I'm sick of hearing gunshots outside my window

It doesn't matter if guns/knives or any other kind of weapon are banned, that will not stop a person from obtaining such a weapon. In England, guns are banned, but this is merely a word, action has been taken, but I have seen "hoodies" waving guns around on the streets.

well, i'm really lucky. i only hear sirens, but i'm right by a busy highway. the worst that has happened in my naighborhood, is that there was this gang, and one kid wanted out. he told the police everything. the rest of the gang found out, and murdered him with a knife:( they threw the knife in a lake thats right by my house. its right behind my school. actually, its not really big enough to be a lake. its a huge pond, i gues you can say. the cops tried to find the knife, but never did. Although they did find 5 cars down in the pond while they were looking for it.

It's not cool to live in a violent area. It toughens you up, but it's not cool. I had to live in East Compton for over 12 years now..and finally, I have left that hell whole and am now living in the safest place in California.

Judging by your location you think Orange County is the safest place in California. Hmm...

Maybe I have been spoiled, I live about 20 miles north of that area (in "the valley") and I have never experienced anything like that. I don't think I could live in a place where violent crime was such a large problem.

okay, listen. when i'm sleeping at night, i get woken up by loud gun shots going off outside. i was playing my guitar outside my apartment when i heard guns being shot off. the problem is that i don't think i should have to get used to guns being shot near my house. there is a huge problem when i hear gun shots randomly & i see the cops pulling up to investigate, like it's an every-day occcurance. what it this world coming to?

does anyone else have this problem? maybe it's because our president was the governer of the state with the highest death penalty rate in the country. maybe life is just a token to be used & taken away. well, the next time i hear of somebody being killed over ten dollars, or a stolen pair of shoes, i'm just going to give up on humaanity as a whole.

excuse me, but i'm really pissed off. i thought a human life was worth more than that.
I dont have that problem, btu I wish that i was the one shooting.

I Happen to have the same problem. Kids in my neihborhood actualy set fire crackers on fire, But with their gun. One of my best friends was shot in the head because he wouldn't give a kid his lunch money. The kid who shot him was in a gang, And when the Police figured out who it was, The gang members killed him to make shure he didn't tell about the gang, But Some girl was walking by when they killed him and told the police, so they are all in Prison, For 30-40 years each.

Three nights ago some guys tried to break into my house, But we had the alarm on, And my next door neighbor came out with his rifle when he heard the window break and the alarm go off, And he fired into the air. One of the guys pulled out a gun but my neighbor shot him in the arm and he ran off. All in the meantime i was in my dads room loading his Hand gun seeing as i was alone. I have a feeling i would have died that night had my neighbor not came to my aid....
