?" Vegeta closed his eyes and tried remembering all of those he had faced. He traced all the planets he had invaded, all of the villains he had fought, all the heroes he had crushed when he was with Freiza. And then, for some reason, he thought of his visit to Earth and when he faced his ultimate rival. Vegeta's eyes shot open, as he couldn't believe what he was sensing. "Ka...Ka..rot, how could .. this ... happen?" Vegeta then looked at the control panel. He had two hours left until he reached Earth. ---------- Piccolo and the others could not believe what they just felt. While the Z-Fighters remained motionless, it appeared as though someone had ripped away any hope that might have existed. "Is ... that .....Goku?" were all the words that Tien could speak. Others just looked on with complete fear. "It's ... so ..... dark." added Krillen. "It's as if .. the Goku we knew ... never existed." "They're on the move," Piccolo stated. "And if they maintain their heading, there is only one possible destination, Satan City." "Father!? ... no," cried Videl. "Mother, when can we leave for New Namek?" asked Trunks as he walked towards Bulma. "Well, one of the ships is being serviced, so count that one out. The second one is smaller, it can only hold four people, but it can leave as soon as its prepped and it's very fast, along with a gravity training room that can fit two people. And then there's the ship Vegeta has. It's the biggest one we have. Everyone here could fit in it comfortably." "How much longer until he gets back?" "It'll be another two hours." "Bulma, contact Vegeta and let him know what?s happened here," Piccolo ordered. "Then prepare the second ship. Trunks and I are going to Satan City." Everyone looked stunned, even Trunks. "Uhh, Piccolo, do you think that's wise?" Krillen asked. "I mean that?s Goku, Gohan, and Goten you're talking about." "Quiet Krillen! What do you think will happen when they receive no resistance from us or anyone else?" Everyone stared at Piccolo in silence. "I'll tell you, they'll get bored. And that?s when they'll really be dangerous. As long as they have someone to focus their rage on, then they won't try to destroy the planet." In their minds, they only heard one thought: "DESTROY SATAN CITY ... DESTROY SATAN CITY ... DESTROY SATAN CITY..." The thought of ending all of those innocent lives made each of them smile. The three powered up to increase their speed. The three saiyans were looking forward to testing their new powers; the wish had not only turned their hearts evil, it also eliminated all inhibitions. There was nothing holding any of these warriors back, except the orders of Mientus. Goku was looking forward to this; unlike Gohan and Goten, he knew who would be meeting them in Satan City. He knew it wouldn't be much of a test for him, but it would be a good warm up for the offensive that the Z-Fighters would launch. He smiled mischievously as the trio continued toward their destination. ---------- The bustling city was carrying on its day like any other, oblivious to the danger that lay ahead. The residents of Satan City lived without a care in the world. After the Buu saga, the element of danger had all but disappeared. Not only did they have their savior, Mr. Satan, the beloved Mr. Buu was also there to protect them. To the people of Satan City, life was perfect. Satan lounged by his pool, relaxing after his 'strenuous' workout. Since Buu was now the protector of the city, Satan rarely made public appearances, with the exception of the World's Martial Arts Tournament; of which he was still the champion. Buu was in the kitchen, enjoying a snack. The large-one was taking a break after surveying the city earlier that morning. "OOOOhhhhh, Buu loves ice cream. Mmmmmmm..... HUH! What that?" Buu dropped his ice cream as he tried to focus on the powers that were approaching the city. Satan had walked into the kitchen at this time and saw that Buu seemed distracted. "Haahaa, what's the problem, Buu? Why you look like one of my opponents as soon as I enter the ring. Mwhaaahaahaa. Huh?" Buu stood silently in the kitchen. He looked at Satan and the moved over to the window. He looked out of the window into the city he had grown to love. Buu stared out into the horizon and what he sensed startled him. He then burst through the window to meet the on-comming powers. ---------- Piccolo and Trunks stared in the direction of Satan City. They had just felt a large power move to intercept the three saiyans. "It must be Buu," Piccolo said closing his eyes. "He's already sensed them. We need to leave, now. He won't stand a chance without us." Piccolo turns to the group and walks over to Dende. "Dende, we need you to come as well." "What?!?! You can't expect him to do that, Piccolo." Krillen yelled, defending his long-time friend. "I realize the danger he will be in Krillen, but we have no Senzu beans. Korin says they won't be ready for a few more days and we'll need some means of healing ourselves if we want to stand a chance." "Senzu Beans?" Master Roshi interrupted. "I happen to have a handful right here." "Now how in the world would you know to bring Senzu beans, Master Roshi? And where did you get them?" Krillen surprisingly asked. "First Krillen, I"M OVER TWO HUNDRED YEARS OLD, YOU DOPE!!" Roshi screamed as he popped Krillen on the head with his cane. "DO YOU THINK I WOULDN'T HAVE LEARNED ANYTHING IN THAT TIME?!?!" (Krillen is sitting on the ground, grabbing the top of his head in pain.) "AH-HEM, I knew there would be trouble today, I just didn't know it would be this bad.... Second, I've been experimenting with Korin's Senzu beans. I figured that two of us growing them would make things a lot easier." "How many of them did you bring?" Piccolo asked, somewhat relieved. "Five, Piccolo. That?s all that I have. They'll have to tide you over until Korin's are ready." "Thank you, Master Roshi. I'm sure we'll put all of them to good use." Trunks replied politely. He then walked over to Bulma, who was looking sorrowful yet worried. "Mom, I'll be careful. You be sure to do the same." "Okay Trunks. We'll have everything ready for you when you come back." She hugged him and Chichi and Videl could be heard crying in the background. "I'll take care of them as well." "Thanks mom." Piccolo and Trunks took off with the precious Senzu beans, a little more confident than before. They sped towards the city, hoping they would be able to arrive in time to help Buu. ---------- As Buu flew towards the powers he was sensing, he realized what he would be facing. He knew who the power signatures were. He had faced them before, but they weren't the same. They were dark, like he used to be. Unlike him, however, they were incapable of change. These powers were pure evil, and possibly unstoppable. Buu stopped at the outskirts of Satan City. This would be were they would meet. He scanned the area and found them, approaching dead ahead. They were on a collision course with his exact position. Then, they appeared out of the horizon, glowing with blood-red ki. Buu stood his ground as the trio stopped within a few feet from his location. After a momentary staring contest, Goku spoke. "Buu!" his voice was much darker than before. "I'll give you one chance to save this city. It means nothing to us, but you, on the other hand, do. If you can defeat all of us, then it will be spared. If not, then it will be annihilated along with you and any other opposition that arrives." Buu looked at Goku and then glanced over at Gohan and Goten. "Don't worry about them yet, I'll be your first opponent. Worry about me." Goku closed his eyes and clenched his fists. His power began to increase as waves of energy rotated around his body. Flames of red ki engulfed him as two separate rings of energy revolved around him. The rings were a mixture of condensed red ki and electricity and each had enough power to destroy the entire planet. Goku started humming out loud as he burst into an evil super saiyan. The energy rings were pulled closer to him, but still maintained some distance as they continued their rotation. Goku opened his eyes to reveal his blood-red pupils to Buu. Veins began protruding from his body as one of the energy rings was pulled into his body. He let out an agonizing scream as he became an evil super saiyan 2; his red hair standing up strait, his muscles larger, yet more condensed, and finally his complexion seemingly darker. The last ring also pulled into him, but was blasted away when Goku released his energy in an enormous explosion. When the dust cleared, Buu looked in awe at an unrestrained Goku, and he began to tremble. "Come on Buu, I haven't got all day. Goku said impatiently. "Our fight starts now!!" Buu responded by bending forward gasping for air. Goku then spun around and delivered a left-handed chop to the back of Buu's neck, sending him plummeting toward the city. Buu was sent through three buildings before he could stop himself. He tried to sense Goku, but was caught off-guard again as Goku connected with a thunderous kick to Buu's right side. Again, Buu wrapped around Goku's attack and was delivered an axe-handle blow to the head as he crashed into a street below forming a gigantic indentation in the ground. Spectators ran away screaming as Goku flew down to the crater to look for his opponent, surprised not to see him when the dust settled. Goku remained still as he focused on finding Buu. Suddenly, he shot his right hand forward and he blocked a jab by Buu. The two stared