Guest Saiyangohan2002
I have been watching the French presidential election with some curiosity. and about his guy called Le Pen. if the country REALLY hates him this much, the how come he's the runner-up to Chirac. He calls the holocaust a detail of history, If he's such a French advocate he would know than the Nazis tried to invade France(or they did) Im sure we have the next Hitler, or Taleban if hes voted in what do u think? Guest Matt
I don't like that guy. I was shocked when he refered to the Holocoust as a "detail of history". He doesn't like immagrants. he only wants french people in france. he is sounding like another hitler. there was a protest to day with his supporters. he worries me. we are so focused on the middle east, we could let him rise in power and not even notice. that is, if he gets elected.
James
I don't think Le Penn will be elected to the Presidency, but there was one thing I really didn't like... All those people who protested/rioted in the streets upon hearing the result. If he'd put himself there, then that's terrible...but if people have freely voted for him...well, that's no reason to riot. lol Sure, I don't think many people like this guy...and I don't think people voted for him because they love his policies. They voted because they wanted the current beaurocracy to wake up and realize that it's not in touch with voters.
Zidargh
Oh god, I dont want anything to occur, rise to presidency? I really hope not. But we cannot let our guard down either way.
Boba Fett
If he gets elected (which I am sure he wont!!) I will not be happy to say the least. He is anti semitic and not somebody who should run ANY country
Justin
I haven't been paying attention to the News recently, but this guy DOES sounds pretty not-nice... But...it would take a lot to make "the next Hitler." I doubt he's THAT bad. -Justin
BlueGender
Maybe he does have the working of the next Hitler theirfore he will probabally be watched closely by the American and British Government and if he trys anything that even resembles what Hitler has done I am sure one of the two governments will be on him like white on rice. So I think that we shouldn't worry to much about the guy. Did he really say that thing about the holocost during the election...? If he did then he either has a bad nack at speech writing skills or he wants not to be elected.
Char!
This Le Pen guy sounds nuts. Then again, Hitler, Napoleon, Mussolini (sp?!?!), they all sounded nuts before they made their impact. Nobody expects these things to happen. Then they do.
Transtic Nerve
The guys an idiot and he'll never win... and if he does... the French should all be slapped int he face... because they would ruin everything.... I would sure hope the French are smarter than that....

All these "enemies" or whatever they are have very wierd names, especially Mussolini (sp?).... Though to tell you another thing, I've never heard of this "Le Pen" guy.... is he like a guy that the whole of France hates? Because that what I'm thinking from reading this thread.... Guest cloricus
you people must remember France only had a very small voter turn out for that 1st election thing how ever they do it, so more people will vote in the 2nd election thing and he "shouldn?t" be able to get in. and comparing him to the taliban is very unfair. you must remember that some countries expose their people to propaganda (eg America and others good and bad) so you can never really know what?s going on. but I don?t think he would be another Hitler, he doesn?t have the army and America and Briton and all the others don?t want ww3. you should be worrying about bush attacking Iraq because unlike the taliban they want be a push over! And I am in no way on the side of le pen. (in my opinion)

Of course Le Pen isn't literally like Hitler (in terms of army/defence and whatnot). But his ideals are very similar. Being traditionally right-wing, he wishes to isolate France -- to withdraw it from the European Union and to revert back to the Franc, despite the introduction of the Euro. He also wants to put in place very strict new refugee laws and such, which would significantly prohibit access to France. So people are referring to his politics, moreso than his actual physical actions or whatever.
Transtic Nerve
He's a strong nationalist. But in the wrong ways. By doing what he wants to do, he'll ruin the economy of France, he'll have them hated even more than they are now, and he'll turn them back into the 18th century. If they actually vote this guy in, the French deserve all they get.

Corey
The last thing this panic-stricken world needs is another communist in front of a large country. We already have to deal with the Taliban, and I have a feeling the Soviet Union will be showing up soon. I really know only what has been posted on this topic because I am a deprived cableT.V.-less adolecant but it all sounds like cr@p to me. If they hate him so much why even vote for him? Germany urged Hitler up because he knew how to prey on peoples fears. From what I have heard, France has no fears. Please correct me if I am mistaken. :demon: Knight Of The Dark Order :demon:

They simply aren't worth much but as a tourist location. I mean, they gave up in what... 6 days during WWII? They are weak when it comes to world power. Their majority of strength is in their allys, which if this idiot gets ellected, they probably won't have anymore. I certainly hope the french are smart enough not to put this guy in power, he will only ruin the country.

And the other wars...well, they didn't really take part... But they are worth MUCH more than a tourist location, TN. They have created some of the best minds around Henri Becquerel, and Pastor, and Eiffel.
ff X_Tidus
I dont like this guy at all, but for the likes of tony blairto tell the french not to vote for him means hes got more balls than brains, who is he to tell them that, its not our problem, or does he want to play hero like how he did with the situation in Afganistan. Just because Blair is English, dosent mean that he dosent have common sense enough to see that Le Pen is not a good person to run France.
