It's just a poll I was interested in finding out, heh.... as for me, I still loved obwakuboards version 2, ah the sweet sweet memories, the wars, the members, my rise to fame, james and I as tag team admin champs, lol.... James Posted May 1, 2002 Share Posted May 1, 2002 [color=royalblue]I liked V2 a lot. Ahh the memories... But V2 ended in a nasty way. V3 was a fresh start for all...and a big change in software too. V4 was a personal dissappointment. Sure, I liked it...but not enough went into it. Overall, I'm personally most pleased with V5. V5 is definitely my redemption for V4...lol But V2 holds the fondest memories for me so far. It's where I really started becoming more involved with our boards (prior to V2, I was only working for theOtaku...I never got involved on the boards). It's always good to look back on the different versions though. For a mere message board...OtakuBoards has quite a colourful history. I joined like, right during the "Hump Era," so it was a little chaotic at first, but after things settled down I had a lot of fun. Basically, I made up the most god awful name I could think of (being unique is cool though) and posted a bunch of silly things. Telling jokes was kinda fun and the MASTERdeBATORS stuff took off a little more than I thought it would. Once and a while I would post something "intelligent" but most of my time I was a little arrogant. I remember I had a pretty long feud with Altron Gundam just over who knew more about DBZ, lol. I made some neat friends though like Foredaddy and Galaxy Girl (both of whom are around rarely now adays). At least Seph's still around, though I haven't gotten around to talking to him on AIM yet. :confused: Boy, did I get away with a lot back then though. I remember I made a topic in general discussion called, "The boards are being taken over and I mean now!" Basically it was about mutant, ear raping monkeys from outer space that were protectable against coconut ear muffs. Yeah, it was kinda hilarious, but I guess it was a little pointless and really didn't get me across as an intelligent person much. Oh man, I even had my first accidental run in with James in the Nintendo forum. Keep in mind I was fairly arrogant still. I figured I'd make a post about how bad GameCube is gonna be and such, and people wouldn't have anything useful to say. Needless to say, I got a mouthful, heh. Ah well, definitely the version 2 'tak.