at each other for a moment and began trading punches. The two warriors were capable of blocking each attack as they began to increase their power. Goku seemed surprised that Buu was keeping up with him, but was not very concerned. He quickly gathered energy around in his left fist and it wrapped around his arm. Goku then threw a left hook that connected with Buu's shoulder. Buu screamed as the energy tore through his body. Goku removed his fist and Buu was left with a hole in his shoulder. After a few seconds the hole disappeared as Buu healed his body. He then looked at Goku and summoned his full power. "Goku good. Why Goku try hurt Buu? Buu mad. Now Buu get serious." Buu's energy increased dramatically as his body began to grow. Just when his body looked like it was so big it would explode, he released the steam from his venting holes. Goku moved with unimaginable speed and connected an uppercut into Buu's stomach. Buu stood there for a moment and looked up a Goku smiling. He then spun around and kicked Goku across the face. Goku did not move at all though, as his energy had immediately increased to compensate for Buu's attack. "You move too slow you big, pink blob." Goku said as he grabbed Buu's foot. He jerked the leg towards him and punched Buu in the face. He twisted behind Buu and landed a roundhouse kick to Buu's collarbone, sending him plummeting to the ground again. As Buu fell, Goku began to gather his ki for an energy attack. Red energy collected in both of his hands as two balls formed surrounded by electricity. He screamed as he began firing multiple ki blasts toward the cities defender. A dome of energy formed around Buu as Goku increased the power of the attacks. He then fired one last blast of energy that caused the dome to explode. As the dust cleared, Buu could be seen, lying in the rubble. The blast had destroyed a third of the city, instantly killing thousands, if not millions, of people. Buu began to move and proceeded to get up. He stood in the center of the debris, looking at what remained of the city he had vowed to protect. Goku looked at Buu with a sadistic grin while Gohan and Goten were beginning to get bored. "Hey dad, would you mind hurrying up, this is getting boring." Gohan said, anxious to fight himself. "Yeah, we want to have some fun, too." Goten added. Buu noticed that Goku was unguarded while he was talking to his sons and launched an energy beam at him. Goku turned around and stuck his hand out just in time to halt the attack. The attack had only served as a diversion though as Buu appeared behind Goku and landed a punch into his spine. Goku snapped back in pain from the attack as Buu then bashed him on the top of the head with his left fist. This sent Goku into the rubble causing a cave-in as the debris imploded around him. Buu then summoned all of his energy into a massive ki attack that he sent with all the force he could collect. The explosion was magnificent and could be seen for hundreds of miles. ---------- Piccolo and Trunks stopped dead in their tracks. They looked on as the blast died down. The energy they had sensed from that attack could have easily destroyed the planet if it had not been properly focused. "What the heck was that?" Trunks regrettably asked. "Do you think it was Goku or Buu? ..Piccolo...?" "I don't know, but we had better hurry." And the two resumed their path to the fighting, hoping that they would make it in time. ---------- Buu looked for movement from the rubble. He knew that his last attack was not powerful enough to finish Goku, but it might've rendered him unconscious. When he didn't see any movement after some time, he looked at the other two saiyans. They remained motionless, looking only at the rubble. Buu then looked back down and saw red beams of energy shooting out of the debris. Before he could react, an explosion occurred that sent him flying back. When he regained his bearings, he looked down and saw Goku gathering even more energy. "Very good, Buu. You've lasted much longer than I expected, but you are still nothing compared to me. I could defeat you right now, but I want to prove that I can beat you without having to go to the next level. You're nothing to me, or my sons." Goku then pulled his arms to his sides and focused his power. After a few moments, he raised his arms above his head and then pulled them back down condensing his ki dramatically. Goku then looked up at Buu and said, "Now, let's see what you can do against a full-powered super saiyan 2." He appeared behind Buu and punched him in the back. Buu looked down and saw that Goku's fist had gone completely through his chest. Goku put his feet on Buu's back, while rotating their bodies, and pulled his arm out, shoving Buu to the earth. Before he hit the ground, Goku caught Buu with a knee to the stomach. As Buu's body, yet again, bent around Goku's attack, Goku hit him with an elbow to the back of the head, sending him flying through multiple buildings. The evil saiyan unmercifully followed Buu, preparing another ki blast for the city's protector. Goku then fired the blast, which was more than strong enough to destroy the weakened hero. The beam shot through the center of town and destroyed countless buildings and ended hundreds of lives. When Goku finished the blast, he looked around, trying to sense Buu's location. "Up here Goku." Goku looked up and saw one of his former friends, now considered a bitter enemy holding his beaten opponent in his arms. He smiled when he realized that he would get some more practice before his true target arrived. "Piccolo," He said with a vile tone in his voice. "I was wondering if I would have to look for you or if you would arrive on you own stupidity. I guess I was right for waiting. And I see you've brought Trunks as well. Excellent." "Goku, it doesn't have to be this way. Give us a chance to help you. All of you." Piccolo said as his focus changed from Goku to Gohan. Gohan interrupted, "He's mine dad. You got Buu, but Piccolo belongs to me. We've already agreed on that." "Fine son, I know your hatred for him is far more than mine. You see Piccolo, the closer a person was to us, the more disgust we feel for them. Since you and I were enemies at one time, I only despise you. But Gohan, he is livid just being in your presence. If I hadn't been changed by Mientus' wish, then I would be his most hated nemesis, but since he, Goten, and I are all creatures of hatred, our feelings for each other have been voided. So that makes you number one on his list. Oh, and Trunks, you're number one on Goten's list. So it looks like a lot of baggage will be taken care of right now." "Trunks, give Buu a Senzu bean. We're definitely going to need his help right now." Trunks pulled out a bean and fed it to his former enemy. Buu turned his head and smiled at him. "Mmmmmm, that good. Buu like." Then Buu looked over at Goku and frowned. "You hurt Buu. Buu mad now! Buu make you pay!" Piccolo, Trunks, and Buu stared at Gohan, Goten, and Goku. The six fighters focused on the one they would be fighting. Goten and Gohan began to summon their dark energy. Red ki surrounded both of the young saiyans as their hair changed from black to red. Their increased strength resulted in a gigantic shock wave that blew everyone, except Goku, back a few hundred feet. Goten remained in evil super saiyan state, but Gohan knew that he would have to kick it up a notch. He smiled maliciously and closed his eyes as his hair began to stiffen. His muscles bulged and his ki flared. Electricity began dancing around his body, woven into his ki. He raised his arms, fists tightened, to intensify his power up. He let out a scream as his energy spun around him, raining balls of compressed ki down on the already beaten city. His opened his eyes and pierced into Piccolo's heart with his blood red pupils. Watching Gohan the entire time, Piccolo knew that this monster was not his Gohan. He closed his eyes and the carefree boy he had trained all those years ago called out to him in his mind, asking him to kill him and end his misery. Piccolo saw this knew what he had to do; and began to summon his true power as well. From his extensive training, he had discovered that he was capable of greatly increasing his power by focusing his mental energy. As his energy rose almost exponentially, his muscles grew in size, yet the definition of his body increased as well. The aura that surrounded him changed from white to purple, and his eyes became solid white as his ki began to spin around his body. He screamed as his cloak was disintegrated from the energy he was releasing. His eyes then returned to normal and he looked at a smiling Gohan. Trunks looked with amazement at Piccolo's transformation and then stared at his best friend and began to doubt whether he could do this. Piccolo sensed his wavering and screamed, "Trunks!! It's not really them. These aren't the same people we cared for, these are monsters. I don't want you holding anything back. If you do, then they'll finish you off. Fight with everything you have. You have more than enough strength to do this, you just need to focus it." Trunks looked at Piccolo and then at Goten. He thought about his best friend being turned into this monster. He loved Goten like a brother, but this wasn't Goten. This was a dark, unmerciful creature that had to be destroyed. He summoned his energy and became a super saiyan. Many people had evacuated when the fighting began. Hardly anyone was left in this once-proud metropolis. Piccolo