Shyness..... o.O;;

Now at the moment, I've been going to a new school for over a term now (something like 11 weeks).... Sure, I've met a heap of people, and talk to them, and all of that stuff, but I still have a thing going on...

At recess and lunch, all the people I know and talk to, go off to their own groups of friends, and I'm left here by myself (or as a "nigel" as some coolo's say).... I seem to have a great amount of "shyness" in me, and I can't just go up and blend in with other groups or anything.... though I am starting to find a group where I hang around with. :D

I'm just asking, is there anyone who has this shyness problem?

(No, you don't have to try and help me here, because I'm pretty sure as time comes and goes I'll find friends to hang around.....

And sorry, I can't think of any other word then "group"... :toothy: )

Well, when I was in Primary School (Elementary School for all you Americans and such), I did have this 'fitting in' kind of problem, and for some reason I couldn't really make myself go up to a group and join in that often. Sure, there was one group I fitted in with well, but there were times when I just didn't join in for some strange reason...

But now that I'm in High School, I really don't have the 'shyness' problem. I actually fit in quite well...

Nigelated all the way!

*cough*

Shyness is my main weakness that resurfaces every now and again, but its not as much as a problem that it was in grade 8

*laughs*

I do waaay too many weird things during lunch O_o

*remembers the turkey dance of boredom*

*falls over laughing*

good times :D

hmm. .friscan. .the epic game that involves a crushed coca-cola can and the frisbee like throwing of it

*returns to nostalgia avenue*

Yeah I'm the same, but I do get extreamly nervous sometimes and when I do I'm as quiet as hell I hardly say a word... but there has been times when I was shy

I am a little shy. Like when I am around people I know, but haven't seen in a long time. A long time.

I am also shy when I have to fit in with a certain group of kids. Like hwen I want to stay with one of my other friends.

But luckily for me I have never been to a different school. I have lived in my same house for my whole life. It's really cool. Besides my romm. It's small.

I'm extremely outgoing and unshy o-O. In my veiw point, you cant lose much, so just do it and see their reactions at least. But I never did 'fit in' no matter how outgoing I Was. So I usually hung out alone on the playground, throwing rocks at a tree -.-'

so, it doesnt really matter if you're shy or not. Its the groups decison of weather to add you into their ranks or not...

I'm shy unless I know the person, and I HATE talking to people who are older than me (such as adults and grandparents, etc.) I guess it's because if I get something wrong, I'll forever be stuck as 'The Little Duffer'

Also, meeting new people in school scares me . . .

I could be called shy.

I've got the same problem. *laughs* Which is why, sadly, when a couple of my friends aren't at school, I wander like an abandoned puppy or something of the sort. lol Hint, hint, nudge, nudge to Velvet Paws. Get your arse at school more often!

I am really shy except with my friends...when I am with my friends I do some crazy stuff like today I ate an orange peel just cause I knew it would get some laughs. I am extremely shy with females except the few i know well enough to know that they know most of the time half the stuff I say is spure of the moment. But when I have a crush on a girl I try not to even look at her cause I think she will say something bad to me that shows she dislikes me I have only asked a girl out once in my life and that was in 4th grade.

I'm too shy to go up to people and just say "hey". Actually, I'm very shy, but once people get to know me, I'm not shy at all. And I'm certainly not as shy if I have my friend with me. Just one, really, because she's been my best friend since elementary school. So I always feel a bit braver with her around. lol. ^^ I also have a school full of total jerks that I don't want to socialize with, and I don't really care about my "social life". But still, I'm not really antisocial, I just don't want to talk to these certain people. Wait.....maybe I am antisocial.......I dunno! ^^

My family and friends probably think of me as the weird loud mouth, but around strangers, girls(that are not my friends) and anyone else, I get really shy. If a girl says something to me or asks me something, I talk soft and quiet and try to avoid eye contact:o I must blush or look strange because they talk softly back and smile alot. well, even though I have friends, I perfer to be a loner.

That's it!!! That was exactly what I was trying to say. I have friends, but I prefer to be by myself. And I'm always VERY quiet in school. :cross:

I can be shy at times...it just depends on who I'm around. It's not even necessarily like I'm shy, I just don't know what to say half of the time...since I'm horrible with communication unless it is in the form of defending others.

There's one situation that always gets me shy! If I'm good friends with a guy and we flirt like mad but nothing physical is happening, I'm totally not shy and have tons of fun.

If I start to LIKE that guy I start to close up and start feeling stupid when I say stuff...it's so SO stupid. I also start to get scared when a relationship moves into the "physical" phase...even if I'm WAY into it...I'm just weird like that :D

In fact, I'm trying to deal with a "situation" like this right now...

I'm like that around girls. I am perfectly fine talking to them or flirting with them, but when it comes time for a relationship time, i start to think that everything i said was stupid and that she won't like me anymore because of it. it's stupid.
