If you do not know about Suikoden I or any of the Genso Suikodens then read below. Its a small cut to the story type thing

Your background does not have to have any ties with the game in anyway, if you can, please do so. As for the weapons, No Guns, everything else is fine, you don't have to have a weapon either, you can fight bare hands and feet

Runes in their natural states cannot be used. They must be brought to either a rune master or in somecases to a weaponsmith to be either embedded in one of three locations on the body or on a weapon. Runes can be embedded on either the right hand, left hand and forehead. The level of a charcter governs the number or runes a person can handle. Likewise, level governs how much power you can extract from a rune at any given time before your body must rest to regenerate magical energies. In the case of Luc - he is at a level where he can wield two runes - The pixie and the wind. He can wield 7 first level spells, 4 second and 2 third and 1 fourth level spell on his wind rune.In the above example, Luc's attack power is 36. This will be calculated with the Rune attack to decide how much damage he inflicts on an enemy. The end result will be calculated against the enemy's Magic Defense to see how much damage will be inflicted.

The Runes That We Will Use In This RPG Are:

27 True Runes

Rune of Life and Death (Darkness) Bearer: GENSO
Also called the "Soul Eater". Concealed within the rune is the fearful power which influences the life and death. However, it prefers the soul of the person who bears it and those closest to that person, it tends to end in tragedy. Because of that, it is also referred to as the "Cursed rune".

Deadly Fingertips - Sudden death to one enemy. doesn't work on bosses.
Black Shadow - 490 Damages All enemies
Hell -Sudden Death versus All
Judgment - 1490 damage versus 1 enemy

It posesses the power to open the gates to another dimension. The Gate rune exists in two parts - the exit (Back) and the entrance (Front). It is borne by two people as well. The front rune has gone missing with the presumed death of its bearer the lady Windy.

Sovereign Rune Bearer: no one yet
The rune posesses the power to seal away the powers of the rune of the bearer's opponents. The rune is sealed within the sword the now-deceased Emperor of Toran bore. It's whereabouts are currently unknown.

Dragon Rune Barer- No one yet This rune gives the bearer the ability to control dragons. This rune is controlled by the Dragon Knight's Captain. It's said that the bond formed between the dragon and it's rider is so great that when the rider dies, the dragon will die as well.

Blue Moon Rune Bearer:

Wind Rune:This rune is borne by Lenkanaat's pupil, Luc. He keeps this fact well-hidden. Nothing is known of this rune's abilities or nature

Fire Rune: Grassland legend claims that it was stolen from Harmonia and weiled by one of their people who became known as the "Fire Hero", leading his band of bandits, the Bearers of the Flame against Harmonia. There is nothing to prove this legend at this time, since there is no collaborating evidence on the part of Harmonia. Nothing is known of this rune's abilities or nature

Water Rune: Nothing is known of this rune's abilities or nature.

Earth Rune:This rune presides over the earth. This is one of the many true runes posessed by Harmonia.

Circle Rune :This rune presides over the earth. This is one of the many true runes posessed by Harmonia. The rune which has the power of " law ". It embodies order and stability. This rune has been in Harmonia's posession for a long time. However it's full abilities have not yet been revealed.


Hachifusa Rune: Yuber Beast Rune Bearer: Luca Blight
Details are unknown but it's possible that the rune grants its bearer the ability to summon/control serpent creatures - similar to the 8-headed hydra of Japanese myths. The rune was originally in the posession of Harmonia, however it was gifted to the Blight family in return for loyalty. This rune feeds on human lives and souls.

Rune of Change: It's influence is that of 'change'. It is said to have cursed the Sindar race so that they may not stay in one place for any amount of time.

Beginnings Rune : The Rune of Beginning is split into two lesser runes known as the Bright Shield and the Black Sword, these two runes posess unknown powers. It is said that these two runes created all the other 27 runes. The two runes, when posessed by one person, grants the immortality and great powers. However, when posessed by different people, it creates strife and war. The previous two owners of the runes were Han Cunningham and Genkaku.