eyed his opponent as the groups began to separate. No one wanted to get in anyone else?s way. These would be heated battles that had no reason to be interrupted. Although Gohan still resembled the good soul he used to be, Piccolo did not lose his focus. It almost appeared if he were looking through Gohan, and saw what was to come. He launched toward Gohan and the two began their battle, as did the other pairs. ---------- Piccolo caught Gohan off-guard because of his increased speed. His new attributes were unknown by Gohan, which meant Piccolo had a slight edge. The Namek struck Gohan in the shoulder when the saiyan attempted to dodge the attack. The force from the hit caused him to spin around, allowing Piccolo to slam his knee in the small of Gohan's back. Gohan cringed when this happened, and Piccolo grabbed each of Gohan's wrists and began pulling back on them. In this hold, Piccolo could drain Gohan's energy without causing permanent damage. Gohan screamed in agony, but his energy began to increase without any sign of stopping. He concentrated his ki and blew Piccolo back, breaking his hold. He the turned around and shoved his fist into Piccolo's stomach. Gasping for air, Piccolo looked up but Gohan was nowhere to be seen. He focused his mind and intensified his guard. He then swung his right arm to his side and blocked a kick by Gohan. He jabbed at Gohan's face, but only connected with an after image. Gohan drove an elbow down on Piccolo's back, but also swung through an after image. He spun around and punched, connecting his fist with Piccolo's fist, which resulted in a deafening boom. The two then exchanged blows for a while, blocking all of the other's attacks. Realizing the standoff, Piccolo and Gohan clasped hands and began a dangerous game of mercy. Electricity shot from their hands as each warrior tightened his grasp. Both fighters gritted their teeth as they threw more energy into the attack. Neither one wanted to back down from this test of power. The two floated down to the ground and a crater formed from the force they were exerting. Gohan attempted to drive a knee into Piccolo's stomach, but he met Gohan's knee with his own. The two traded knee's a couple of times and then Piccolo jumped in the air and drove his two feet into Gohan's chest. The move took the saiyan by surprise and he was now lying on his back. Piccolo stomped his feet, still holding on to Gohan's hands. Gohan rolled backwards when Piccolo had both feet in the air and drove him into the rubble face-first. Piccolo performed a front-flip after this counter-move while Gohan lifted himself off the ground. The two were left standing, with their backs to each other. ---------- (At the same time ...) Trunks and Goten had flown to an undemolished area of the city, far from the other fighters. The two young saiyans stared each other down. The two had fought each other countless times, but Trunks knew that this fight would be much different. That did not, however, mean that this is what Trunks wanted. "Goten, fight it! I know you can." "SHUT UP TRUNKS!! Do you realize how much I hate you. You mean nothing to me Trunks, and I'll prove it right now!" Goten flew towards Trunks, with his right arm extended. Before he hit Trunks, Goten pulled his arm back and swung his left arm at Trunks chest. Trunks crossed his arms just in time to block Goten's attack. Goten spun around and rocked the side of Trunks' head with a roundhouse kick. Goten then spun back around and drove his right foot in Trunks' stomach. As the young saiyan gasped for air, Goten appeared behind him and struck Trunks with a chop to the left collarbone. This last hit sent Trunks crashing into the top of a skyscraper all the way to the bottom floor, causing the building to collapse and burying him under the rubble. Goten floated with a smug look on his face, until the rubble started to move. Energy beams shot out of the cracks and crevasses of the debris causing Goten to shield his eyes. The rubble was disintegrated in a thunderous explosion and Trunks floated up from the destroyed building. A bright white light was all that could be seen behind the young warrior. Trunks breathed heavily as he stared at Goten. He was covered with cuts and his blue gi was torn from being buried. The white light started to die down and it was replaced by a brighter yellow light. Trunks breathed in as his ki began to flare around him. His power skyrocketed as his energy flashed blindingly around him. He relaxed his body as the light around him died out. He looked at Goten again. Trunks was at full power, and now he would put down his life-long friend. "Impressive Trunks, you truly have mastered the level of super saiyan. Too bad you're still not strong enough." Goten said with an arrogant tone. "What do you mean, Goten? What the hell are you talking about?" "THIS!" Goten tensed his entire body. Red flames of ki slowly spun around his body. He bent forward as he clenched his fists, forming an energy bubble around him. Trunks felt Goten's power jump and immediately knew what he was talking about. He looked on in terror as his best friend transformed. Goten gritted his teeth and frowned as the power swept through his body. Then, he slowly opened his mouth and screamed as electricity danced around him, forcing him to release his power. When he was finished, an evil super saiyan 2 Goten looked at a terrified Trunks. "What's wrong Trunks? You look like you've just seen your own death. Well, don't you worry. You won't die just yet, because I won't let you. I want to have some fun first." And then Goten started laughing insanely while Trunks looked at his one-time friend, mortified. ---------- Goku was bored with fighting Buu. He just wasn't putting up much of a fight. As Buu charged him, he dodged his attacks with minimal effort. Buu performed a devastating jab, but was shocked when Goku blocked it using only his index finger. He then grabbed Buu's fist and ripped his arm off. Buu screamed out in pain, but his cries were silenced when Goku shoved the severed arm in his mouth. Goku flipped backwards, gathering energy at the same time. When he was right side up again, his arms were stretched out, hand clasp in hand, with a ki attack already prepared. He fired the beam point blank at Buu and it connected without a chance of being blocked. The energy engulfed the savior of the city and his cries could be heard by Piccolo and Trunks. They looked over just in time to see the magnificent explosion. Smaller beams of red and white energy scattered the remaining city buildings. When the smoke cleared, the remaining sections of Satan City had been decimated and Buu was nowhere in sight. Trunks and Piccolo concentrated, but his energy signal no longer existed. They hung their heads in sorrow and then both looked at a laughing Goku. Then they trembled in horror when they heard his next words. "Hmmphf. Some defender of the city that was. He didn't want to give him any time to increase his strength. Piccolo landed a crushing blow to Gohan's temple, knocking him off balance long enough to grab his back and knee him in the gut. Gohan gasped for air and Piccolo smashed him in the back of the head with his fist. As he began to drop to the ground, Piccolo grabed Gohan's leg and jurked him back into a powerful knee that was imbedded into the saiyan's chest. Gohan coughed up blood and saliva, but Piccolo continued his attack. Clenching his fists together, Piccolo cracked Gohan in the face a couple of times with repeated hammerblows. The Namek was suprised, though, when Gohan caught his right wrist as he threw another punch. Gohan swung his right leg around and rocked Piccolo in the side of the head. Piccolo fell towards the destroyed city, finally stopping himself before samshing into a pile of rubble. Gohan charged, not letting up for a second. When he attempted an attack, he was shocked to connect with nothing but an after image. As he looked up, he was met with a thunderous kick to the face. Gohan fell to the ground and Piccolo jumped straight up, preparing his finishing ki attack. He placed his index and middle finger on his forehead as he gathered the energy for his special beam cannon. A yellow aura formed around his fingers as his muscles tensed. He did not want to end the life of the person he cared most about, but it was for the good of the planet, and Gohan would've wanted him to. This gave him the assurance he needed to perform this near impossible task. "SPECIAL ... BEAM ... CANNON!!" The energy beam soared down to Gohan, condensed with enough energy to end the saiyan's life, along with everyone else on the planet. Gohan looked up in time to see the beam coming right at him. He raised his hands and summoned his own attack. "MAASEENKOOOOUUUUU HAAAAAAAA!!" Gohan released the beam in time to collide with Piccolo's attack. The two warriors were at a standoff for a few moments, then Piccolo trembled with horror. Gohan began pushing his attack towards the brave Namek. No matter how much energy Piccolo put in his attack, Gohan was able to over-compensate. Piccolo grunted as the beam neared him. He tried to reach deep into his power for any precious energy he had left, but there was none to use. As the blast approached him, Piccolo lifted up his arms as the beam roared past him, coming within a few inches from completely annihilating him. When the energy beam died out, he looked down and saw Gohan closing in on him fast. Without any time to react, Gohan connected a flying fist with