i'm not sure if you all have seen this but i thought i might post it anyway, it's from gamepro.com

PlayStation 2 owners will also get a taste of the Dragon Ball Z action in the fall of this year. This version, though, will be completely different from the Nintendo games.

Rinde explains, ?The level of complexity will be much different than in the GameCube game. The universe will be much bigger, it won?t be part of a trilogy, and it will have its own story line. It will be an action/adventure game with a significant number of fighting elements.?

Like the GameCube version, the PS2 title will have over 30 playable characters, but it certainly won?t be just a one-player game. Plans so far call for a multiplayer brawl, arena style. Rinde hopes that once Sony finalizes its online strategy (meaning a network that actually exists), the game will support between six to eight players duking it out at the same time. The game will also support multiplayer havoc offline, as well.

Interesting, your response close to mirrors that shown in GamePro's March 2002 edition. Yes, this is true, and I, for one, am very excitied. The delaying has only made the suspense so much greater, and it will do much of a number in sales when it hits stores this Fall. As Herman says, Otaku has been discussing the Playstation 2 version for quite some time. However, I do not think it will hurt to devote a topic to the PS2 title, which I believe has only been introduced in threads about other Dragonball Z games. I, and hopefully other fans, am concerned about exactly what sagas will be premiering in the game. Perhaps, if the entire series is not completed, they might create a sequal, but I am only promoting that idea if the game turns out good. Right now it sounds great, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. The set-up of graphics, the voices, and even shortcuts the programers may take through the sagas could make the game just that much worse.

What systems are that dragonball games coming out for??? And what are they fighting or rpg???
From what has been said, there are planned Dragonball Z games for each system, but that doesn't mean that some may not go into effect. The GameCube Dragonball Z game is said to be a link-up to the last game in the triligy of those coming to the GameBoy Advance, meaning this will be of the last sagas. The DBZ game coming to the PS2, however, has not specifically stated which sagas will be airing, but I am hoping that they can fit them all in one with the DVD formating. The most unlikely of the three systems to recieve a DBZ game is XBox. It has been explained that the hardware is not suitable to play games such as DBZ, but I am not quite sure what that means.

The games will undoubtably be RPG, which you should have picked up on when you read the opening paragraphs to this thread. There might be one game that would be developed in fighting style, and that is the rumored Dragonball vs. SNK (or Capcom).

lets just hope the game is nothing like DB final bout....
Heh, I actually liked that game. It was a fighting game, so obviously it would not have any affect on this RPG game, hence you have not to worry.

Will it reach UK stores though?
It most likely will hit UK stores. A lot of previously made games never even made it out of Japan, so when they release them to other countries, you can bet America will not be the only one. However, there will probably be a delay, as shown on many other games. But it's not like you can actually do anything about that anyway.

when you get to the page, just click on the link at the bottem of it, it should say something like, see images, media ect..... something like that, but like i said before, the videos arn't very good, they have more scenes from the show than from the actual game.

Geez, Id have to say, I dont like dragonball games in the form of beat 'em ups, especially after final bouts performance! I was expecting a more rpg style format, those work really well. The beat 'em up looks really lame, lack of detail, and the in game story line wont work, I know that.

It would make up for its losses if it stretched beyond the furiza saga, and the large variety of characters sounds good.

I guess I can only judge this game by playing it.....
