IC: The Insectoids flew at high speed, as the guards and Ken prepared their weapons. Carrot unsheated his sword. Rajaah stood in a fighting stance, and Nightfire appeared into view. Without warning, an Insectoid knocked Carrot. Right before it killed him, a ball of energy destroyed it. Ken-They like to surround their prey! Watch your back at all times! Carrot-:smirk: No problem! Oh, well, helping out in a fight never hurt anyone...well, maybe the one we're fighting against....[/I] She was surprized when something quick and buzzing nearly knocked her down. [I]Honestly, I should watch out a bit more... [/I] What seemed to be a long stinger wizzed by her ear. A second came , she dogged that one just as swiftly. Mumbling under her breath- there's so meny of them...Where did they all come from? The next one that came lost it's stomach as well as it's wings to a set of powerful jaws, but it's stinger was just able to make it past her defences and grazed her sholder. [I]Ek, hopefully that didn't get in to deep.[/I] One came from behind. Big mistake. The last thing that one saw was a two sets of teeth, then blackness. Carrot-Stop it! This is no time for us to fight each other! Nightfire-:flaming: This is not your problem! Now get out of my way! Carrot-It [B]is[/B] my problem, like it or not! If we aren't at full strenght, the Insectoids will kill us easily! Nightfire, still angry, walked away from the guards, who were still shocked from her reaction. Carrot then walked towards Ken, and whispered to him. Carrot-If something doesn't happen soon, there will probably be a fight, and not between us and the Insectoids... The other humans and Nightfire follow behind him while Tristan stands there ever so still, watching thier reactions. Ken runs out of the cave looking outward at a small band of his men very much so still alive. Rajaah is leading them to the cave carrying two on his back one with a bad leg injury and the other knocked out from the pain by the looks of it. Ken looks over at Rajaah with a very thankful look on his face having earlier thought maybe he had failed to save them. The other humans run over to their fallen comrades and begin to help them to the cave while Rajaah gently places the injured man to the ground for help and passes the unconscious man to Ken. >> Ken: "Thank so much Rajaah" << sharply nods to him gratefully >> Rajaah: << Looking pale nods back to him >> "Your welcome" << Rajaah slowly begins to walk in the cave limping ever so painfully, bleeding as he enters. One of Ken's men walk over to him and offer to aid him but he simply shakes his head and tells him, "I'll be fine ? anyway you should be helping your friends." >> Tristan: << nods to him as he passes >> whispering to himself --- "he is the one from the razor back tribe" << Grins >> "Perfect."