Piccolo's jaw. The Namek realed from the blow and didn't even see the ki blast Gohan had fired. When it hit him, Piccolo fell to the earth, hard. His landing was cushioned by Gohan's knee, which was buried deep in Piccolo's back. His eyes turned solid white as he tried to breath, only coughing up blood, but Gohan then dropped a devastating elbow into Piccolo's ribs. The force of the blow rendered Piccolo unconscious, leaving only Trunks as the last standing Z-Fighter. ---------- "Vegeta, this is Bulma. Do you read me? Vegeta, come in, over. HELLOOOOOO!!! Will you just answer me you big jerk!" "WHAT IS IT WOMAN?!?!" "Good, you're there. You only have twenty minutes until you reach Earth's atmosphere. Do you copy, over?" "Yes, woman. I heard you. Now, tell me what the hell is going on down there." Bulma proceeded to tell Vegeta everything she had heard from Trunks and Piccolo. She wasn't sure what was going to happen, but just knowing Vegeta would be home soon comforted her a little bit. Vegeta stood speechless in the middle of the space ship. His entire body trembled at what he'd just heard. No words could express what Vegeta was feeling. He thought to himself, "Kakarot, Gohan, Goten... all of them are evil now. How is this possible? What twisted mind could ask for such a thing? When I'm needed the most, how can I not have complete control over my powers? What good am I if I am not strong enough? WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!" "I can answer that Vegeta." Vegeta looked around the empty space ship. He had just heard a voice, but he was the only one there. "WHO ARE YOU?? Show yourself!" "It is I, Vegeta, King Kai, and I know what disturbs you." "Then tell me, NOW!, before I lose my mind." "It is a side effect from the fusion of you and Goku. You see, the porta earings are supposed to be a permanent fusion, so when you and Goku put them on, you actually became one being, Vegetto. However, when Buu absorbed you, the two of you were separated so you could be integrated into Buu. Since this was an unnatural separation, the two of you were more ripped apart than separated, so part of Goku was left fused in your body." "WHAT?!?! How is that possible??" "Goku has ... well, had a purely good heart. Because of this, he was able to resist any part of you that was not good. But you, Vegeta, you are a tourmented soul. Part good, part evil. That made you susceptible to the goodness that was in Goku. Therefore, some of Goku's pure heart became a part of your tortured heart." "So ... my royal saiyan blood has been tainted by this low-class saiyan's ... heart. Well, I guess there's only one thing to do." Vegeta prepares a ball of ki and aims it at his heart. "Vegeta, don't be a fool. Can't you see what this has done for you. You are no longer blinded by your own ambition. Goku's gift has unlocked in you what he had available to him all along. Your potential was always there Vegeta, but your rage locked it away. Now that it has been silenced, you are free to grow." "But I can't control this power, how can I 'grow' without it?" "It will come Vegeta. You must learn to believe in yourself, yet you must also know that you are not alone and that you can depend on others. It will not come easy Vegeta, but it will come." ---------- Trunks couldn't believe what was happening. It was like a bad nightmare. Buu has been destroyed, Piccolo is on the ground, unconscious, and the assailants are the three most honorable and noble men on the planet. Trunks closes his eyes and tries to remember what his life used to be like. He remembered his family and his friends, especially Goten. His trip down memory lane was interrupted by a familiar voice. "So, Trunks, how does it feel to fear?" Trunks opened his eyes and looked at his opponent, not his friend. He moved without even thinking. It was as if his body was on autopilot. He swung at Goten and hit nothing but air. His anger grew as he tried his best, yet could not even touch Goten. He jumped back and fired one ki blast after another, always missing his target. Goten laughed at Trunks' attempts. "It's sad, isn't it, Trunks? Here, you and I were almost equal for so long. Now that I have surpassed you, your power seems insignificant to me. Did you know that I reached this state only after I saw what Mientus did to you? (laughing) Imagine, your near death experience guaranteed your absolute death." Trunks clenched his fists trying not to think about what Goten had just said. Tears formed in his eyes when he realized nothing would work. He prayed that something, anything, would happen. His prays where answered by Goten's fist buried into his gut. His eyes shot open as he spat out a mouthful of blood and spit. He looked up at Goten and saw a sadistic smile on his face. Goten raised his hand and gestured goodbye to Trunks. He then chopped him in the neck and knocked him unconscious as well. Trunks reverted to his normal appearance as he fell to the ground. The three saiyans smiled at each other as they thought about what pain they would inflict on their mortal enemies. Goku jealously looked at his sons, while he imagined what he would do to his mortal enemy: Krillen. "But that is just for desert," he thought to himself. "My first target will be my greatest adversary: Vegeta." Gohan and Goten looked up and smiled dementedly at each other. Their hatred took them over as each prepared a final energy attack for their mortal enemy. Goku looked on approvingly, smiling and nodding at his two sons. The two readied their attacks and suddenly heard: "ENOUGH. YOU THREE HAVE WASTED TOO MUCH TIME ALREADY. THESE WEAKLINGS ARE NO THREAT TO US. RETURN IMMEDIATELY AND WE WILL PROCEED WITH MY PLAN. I COMMAND YOU!" The three looked angrily at each other but had no choice. Gohan and Goten powered down their attack and took off with Goku. The three headed back to the forest where Mientus waited for their return, leaving Trunks and Piccolo beaten and battered, but alive, in what used to be Satan City. She was in the process of fueling the space ship when Tien, Krillen, and Dende approached her. "Bulma, we can't wait here any longer," Tien announced. "Dende, Krillen, and I are going to check on Trunks and Piccolo. We will return as soon as possible." "Normally, I'd say you three are crazy, but I understand what you mean. Please go and see if my son is okay." "Sure thing, Bulma," Krillen replied. "We'll be sure to be back before you're ready to go." Bulma watched the three leave and went back to preparing the ship. After a few minutes, a loud noise could be heard outside. Bulma ran to see what was causing all of the noise and was relieved to see a space ship landing. "Vegeta!!" Bulma ran to the ship as the doors were opening. Vegeta exited the space ship, and a weird feeling came over him. He was actually happy that he had returned. He thought to himself as he looked about, "It will take some time to become accustomed to these foolish emotions. I just think they're a waste of time and energy." Vegeta stood in front of the space ship, looking to see if anyone was around. He then looked to his right and saw Bulma running towards him. Thoughts and emotions overwhelmed Vegeta and he started to fall down. Bulma got to him just in time to catch him before he hit the ground. "VEGETA!!! ARE YOU ALL RIGHT?!?! WHAT'S WRONG?!?!" "QUIET WOMAN!! I'm fine. Where's Trunks? Are he and the Namek still fighting Kakarot? I can't sense anything. Where is everyone?" "I don't know. Tien, Krillen, and Dende left to check on them a few minutes before you landed. They went to Satan City." As soon as Vegeta heard the location, he took off at blinding speed. He wasn't really thinking at this time, the only thing that was on his mind was his son. Bulma screamed at Vegeta as he left, "Be sure to tell them that the small space ship is ready!" ---------- A section of a wall shook until the debris around it fell over. Behind the rubble was a door that slowly opened. Peaking out, a terrified Satan looked at his ruined city. Nothing had been left standing. He mourned the loss of all of the people and proceeded to look for survivors. He walked for a few minutes and was startled to see a familiar face lying on top of what used to be a school. He approached the man cautiously and was somewhat reassured to see it was Piccolo. Satan looked at the injured Namek and checked for a pulse. When he found it, Satan breathed a sigh of relief and attempted to wake him. After a few minutes, Piccolo moaned as he began to gain consciousness. "What .. happened?" "I was hoping you would know. Where is everyone? Did Buu defeat the monsters? Where is he?" Piccolo was too weak to answer these questions. "Find Trunks ..... he has ... the ... Senzu beans." He then lost consciousness again. Satan looked at Piccolo for a few minutes, expecting him to wake up again. When he didn't, Satan stood up and looked around the city. "How in the world am I gonna find this kid?" he thought to himself. "And where the heck is Buu? It?s just not like him to up and leave." (sigh) After a few minutes of thinking, Satan decided to start looking for Trunks, but it looked like it would take a while. ---------- Mientus looked up at the sky. Flying towards him were his three perfect warriors. Still giggling, he couldn't believe that they were under his complete control. As the three landed in front of Mientus, Goku, Gohan, and Goten were still disturbed that they were not permitted to end the lives of Piccolo and Trunks. "You three look