Well, if I didn't read "girly" type books, then perhaps I could help. (Did you get a new copy of AotC yet? ;))

A "non-girly" book that you may enjoy (if you like classics) is Watership Down. It's about rabbits, which sounds really ridiculous, but it's rather good.

Resident Evil Code Veronica (book 6 in the book series) is great to check out if you are a fan of the Resident Evil series (I am) it expands on the game allot in my opinion and if you are into the game it will answer some questions about things for you. If you are interested in checking out the whole book series here are the book titles

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Conspiracy
Resident Evil: Caliban Cove
Resident Evil: City of the Dead
Resident Evil: Underworld
Resident Evil: Nemesis
Resident Evil: Code Veronica

You Really should have told what genre you like best so that we could recommend the best books for you but if you are into the fantasy sci-fi stuff a really really good book is Sabriel by Garth Nix and its sequel Lirael. Its right above His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman, which I also recommend, and The Last Vampire series by Christopher Pike.

Some other great books to read that havent been mentioned are the Ender Series. They were written by Orson Scott Card. Very good books. the books are as follows"

Ender's Game
Speaker for the Dead
Xenocide
Children of the Mind
Ender's Shadow
and I believe theres a new one called the Hegemon(sp), you'd have to read the first book, to understand what the hegemon is.

A few others are the Rouge Squadron series, the Jedi Academy Trilogy, the Aliens books, and the Halo: The Fall of Reach, a prequel to the Halo game on X-box.

OHHH!!!! Almost forgot. Any History book is a great read too. ;)

Well, I second that opinion, those books are excellent. There IS a book called"shadow of the Hegemon" (not just hegemon)

You could also read Boba Fett:the fight to survive. It is not exactly a challenging book, but it is through Boba's eyes and about epsoide 2, so in my opinion , worth a read...........

Thank you. I knew it had something with Hegemon in it.

The Left Behind series is really good. Even if your not a Christan, you can find a good storyline...its creepy....:) The first book tends to go alittle slow but it goes uphill from there.
