When former VP Gore said he invented the internet, he's not far off. He was int he group that did invent the internet. Heck, I've downloaded heaps, and they've been on my computer for ages, but I heven't been tracked down or anything.... it's just illegal to have them on your computer. Anything else that isn't copyrighted, is alright to download. Usually it has a legal statement for illegal downloads or something like that.... And then I usually go out and get the cd anyway. Main thing I download is songs from artist that have like only one good song and is not worth paying 15 bucks for 1 song. Yeah its still wrong. I hate how Metallica blew everything out of proportion though. thats why I downloaded everything of theirs I could just to piss them off. VP-Master Posted May 13, 2002 Share Posted May 13, 2002 Downloading is a very important aspect of the Internet and is one of the main reasons it got popular. u can dl patches and updates that improve your comp. There's tons of stuff that perfectly legal to dl without breaking any Inter/national laws. And ya there's tons of copyrighted stuff that's dled for free each day (Anime being something very easy to pirate). You technically aren't supposed to do it but most ppl do it newaz. Oh well, people do it so much now, and with today's technology and all.....it's almost impossible to stop it at this point. Of course, I'm sure I contribute, too. I download mp3's, mostly anime songs that are more difficult to find cds for. And anime pictures, too. That's about it.