distracted. What is wrong?" "Master," Goku spoke, "Why were we not allowed to end the lives of those pathetic fighters?" "Because they are as you said, PATHETIC. Those fighters didn't stand a chance against you three anyway. Besides, you'll probably see them again, but the outcome will still be the same. There is no one alive that can defeat my warriors!!!" Gohan, Goten, and Goku smiled when Mientus said this. They knew that he was telling the truth. His words made them want to reveal their true power even more. "What are your orders, Master?" Gohan asked obediently. "Oh yes, the three of you will begin a search of the entire planet. There is an artifact here that is very old. It resembles a Dragonball, but it is in the shape of a pyramid. It is approximately six inches tall and made of onyx, which means it's soild black except for three red lines on one of its sides. You three will scour the planet while I search mentally. If you find it, bring it to me immediately." The three saiyans looked at each other and nodded. The three then took off in three different directions. One was bound to find it sooner or later. ---------- Krillen, Tien, and Dende landed at the outskirts of what used to be Satan City. "Oh no." Krillen said as here sadly stared at the ruins of the city. "We'd better start looking," Tien said. "I'm sure we'll find both of them alive guys." The fighters began their search through the rubble. At first, the three searched only on the ground, in case Goku, Gohan, or Goten were still around. But after a few minutes, Tien took to the air and began surveying the debris. He flew around for a little while before he saw something. Tien was circling around an old movie theatre. From up there, he had seen patches of blue in the rubble. He landed and began scouring the area. After a few minutes of searching, Tien walked around a corner and saw a battered warrior. "KRILLEN .... DENDE!!! I FOUND TRUNKS!!" Tien raised his ki and Krillen and Dende quickly found his position. Tien then focused on Trunks, "Trunks, can you hear me? Hey, wake up man!" Tien turned to Dende and motioned for him to take over. Dende walked over to Trunks and knelt down beside him. The Guardian then placed his hand on the back of Trunks. Dende closed his eyes as the healing energy began flowing through the near-dead body of Trunks. "I'm surprised he still alive Tien. Hey, where's Piccolo?" Krillen spoke as he turned toward Tien. "I'm not sure," Tien responded. "I didn't see him while I was flying, but this is a big town. I am kinda worried about not sensing his power though, it must be very weak." Trunks' eyes opened as Dende completed the healing process. He stood up and looked down at the rejuvenated saiyan. Trunks was scanning the area as he picked himself off the ground. "Hey guys, thanks a lot. You didn't happen to see Piccolo, did you?" "No," answered Tien, "We found you first. Do you happen to know where-about he was fighting?" "Sorry Tien, All of us were all over the place just trying to keep up. Those three ran us ragged, especially Goten for me.... He's ascended to super saiyan 2." Trunks said as he lowered his head. Krillen looked with fear at Trunks. "Oh no," he thought to himself, "What are we going to do now? How will we ....." Krillen didn't finish that thought. The four friends flew over to Satan to see if he knew anything. "Excuse me Satan," Krillen spoke, "Have you seen our green friend anywhere?" "Yeah, he sent me to look for him (Pointing at Trunks) and the sin... uh, sin-zoo beans." "Uh, yeah, anyway where is he?" Krillen asked. "About a ten minute walk that way" Dende, Krillen and Tien took off immediately towards Piccolo. Trunks stayed behind for a moment to speak with Satan. "Mr. Satan, I'm sorry, but there are some things you need to know... Buu is no longer alive." Satan stumbled backwards, more scared for his own well being than his friend's death. "Oh no, who will protect me now?" He asked himself. "Who killed him?" "...Goku. He, Goten, and Gohan are under the control of a evil being." "Gohan!!! What about Videl? Is she okay?" "She's with my mom at the Capsule Corp. They'll be fine sir." Just then Vegeta landed a few meters away from the two men. His arrival caught Satan by surprise so he ran away, screaming like a schoolgirl. Satan had thought it was Goku, come back to kill him for taking the credit for defeating Cell. "TRUNKS!! Are you alright?!?!?" Vegeta asked as he landed. "Uh..., yeah dad. I'm fine now." Trunks said, a little confused by his father's sincerity. "Krillen, Tien and Dende went to heal Piccolo. We tried to stop them from destroying the city, but..." Trunks looks around at the devistated city and begins to mourn all of the people who were killed. "Goku even killed Buu, without breaking a sweat. And Goten ascended. Those three are just so strong father." "I know son, it will take everything we have to destroy them." "But dad, there?s another way. We have to go to New Namek, though" "Your mother informed me that the small space ship is ready to go, if there is another way, then we need to leave as soon as possible." Trunks thought to himself, "Whoa dad, what the heck is going on. Goku, Gohan, and Goten are all horrible, evil creatures, and you are becoming a ... nice guy. This is just too weird." ---------- King Kai paced up and down the hall as he waited for an audience with the Grand Kai. If the Z-Fighters were going to have to fight Goku and his sons, they would need everything they have and more. If he could convince the grand Kai to allow a few fighters to help them, then there might be hope left. He stopped pacing when a huge door opened, revealing the Grand Kai's office. As he stepped in, King Kai saw that the Grand Kai had already assembled a team. "Grand Kai, I need to .. huh?! Who are these people?" "Come on North Kai, I've been sensing everything that?s going on. It's a shame about Goku, he was a valiant fighter. But to fight the best, you need the best. Here are the best fighters on my planet. I believe you've already met Pikkon. I think that he will be one of the few who is capable of going toe-to-toe with Goku." "I just can't believe what has happened. Goku was a righteous warrior. It will be a difficult battle." Pikkon clenched his fists as he spoke. "Next is a warrior that was in hibernation when we had our last tournament. He is also from the West Quadrant. His name is Adaku and he is from planet Teramoer." A muscular man stepped forward. King Kai looked up at the fighter and wondered what would've happened if he HAD been in that tournament. The creature stood seven feet tall and had an intimidating appearance. He wore two spiked bands that went up his torso and down his back (similar to Panthro in Thundercats - rock on!) that attached to the black trunks he was wearing. His legs were covered by a short dark orange fur that ended at his shoulders, but covered his arms as well. Stripes were seen all over the fur, resembling the coat of a tiger. A V-shape came down from his shoulders to his breastplate and did the same on his back; a short black fur covered him above the "V". His solid black pupils rested in the middle of his orange eyes. His face was more similar to a cat than a man, but his intelligence was through the roof. His shoulder length hair was also orange with stripes flowing down it. "I know Mientus..." Adaku spoke. "He destroyed my home, and ended my life through trickery. I will defeat him. The others are NOT my concern. His goal is what it has always been: The Gate of Juricak. If it is unsealed, a realm of darkness will invade our universe. And I will stop him." The Grand Kai spoke, "The Gate of Juricak, hmmm. That IS understandable, considering that Mientus is supposedly from the same bloodline as the Magstadt. If they are freed, then ten thousand years of darkness will rule all four Quadrants. This must not be allowed to happen." The Grand Kai cleared his throat and preceded to the final fighter, a beautiful woman who looked too frail to be a fighter. "Finally, we have Baus. She is from the South Quadrant. She has just arrived here, but she is incredibly strong. Baus hails from the planet Aurora, and she will be a great addition to the team." Baus was a stunningly beautiful woman who was very muscular yet petite and toned. She had long flowing red hair that went halfway down her back and a light blue skin complexion. She wore a tight, dark-green sleeveless shirt along with black fighting pants and black boots. Her pupils were a green-blue color that was similar to the super saiyans. "I will not let you down Grand Kai. The beast will be destroyed." "They will be under your command North Kai. Since this is happening in your quadrant, I thought it would be fitting for you to command the retaliation." "Thank you Grand Kai. I will not let you down." King Kai spoke as he bowed to the Grand Kai. He then stood and left the room, accompanied by the three warriors. "This might actually work," he thought to himself. "I just hope we're strong enough." ---------- Vegeta and Trunks left Satan to check on Piccolo. When they found the others, Dende had just finished healing him. As Piccolo stood up, he looked at the destruction that they had caused. "No...," sighed Piccolo, "We have to get to New Namek fast. There has to be a way to cancel out this wish." "Bulma told me that the small ship is ready to leave," Vegeta answered. "I believe that Piccolo and two others should leave now. Trunks and I will stay and protect the planet from those three." "No