Chatrooms

Don't ya just hate chatrooms?God I hate that a/s/l thing...it just sux! Not to mention a few million other things.
And most of the time its like they give you links to porn sites... sheesh... it sucks.

I don't know. But it usually has poor quality wiritng, but it is a quicker way of getting to know someone, then over a message board.

But I like message boards more. Especially this one, as it attracts a certain kind of audience, away from all the chatroom people...

Well just to say, I am a Operator in theOtaku.com's Chatroom... And I like Message Boards more than Chatrooms but I also like Chatrooms...

I use to be an advide user of the chatroom until I realized that I was talking to about 20 complete strangers on a daily basis who knew almost everything about me so I basically had to block them all to keep them from IMing and E-Mailing me if I had not I realize I could have been talking to a malester or something whpo know were I might be today. I went into one recentally for about 5 minutes and already people were asking me a/s/l I left because they all started getting on my nerves when I did not tell them it I left it felt like they were trying to pressure me into giving up personal info. I like Message Boards more because you can give up as much information as you want and if you do say something that you wish you really had not written you can delete the message.

public chat rooms have some Sexual predators and just plain sick ppl! message boards r like chatrooms but 100000000000 times better with rules regulations restriction and moderators/admins to protect us from sickos!

Chat rooms are very unsafe. I feel a lot better when I'm here because I know more people and it feels more like a community.
The worst part besides to talking to strangers is that everyone asks you a/s/l and recommends porn sites.

Well I LIKED chatrooms, until someone tried to give me a virus, I detected it and shot it back at him like a bullet, burned his azz... I don't go to them anymore, I hate them

Yeah, plus there are a lot of people now that can steal your IP address too. I have seen it done in MSN Chatrooms. I never go there anymore, but I used to. I prefer message boards, but no one hate me, but this one sorta gets boring and old. On June 29th it would be a year for me here at OtakuBoards. Wait...Or was it July?? It was one of them two, yeah and I am surprised I am still here. Not surprising I really don't have any friends here, I mean there are people that say hi and are nice and congratulated me for being able to go to Connecticut, but that is about it. But sorry I am going off the topic here. I don't like chatrooms, message boards are ok.

I DEFINATELY like Message Boards better than chat rooms.
Message boards make you feel part of a group- a family; especially this board. I love it! ^_^ Unless you do something to really tick someone important off, but that's a whole different story.

Chat rooms do have their upside, like chatting in REAL time with people, but if you go into a lot of chat's they're all perverted. I have been to a some AOL chats with a topic, where people weren't that bad. no one ever tracks me down on AIM, either. I susually go into priavte chats w/ my friends, but I don't go into chats too often. Another downside is that I went into a Digimon RP once, and this person keeps inviting me back into all these Digimon RP private chats he's made and I'm SICK of it!

So, yes, while chat rooms do have their upside, Message Boards are definately better.

I don't really like chatrooms, haven't been to one for almost a year, that excludes otaku chat though, I only went there once or twice for like, a period of 2 minutes to see what it was like....

message boards are so much better....
