Thanks to [URL=http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?threadid=10801]Kou[/URL] for reminding me without even knowing :D I'm curious, was the whole fusion thing a late thought by the DBZ creator? Piccolo today was taking Trunks and Goten away talking about how they're the hope of everyone etc, so i'm guessing he's talking about the fusion. Wouldn't Goku and Gohan be a much better fusion "hope"? anyway, thats not the question, this is ::::: Vs Freiza, there seemed to be no hope. If Goku hadn't turned SSJ ( and he didnt know he would ) wouldn't it have been a better idea to fuse somewhere along the line? I would say Vs Cell also, but Goku knew Gohan would beat him so there was no need I just thought though, that before Buu, there's been times where it seemed like all hope was lost, and they never even mentioned the fusion thing. Throughout the entire series Akira Toriyama mainly focused on the Super Saiyajin levels to make the characters stronger. So fusion wasn't even being thought of then. They just used the whole Super Saiyajin thing. Then when the Buu saga was coming about and they were already at Super Saiyajin 3 he thought that a level four would be too monotonous. So he was thinking of a different way to make the warriors stronger. So he asked someone that he's related to (can't remember whether it was his wife or whatever) how he could make them stronger, and they brought up the idea of fusion. I also believe that Piccolo may have had some previous knowledge because he was Guardian of earth. Also Piccolo kind of Fused with Nail,and Kami but purmenatally instead of temporary. Because Marai Trunks was no longer around when fusion was introduced. Then, fusing with Chibi Trunks would be impossible in the fusion dance, and pointless with the earrings. It would be impossible for the fusion dance because the two people fusing have to be of similar height, power, etc. And there's an obvious difference there. And then using the earrings would be pointless because Chibi Trunks isn't really all that strong so the power increase would be not all that much. Goten and Trunks' fusion didn't require an apparatus to fuse, but they could only fuse for 30 minutes. Goku and Vegeta's fusion was supposed to be permanent, but they required an appartus(the earrings) to fuse. Kent Posted May 3, 2002 Share Posted May 3, 2002 thanks super saiyan moderater. the method, mystic. i'd say thats what was up. but you must admit, it wasnt that bad of a guess. since we're all talking about fusion. do you think that the gogeta or vegetto fusions are more powerful than ss3 in the forms we've seen from buu and movie 12. i dont know what to say because gotenks phisically had to go to ss3 to fight with buu. where as veggeto doesnt. also, is janenba stronger than majin buu? gogeta takes him without going ss3. where as goku had to go ss3 to fight janenba and lost horrible. "hes in a league of his own" goku to vegeta about janenba. do you think that the gogeta and veggeto fusions are beyond all of the past levels, hence being like a toriyama ss4. only the change is like ss2, small amount of phisical change but an increased strength at the same size, and increased speed and endurance. sorry to rant so long, lemme hear what you think.