Vegeta, this is a trip that you must make." "Who is that?!?!" Vegeta demanded. "It is I, Vegeta, King Kai. And I have some good news. The Grand Kai is allowing me to send three warriors to help you out. We will be arriving on Earth as soon as all of you return to the others. Vegeta, Trunks and Tien will accompany the one of the warriors to New Namek. Piccolo you will remain on Earth and help the other two defend it. I have also contacted Ubuu. Everyone will be meeting at the Capsule Corp. so I suggest you all leave now." Vegeta protested, "Why should we do it your way? I need to be here to fight Kakarot!!! Those other fighters have no idea what will happen to them." "VEGETA!! Listen to me. You need to learn to control your new powers. That can only be accomplished if you go to New Namek. If you don't go and you fight Goku, you will fight bravely, but you will lose. Besides, the process to void a wish is extremely dangerous. Being our strongest fighter, we will need you there if this is going to work." Vegeta sighed and finally agreed with King Kai. "Well, at least I'll have a chance to whip those two into shape." Vegeta said smiling at Trunks and Tien. "Well, come on. We have to leave now." The Z-Fighters nodded at each other and left the ruined city. They now had a plan, and hopefully it will work. He looked down at the vast forest, wondering how long this search would take. He flew past the outskirts of the forest and saw a small village. "Perfect," he thought. "Maybe one of the villagers knows where this thing is." Gohan landed in the center of town and called out to the villagers. They slowly began showing up until everyone was outside, standing around Gohan. "Ladies and Gentlemen. I am on a journey. I am looking for an onyx pyramid with three red lines on it. Have any of you seen this item?" Everyone in the crowd shook their head as they had absolutely no idea what he was talking about. Gohan sighed, "It's very important. I must know where it is." "I'm sorry, sonny." an old man responded, "You see, we're just simple people. We don't have any idea what the heck you're looking for." Gohan frowned while crossing his arms and said, "FINE!! If that?s the way you want it, then none of you are any use to me!!" He floated up about a hundred feet into the air, looking down at the village. Gohan extended his left arm and opened his palm, gathering energy for an attack. The villagers became uneasy when they saw that the man was flying. Gohan screamed as he released the energy wave. When it connected, a gigantic explosion occurred, releasing a shockwave that decimated the entire village. Nothing was left when the dust cleared. Gohan scoffed at the weakness of the villagers and left for the next village, hoping that they would be more helpful. ---------- Krillen, Tien, Piccolo, Trunks, Vegeta, and Dende were landing at the Capsule Corporation when they sensed the blast caused by Gohan. Piccolo frowned as he thought about his friend performing such a violent act. "He's not supposed to be like this!!" Piccolo thought as he clenched his right fist. "He was the most good-hearted individual I've ever known ... But now,... he's nothing but a monster." Piccolo continued to show his anger as he gritted his teeth. Then something unexpected happened. Vegeta walked up to Piccolo and placed his hand on his shoulder. Piccolo saw this and looked suprisingly at the saiyan prince. Vegeta gave the Namek a sympathetic smile, patted him on the shoulder, and walked into the main Capsule building. Piccolo, along with everyone else, stood speechless, gawking at Vegeta as he walked away. "Man, this is getting really weird. Does anyone know what's up with Vegeta?" Krillen asked. "I'm not sure, Krillen," replied Trunks. "He's been acting kind of weird for a while, but not this bad. It's like he's not himself." "You're right Trunks," Piccolo thought to himself. "He seems to be acting more like ... Goku." Piccolo shrugged it off and turned to the other fighters, "Let's go inside," Piccolo suggested. "We need to prepare for the trip to New Namek." The others nodded in agreement and all of the fighters walked into the main building. Before they entered, a tremendous power entered the area. The fighters braced themselves, but were relieved to find out that it was Ubuu. He joined them as they proceeded into the building. Inside, Everyone was waiting for the returning warriors. As the six men entered the cargo bay, the others, who had been waiting patiently, greeted them. Bulma looked at her son and ran to him, "I'm so glad you're not hurt. I was so worried about you." As soon as she spoke she realized that Chichi was behind her. Chichi sobbed quietly to herself until Yamcha put his arm around her shoulder and took her to the next room. "She's been crying all day, but she has a lot to cry about." Master Roshi said as he walked up to the six fighters. There was a brief moment of silence until Roshi spoke again, "So, what's the plan?" Suddenly, King Kai materialized in front of everyone. After a few moments, his three fighters appeared directly behind him. The Z-Fighters looked at their reinforcements, wondering if they were strong enough. Pikkon walked forward to stand in front of Piccolo. "I've heard a lot about you Piccolo. I'm Pikkon and this is Adaku and Baus. Adaku and I will assist you in defending this planet. Baus will be the one that accompanies the others to New Namek." Piccolo grinned at Pikkon. "Something tells me that you and I will get along just fine, Pikkon." Bulma stared at the newly arrived fighters, speechless, until King Kai approached her, "You are Bulma, correct?" "Oh, yes sir." "Good, is the ship ready?" "Yes it is. I've made some special modifications after I finished preping it. The trip should only take a few days now." "Excellent, Bulma." King Kai then cleared his throat and everyone grew silent. "The purpose of this meeting is to coordinate our efforts into two fronts. Please hold all questions until I'm finished. The first team will travel to New Namek and contact Guru. He will assist you in canceling out the wish. Vegeta, Trunks, Tien, and Baus will be traveling to New Namek. The second team will try to keep the saiyan trio from finding the Third Juricak Pyramid. The pyramids are keys for the Gate of Juracik, and one of them is on Earth. If it is opened, then an unstoppable evil will be unleashed on our universe for ten thousand years, so your job is extremely important. Now, any questions?" "What the heck is all this Juricak stuff?!?!" Krillen asked nervously. "A long time ago, the universe was plagued by darkness," explained King Kai. "A society called the Magstadt Empire ruled during this time with a iron fist. Hope was non-existent at this time in the universe. That is, until people began to control their spiritual energy. Through this, the Kai's were first formed. Together, with the help of a brave warrior named Jonhua Juricak, we were able to seal up the Magstadt Empire in a different dimension, behind the Gate of Juricak, which got it's name because Jonhua valiently sacrificed his own life to ensure that they were trapped forever. The four keys for the gate were placed in four different planets in the Four Quadrants. Mientus already has the key from the West Quadrant and the East Quadrant. That is why we must stop him now. If he opens the gate, darkness will reign for another ten thousand years. Any other questions?" "If the gate was open, couldn't we just fight the Magstadt?" Piccolo asked. "No, Piccolo, the Magstadt are a dark spiritual race that can invade your body and take over your will," King Kai answered. "Their dark ways would infect generations for eons until the spirits of light could begin to resist their influence." Everyone stared at King Kai for a minute, speechless from what they had just heard. Vegeta then broke the silence. "How long will they be able to stay?" Vegeta asked, pointing to the new fighters. "When Kakarot returned years ago, he was only given one day." "These fighters have been given free passage by the Grand Kai." King Kai replied. "They will be able to fight as long as they can or until it is over." Baus looked at the all of the Z-Fighters, attempting to determine their strengths. Then, she glanced at Tien. Her jaw dropped as she focused on him. Tien noticed that the beautiful warrior was staring at him and began to feel uneasy. "Ummm, hello?" Tien asked. "You!" Baus said, pointing at Tien, "You're a Zantout, are you not?" "Huh?" "You look like you are a Zantoutian, a race from the South Quadrant. If you are, then you must have incredible power." Tien blushed and the frowned, "No... I'm nothing compared to the saiyans. Human's just can't increase their power as easily as they can." "Well, we have a couple of days to train before we arrive at New Namek. By then I'll be sure to show you what you are truely capable of doing. Okay?" "Umm, sure!?" Tien said, blushing again. Vegeta cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. "Bulma, is the ship ready for departure?" "Yes, Vegeta. Everything has been taken care of." "Good, we must leave now. Trunks, Tien, and Baus, say your goodbyes, we leave for New Namek." Vegeta walks over to the fighters who will remain on Earth. "Piccolo, Ubuu, Adaku, and Pikkon. Good luck to all of you." "Same to you Vegeta." Piccolo answered. Vegeta nodded and walked over to Bulma who was saying goodbye to Trunks. Trunks finished his goodbyes and waited by the ship. "Bulma, I will see you soon. Be sure that you get