*-- RagnaroK--*
Originally posted by Desbreko Um... you do realize that FFIV, FFV, and FFVI are old Super NES games, right? That means 2D sprites, so there'd be no difference in graphics between the PS1 and PS2, except for the few CG scenes that they added. And they're probably just using the same CG scenes from the FF Anthology and FF Chronicles that came out in the US... So it still probably wouldn't matter...
I had a completely different thing in mind, i was thinking about a release of anthology as a brand new version with new graphics. Still, te idea wouldve been cool, im put off anthology (but will still play it) because of the poor graphics, maybe that wouldve encouraged me a little to play it more often. Oh and youve got to believe me, final fantasy is coming back to nintendo, even 10 and 11. I wish i had some proof which i could post across to you. Damn. Desbreko
What, you need 3D graphics in order to fully enjoy a Final Fantasy game? FFV and FFVI are considered two of the best FF games by lots of people, right up there with FFVII. FFVI is actually my favorite in the series. Believe me, the graphics don't matter. It's the story and gameplay and character development and all sorts of things that make FFIV, FFV, and FFVI so great. FFIV was also the first FF game to introduce the Active Time Battle system, which was used in every FF game after it until FFX. If you get FFVI and/or FF Anthology, I can guarantee that you'll like them if not love them. I haven't heard anyone say that they didn't like FFIV, FFV, or FFVI, I don't think. I'm not asking for proof, since there most likely isn't any... What I want to know is why you're so sure that FFX and FFXI will be released on the GCN...

No offence to anyone, but I'd rather play FF... Note--By FF I mean Final Fantasy, as in, the original, for anyone who didn't know..
conpiracymonki
So.....FF didn't have the ATB system? Coz now I am so screwed... I thought FFIV was FF, FFV was FFII, and FFVI was FFIII.... but now my head hurts.... ..help ^^'

FF, FFII, FFIII, FFIV, FFV, FFVI are all seperate games. I ::think:: that in America, FFj was FF (maybe?), FFIVj was released as FFII, FFVIj as FFIII, and FFVj, as FFV. Where's FFIV and FFVI? Who knows. Then they started using the Japanese ones for FFVII and up. Hope that makes sense.
Hachi
This is great, it's only £10. And don't think that FF 1,2 or 3 will be realesed for PSone, GBA maybe but not PSone. You can't beat the classics I suppose right? :cross:
Desbreko
I don't think we'll be seeing FFI, FFII, or FFIII on the GBA, although it'd be good to finally have FFII and FFIII released in the US... I think it'd be more likely that they'd remake FFIV, FFV, and FFVI on the GBA... I'll be happy with any Final Fantasy remakes on the GBA, though. I'd mainly want to see FFV remade, though, because I've never really played it much. I've heard it's a really good one, too.
Hachi
Yeah, a portable version of FF4, pretty cool. I think 1,2 and 3 are Game boy color standards in graphics tho. :cross:
