Hello,

If anyone can help me you could justmy life. After getting a gameboy for christmas, I ran up a HUGE phonebill calling the Nintendo helpline. Anyway it wasn't much help so I've given up. That was until I found this.

SO I've just completed level 3 and I returned to the main village and I'm in search of level 4.

I have a stone of some sort which needs work done to it but this guy ( sorry forgotten name). Does anyone know how I can find him and then level 4?

A stone? Are you talking about the Tuni Nut, perhaps, which is broken? If so, you need to take it to Patch, who lives on top of Restoration Wall.

If I'm right about this, tell me and I'll write up how to do it. If I'm wrong, more details about what you've done since beating Level 3, Moonlit Grotto would help.

Sure, I can help you with that... That was a kind of confusing bit for me too, since it involved lots of warping from present to past, and back again, etc...

Okay, if you haven't already learned the Tune of Currents (which lets you warp from the past to the present anywhere on the overworld), you'll need to learn it before you can get to Patch. If you don't have it, I'll tell how to get it now. First off, go to Symmetry Village in the past, and go down the stairs in the south-west corner of the Village. Now walk one screen to the west, and then go up the stairs one screen to the north. Keep going north another screen, up some more stairs, and you'll be surrounded by deep water, with some shallow water to your right and up a bit. In the very north-east coner of the screen, there'll be one square of deep water; dive into it, to find the way to Tokkey's house (not to be confused with the Tokays that live on Crescent Island). Talk to him, and then play the Harp of Ages on the green floor tile. He'll then teach you the Tune of Currents.

Now walk south two screens, back down the two flights of stairs, and then one screen to the west. Cross the stream, and make your way to the south-west corner of the screen. Play the Tune of Currents to warp from the past to the present, without using the Time Portal (if you use the Time Portal, you won't be able to get to the stairs below you). Now proceed to go as far south as you can, until you're four screen south of where you warped. Now walk one screen to the east, and one screen to the north, up the stairs (not up the vines). Lift up the rock to reveal a Time Portal, and play the Tune of Echoes on the Harp of Ages, to activate the Time Portal. Step into it, to warp back to the past. Now walk south one screen, and push the plant bulb to the right, in front of the right place where vines can grow. Now walk back up north, and into the cave at the top of the screen. Take the right door at the top of the second flight of stairs. Now walk to your right and push the red block to the left, until the path of the water is changed. Now go back through the cave to the bulb, and warp to the present using the Tune of Currents. Climb up the vines, and you'll see that a pond is now in the place of a bunch of potholes that were blocking your way. Swim up and right, to the stairs in the north-east corner of the screen, and go up them one screen to the north. Now go one more screen to the north, one to the west, and one to the south, and you'll see a Time Portal. Play the Tune of Echoes, to activate it, and then step in. Back in the past, retrace your steps to the top of where the vines were, and then take the stairs heading south, that are to the right of the top of the vines. From there you'll go a little ways and then climb up Restoration Wall, and enter the cave where Patch lives.

Okay, that's pretty much it, I think. If you need more help, feel free to PM me. I'm always glad to help with a Zelda game, if you have trouble with anything. :)
