I decided that i would play my snes till it brakes down, which should be soon considering its over 10 years old now. i just beat the first temple, to get one of those charm necklaces., i forget what they are called. how do i enter the temple to get the courage one? if anyone can remember that far back?? (i'm a little antigue person, i know.)

Sure, I remember that! A Link to the Past is my favorite Zelda game, after all! :) But, you seem to be confused; you get the Pendant of Courage in the first dungeon, then the Pendant of Power in the second dungeon, and then you get the Pendant of Wisdom in the third dungeon. (Courage is green, Power is red, Wisdom is blue, just like the Three Goddesses in Ocarina of Time).

But anyway, enough about the Pendants of Virtue... and onto the subject at hand! I'm assuming that you got the Pegasus Shoes from Sahasrahla (the guy in the building over by Level 1, Eastern Palace); you get them from him after beating Level 1. Once you have those, go to the Library in Kakariko Village; there's a book up on one of the shelves. Use the Pegasus Shoes to dash into the shelf, knocking off the book. Cangratulations, you've just gotten the Book of Mudora! This book will prove to be vital to your quest, and more than once, too.

Take the book to the Desert of Mystery, in south-west Hyrule, and you'll find a stone slab in the middle of three weird, head statue things. When you try to read the writing on the slab, you'll just see gibberish. What you don't know, is that this is ancient Hylian writing. Use the Book of Mudora in front of the slab to translate the writing. This will trigger the three heads to move, opening the way into Level 2, Desert Ruins, but blocking the way back at the same time.

That's how you get into Level 2, where you'll find the Pendant of Power. If you need help inside the dungeon, or with any other part of the game, feel free to PM me. I know everything about A Link to the Past. :toothy:
