Geist
I haven't seen very much scary movies, but my favorite would probably be an old one from the 70's about a house built on an ancient Indian burial ground. I can't remember the name of the movie. (btw, aren't favorite topics not allowed? :worried: )
Break
I really hate horror/scary movies, but I'd have to say that The Amityville Horror and The Exorcist were the best I've seen. The one you're talking about, set in the 70s, and the house is built on an ancient Indian burial ground, COULD be Amityville Horror, but the house on Amityville had the pathway to Hell in it's basement...
Geist
I'm not sure about the basement thing, It's been a while since I've seen it. For some reason I thought it was called "House" or something like that.

Spikey
I would have to say that Jurasicc Park III is the scariest one I've seen. Now to be honest with you, I do like scary movies, and that is a little scary. You all might think I'm a baby, I am 9. But that is scary how the people get eatin and stuff. it just sends chills up my spine. I hate when that happens. But I liked the movie, it was a little on the scary side though.:worried:
PiroMunkie
"Showgirls, absolutley frightening." Randy (Scream 2) I really havn't seen too many 'scary movies' but I would have to say that the original Scream is the best that I have seen. The second one was good too, but it seemed more focused on humor than the first one :p The third one when down the tubes though...

Guest Matt
The Exorsist was scary. Movies don't usually scare me. It's not real, so why should it? But that movie freaked me out.

Guest Hikaru Ichijyo
 Well when I was a little kid way back in the 80's the thing that I considered the most scariest movie was Child's Play. I had a my buddy doll that looked exactly like him I was so scared of that doll coming to life after seeing that film! It wasn't till I was 8 that I finally got over those movies and now enjoy them and laugh at them! Though I still can't look at a "My buddy doll" the same way!;) :o
Sephiroth
why does no one vote for japanese horror movies? they're the greatest! favourite is the japanese horror movie "Ring" followed by the sequel "Ring 2" now thats what you call horror!

Kei
The Exorsist freaked me out when I first saw it. Not every day you see somebody go down the stairs like that. I Know What You Did Last Summer was kinda scary, but not too much, but Child's Play still scares me to this day. Fall
Scream 3 was pretty good, The Panic Room was a good thriller, Jeepers Creepers was also good except for the crappy ending, Double Jeoperdy, Satan's School for Girls, The Blair Witch, Children of the Damned, Callatiral (sp?) Damage are all of the best scary movies I've seen.... Though I think the best one of all is Scream 3...

Fall
Well, just don't read this post. ;) *SPOILER* for end of Jeepers Creepers (for Sacred Warrior) The monster looking thingie caught her boyfriend, killed him, pulled him apart, and kept his outsides. The he came and looking through his face where his eyes used to be..... then it finished. Pretty crappy if you ask me....

Ravenstorture
Has anyone seen House on haunted Hill? That movie was the SCARIEST movie I have every seen, and ask anyone, I laughed the WHOLE WAY THROUGH the exorcist. I grew up in an asylum, and the scariest thing i can imagine is an insane person with a knife. And this flick is stuffed full of insane ghosts and insane doctors and it's set in a haunted asylum. I just flipped when I saw it. But, the ending was crap. Apart from that, the background music to the Shining with jack nicholson (that kind of growling, revving sound) freaked me out and although I would have to say it was THE WORST movie I have ever seen in my life, Ghosts on Mars was pretty scary with the whole people turning wierd and cutting themselves up. But I wasn't really scared because the movie was so shockingly bad the whole way through, and this is in a cliched american every girl is blond, every guy is trying to get onto her kind of way. the only other scary movie I can think of at the moment was Bring It On, I couldn't sleep for weeks after that one.