that other ship ready as soon as possible. Sorry, I was a little hard on it while I was training." Bulma began crying and threw here arms around her husband. "Be careful Vegeta. I don't want to lose you like Chichi lost Goku." Vegeta embraced his wife for a minute and then softly pushed her away. He smiled at her as he boarded the ship, followed by the others. The four warriors secured themselves for take-off and readied the ship. Everyone else left the bay and moved to the control room. When it couldn't be seen, action started in the cargo bay. Bulma worked hard to prepare the larger shuttle for launch. She figured that it would take her about a day to be ready to launch. Meanwhile, Piccolo, Pikkon, Adaku, and Ubuu were discussing a battle plan. "Right now, we know that the three of them are separated while they look for the Juricak Pyramind." Piccolo said, providing strategical information to the others. "If we attack Goten or Gohan, Goku can use his instant transmission and be there in a matter of moments, which would be a bad thing. If we attack Goku first, there would only be one opponent, but it would be Goku! So what are we to do?" "Where is Mientus?" Adaku asked. "We believe that he is still in the forest to the North, correct Piccolo?" answered King Kai. "Yes, but we cannot destroy him until we void his wishes." Piccolo responded. "If Goku, Gohan, and Goten were allowed to roam free, without anyone controling them, the results could be catastrophic." "Then what are we to do King Kai?" Ubuu demanded. "I'm not quite sure, Ubuu." answered King Kai. ---------- The ship has broken through the atmosphere and is now flying through the calmness of space. The four warriors have unstrapped themselves and are checking out the ship. Trunks sees the gravity room and notices its size. "Not very big, huh. It looks like only two people could spar in there comfortably." Vegeta responds, "Well then, thats what we will have to do, Trunks. You and I will team up and Tien and Baus will be partners. We will have twelve hour training days. When one pair trains, the other pair rests or meditates. We only have a week, so we need to get started." "Sounds good to me," Baus replied. "You two can start first. Tien and I will take over in twelve hours." Vegeta and Trunks nodded and stepped into the gravity room. Vegeta walked to the console and turned the machine on. The generator hummed as the gravity gauge on the side of the wall lit up. Trunks walked over to it and began turning the nob. He stopped it at one hundred and fifty times gravity. The generator hummed louder as the weight upon the two fighters was greatly increased. "I figure that this will make for a good warm-up," Trunks said. Vegeta smiled at his son and began stretching. Trunks looked around the room. It was completely isolated from the rest of the ship. The only windows were those that showed the deep space outside the ship. There was no area for Tien and Baus to look through, so all training would be confidential. "Father," Trunks said. "I want to become a super saiyan 2, and you are going to get me there. Understood." Vegeta smiled as he got in a fighting stance. "Good Trunks," he thought to himself. "We're going to need you stronger than you've ever been. I just hope that I'll be able to harness the true power that resides in me." ---------- Goku yawned as he continued his search for the Juracik Pyramid. "This is ridiculous," Goku said outloud. "I've already destroyed six villages, three towns, and a city. Where the heck is this thing? Ugh, and I'm soooo hungry!" (sigh) "Look another town, maybe they'll have it." Goku said sarcasticly. Goku flew down to the village and approached an old man. He tapped him on the shoulder a few times and the old man turned around. "Yes, sonny. What can I do for you?" "Do you own this restaurant?" Goku asked. "Oh yes sir, what can I get for you?" "All of your food, NOW!!" Goku demanded. "Do it or I'll destroy you and your restaurant." "I don't take threats lightly, you bully!" The old man shouted. "Just leave me alone!!" Goku tilted his head as he looked at the man. He then shot out his arm and plunged it into the chest of a man who was just walking by. Goku, never taking his eyes off the old man softly spoke, "You were saying, you old coot. NOW MAKE ME MY DINNER, OR ELSE!!" The old man cried as he ran inside to make Goku's dinner. Goku laughed as the people screamed around him. "I definitely am enjoying this whole evil thing," Goku thought to himself as he walked up to a young woman and snatched the apple she had been eating. As he gulped the apple in one bite, Goku shot a glance into the distant horizon. "What the HELL is he doing here!!" Goku said as the crowd cowered at his feet. "I wonder what he has up his sleeve. Maybe its time I paid them a visit." Saying this, Goku placed his index and middle finger on his forehead and disappeared in front of their eyes. He reappeared in front of the Capsule Corp. He walked inside, unnoticed, and leaned against a wall, hiding in the shadows. "I don't understand," Pikkon stated. "Goku is strong, but the four of us should be able to handle him without any problems. So, why don't we just find him and attack? Once he's gone, the other two should be no problem." "YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!! Goku has increased his power greatly since you two last fought," Piccolo replied. "Trust me, Goku is too much for us to handle at this time." "I couldn't agree with you more, Piccolo." Everyone except Adaku and Pikkon froze when they heard that voice. Piccolo stood staring into nowhere as fear swept through his body. He turned around and saw Goku walking out of the shadows. "Well, well, what do we have here?" Goku asked slyly. "It looks like some sort of counter strike. Eh, King Kai." He walks up to Adaku, staring him right in the eyes. He then turns to King Kai while saying, "Cat got your tounge, teacher. You, of all people. If you weren't already dead, I'd break your neck." Goku now had an almost psychotic tone to his voice. He walked over to the remaining Z-Fighters and smiled at them. Chichi exited the room she had been crying in and saw her husband. Her tears of sorrow turned into tears of joy as she ran to Goku. "GOKU!! I new it was just a misunderstanding!" She threw her arms around him and hugged him tightly. Goku stood still and then looked down at his wife. "You ..." he said sympatheticly, almost like his old self. Everyone gasped with hope as they thought the sight of his wife would bring him back to normal. Only one person seemed to notice how tightly his hands were clenched. Then that evil smile appeared on his face again. "...Are my next victim." He pulled his fist back and threw it at his wife. She looked at him, mortified, and then calmly closed her eyes. The punch was within an inch of her face and then there was nothing. Goku looked around to see what had just happened. To his left was Adaku, holding Chichi in his arms, looking at Goku with disdain. "You should either fight or leave, you monster." Angrily, Goku looked as if he was preparing to strike, but he then straightened himself and focused on King Kai. "I have more pressing matters to attend to, but trust me, you haven't seen the last of me yet. And You," he said, looking at Adaku, "You and I will meet each other again. I guarantee it." Goku placed his fingers on his head and teleported away. The Z-Fighters let out a sigh of relief when he left. "Well," King Kai said, breaking the silence, "That was sure intense." Vegeta began the session by charging Trunks. His son dodged the initial punch by swaying to the left, but was then subjected to a kick from Vegeta's left foot that connected with his ribs. Trunks let the momentum of the attack carry him to Vegeta's side, where he landed a punch to his father's arm. Vegeta spun around and kick again, but this time, his attack was blocked by Trunks right arm. He then threw a punch to Vegeta's face, but it was blocked as well. The two then began punching at each other with blinding speed. Neither one was able to capitalize on an attack. Trunks then jabbed at Vegeta's chest, only to have his fist caught by his father. Vegeta smiled as he pulled Trunks body towrds him and slammed his knee into his son's stomach. This gave him the opportunity to strike Trunks in the back with an elbow. Trunks screamed as Vegeta did not stop, further digging his elbow into Trunks' back. The young saiyan had had enough and began summoning his power. Vegeta was forced to end his attacks as he was blown back by his son's energy. "So I guess the warm-up is over, huh Trunks." Vegeta said, smiling at his son. "Lets go dad. I need to increase my power and we don't have much time to do it." "Very well, Trunks." Vegeta exhaled deeply as he pulled his elbows into his body, keeping his forearms in a perpendicular position. He clenched his fists and arched his back forward, as if he was going to ball up his body. Letting out a low hum, he pulled his arms above his head and screamed as he became a super saiyan. Still staring at Trunks, he said, "Fine son, you're right. Enough of this foolishness, it's time to get seroius." Having said that, Vegeta attacked Trunks again, and proceeded to crush his son. ---------- Tien and Baus sat in the cockpit, looking out into space. This was Tien's first trip into outer space and he was actually a little excited. He looked at Baus, who seemed lost in the vasness of space. He stared at her, realizing exactly how beautiful she is. "How can I spend the next week training with her," Tien thought to himself. "She's so pretty and strong ... and I'm just a weakling." Tien started to get angry when Baus turned to him. "Tien, what is your earliest memory?" she asked. "Um, that would be training under Tsuru Sennin, my first martial arts instructor. I really can't remember what happened before that." "Thats what I figured. Tien, I'm willing to bet that you aren't a human. Especially with your third eye. That is the trademark of the Zantoutians. I truely believe that you are one of them, and that you are not as weak as you think you are. You just need to be trained properly." "I've always questioned my background, but there was never anyone who could answer me. I'm glad I met you Baus. I think that you will be responsible for me reaching a new evolution in my life." Baus blushed as she looked out the window. "Tien," she thought, "after all this time, we finally meet at last. My prayers have at last been answered." She smiled and closed her eyes, resting until they would enter the gravity room. ---------- Goku tears through the abandoned tower. Although no one is there, he thought that the pryamid might be at Kame's Lookout. Finishing his search, Goku is upset when he finds nothing. "Darn!" He says outloud, "I thought for sure it would've been here. Oh well, at least I can take something precious away from those pitiful fighters." He floats above the lookout and extends his arms, hands clasped together. A small ball of energy begins to form in his palms and grows to an enormous size. He flashes a smile before it is unleashed, landing directly on top of the tower. A mushroom cloud forms as the blast destroys the top of the lookout. When the dust clears, what remains of the tower begins to crumble. Below the lookout, Korin braces himself as his home begins to fall apart. Yoshirobi looks on with fear as he sees who is responsible for the attack. Goku floats down and laughs at his two former friends. "Hello and ...GOODBYE!!" Goku yells. He straightens his arm, palm out, with another ki ball ready to fire. The two stare at Goku, unable to move as the energy attack hits Korin's place. Goku flys away as the two are desintigrated, laughing at what he had just done. ---------- Dende screams as he senses what just happened. The others look at him curiously, until Piccolo bows his head, mourning the two dead friends. "Korin, Yoshirobi ... no!" Piccolo says as the others realize what had just occured. Krillen clenches his fist, angrily, "This .. is .... insane! What are we supposed to do now?!" Everyone remains silent, even Adaku and Pikkon, until Piccolo straightens himself. He looks at the others and then looks at King Kai. "We fight! No more planning, no more strategy. Its time we showed these saiyans what we can do!" Dripping with sweat and blood he breathes heavily, still trying to keep his guard up in the two hundred and fifty gravity environment. Trunks hears something behind him and turns around to see nothing. He then whips his head around to look in another direction. Unable to find his father, he grows impatient and begins to lose his focus. "Quit guessing, Trunks!" Vegeta yells at his son, "You need to learn to focus not only you energy, but your instincts as well. Stop concentrating on where I am and try to figure out where I'm going." Trunks remains still, attempting to sense his father. Vegeta increases the speed of his movement, not wanting to give away anything to his son. Trunks did not move, floating in mid-air in a guarded fighting position. He then opened his eyes and flew to his right, extending his left elbow at the same time. He was somewhat surprised when his attack connected with Vegeta's crossed arms, blocking the attack. Vegeta smiled at his son and then threw a left hook at Trunks' head. Trunks ducked and swept at his father's feet. Vegeta jumped and did a 180-degree front flip and landed behind the younger saiyan. Trunks planted his hands on the ground and attempted to drive his feet into his father's back. His attack went through Vegeta's after image, leaving his mid-section unguarded. Vegeta pounced like a tiger at his son's mistake, connecting a full extension kick into Trunks' chest. In a moment, Trunks' body slammed against the wall of the gravity room, echoing the thud throughout the ship. "Whoa! I'm not sure what that was," Tien said, "but I betting it had to hurt." Baus looked in the direction of the gravity room and nodded. "Wow, and that's his son, right? I wonder what he would do to someone he hates." Trunks fell to the ground, landing unconscious. Vegeta picked up his son and placed him over his shoulder. He then turned off the gravity generator and walked back into the main hall. Tien and Baus were standing outside the gravity room, wanting to see what had happened. Vegeta looked at the two and then preceded to the ship's med-lab, where he could put Trunks in the rejuvenation chamber. As he walked away, the saiyan said, "We are finished for the day, it is now your turn." The two warriors smiled at each other and entered into the gravity room. ---------- Goku appears in front of Mientus, catching his master off guard. The sudden appearance of his slave causes him to lose his balance an fall down. "HOW DID YOU JUST APPEAR LIKE THAT?!?! ANSWER ME SLAVE!!" "Sir, it is called Instant Transmission. As long as I can focus my energy on a specific energy signature, I can instantly move there." "Impressive ... but why did you come here?" "Sir, the North Kai is here." "WHAT?!?! HOW CAN THIS BE?!?! No, no, no, this cannot be happening. I only have two of the pyramids. I am not ready to deal with the Kai's just yet. Was he alone?" "No sir, two warriors were with him, along with the other fighter Piccolo. I do not know where Trunks or Vegeta is. I cannot sense them anywhere." "DESTROY THEM!!! ALL OF THEM!! I WANT NO RESISTANCE ANY LONGER. I WILL CONTINUE THE QUEST FOR THE PYRAMID, YOU JUST HANDLE THESE METTLERS!! UNDERSTAND?!?!" "Yes sir, it will be done." Goku placed his two fingers on his forehead and vanished from Mientus' sight. Mientus smiled after seeing his slave's ability and thought to himself, "Goku, I might just keep you around after we achieve our goal. You could prove to be quite useful." ---------- All four Kais were on the Grand Kai's planet, arguing as usual. As the Grand Kai tried to monitor the discussion, the four Kais were more inclined to talk of each other's faults then the matter at hand. Currently, the West Kai was critizing King Kai's division of the fighters, while the South and East Kai disagreed about the timing of the attacks. "What do you think you're doing? How could you put Pikkon AND Adaku against Goku? Everyone knows my Pikkon or Adaku could easily take care of that weakling." the West Kai bragged. "Apparently someone wasn't thinking, hmmmm?" "Would you just SHUT UP!!" yelled King Kai. "Trust me, we're going to need everything we've got against those three saiyans." "What about the timing? Seems a little too soon for me." the East Kai added. "Are you kidding, should we just wait until Mientus has all the pyramids before we make our move?!?!" blurted the South Kai. "Please everyone, listen to me!" the Grand Kai interrupted. "Now, I put the North Kai in charge for a reason, so everyone will get their orders from him, understood?" "Yes, sir" they all said. "Okay, now that that is settled, what about lunch?" All four Kais fall down with their legs in the air, rubbing their heads. As they tried to get up, the Grand Kai added, "Okay then, how about brunch?" The four Kais again fell over. ---------- Baus and Tien entered the gravity room. Tien walked over to the generator and prepared to turn it on. Baus walked up to him and placed her hand on his, stopping him from activating the generator. "Tien," she spoke, "I want to know how strong you are before we train. I realize that you are not even close to your potential, but I must feel your energy signature to confirm my beliefs." Nodding, Tien stepped away from the generator and began to focus his energy. A white wall of energy formed around him, extending from the floor to his shoulders. As it started spinning, Tien clenched his fists and pulled his arms to his sides, bending his elbows. He let out a low moan that grew louder as he summoned his power. His ki danced around him as the wall increased in size. He shot his arms out, still bending his elbows, and began to scream. As his screams died down, the wall of ki disappeared and Tien was then surrounded by a pulsating white aura. He looked at Baus, who was staring at him with her arms crossed, and turned away from shame. He knew his power was nothing compared to hers. "As I thought, you are a Zantoutian. Your energy signature confirms it. Do not hang you head in shame, Tien. Now, you will finally understand what you are and what you are capable of." Tien looked at her with doubt in his eyes, yet for some reason, he believed every word she said. She took his hand and led him to the open area of the room. The two sat in meditation stance as she began to coach him on releasing his true power. "Close your eyes, Tien, and clear your mind. Think of nothing but the sound of my voice and the words that I speak. Tien, the reason that you are unable to increase your strength is because you did not go through the Ritual of Power. Currently, your strength is still in its infancy, like a child that never went through puberty. The ritual matures your strength, mind, and body.
