Crouching on the rain slicked roof, Davien contemplates his next move. His last attack had gone horribly wrong, the intended victim leaving a rather large gash that had only just missed being fatal. Damn it. Now whoever it was was on to his existence. Fortunately, he had managed to injure his victim-turned-attacker enough that he wasn't followed. Shrugging, Davien leaps off into the darkness, resolving to keep a low profile until he knew what was going on.

Spyder yawned and looked about the crowded street, full of recently graduated lawyers and burnt-out prostitutes. Someone, somewhere, was going to die tonight, She could feel it. But then again, it was like that every night for her. Chuckling to herself, she stepped out into the drizzle and proceded to stalk menacingly down the street. Various catcalls echoed behind her, as well as the smouldering looks thrown at her by the much-less- attractive hookers that skulked on corners and outside bars. She approached a couple of young louts who were in the midst of a vodka fight. Obviously wealthy, vodka was not cheap in these parts. Without slowing down, Spyder slipped a lighter out of her pocket and set one of the men on fire as she walked past. Breaking into a run as soon as she heard the screams begin behind her, she darted across the street and into a dark alleyway. Leaning against the wet brick wall to catch her breath, she decided to sneak a look at the havok she had caused on the darkened street. But that was when the figure caught her eye. A tall creature, concealed in the shadow by his dark clothing but his stark white face was what caught her attention. Usually the fact that she was a creature of hell, a legion of Satan gave her enough confidance to just about sign up for ballet but for some reason this person (if that is who it was) caught her off guard.

Davien knew he was being watched. He wasn't sure where from, or how friendly the watcher was. All he knew was that whoever had taken such an interest in him wasn't human. Looking around the crowded street, one figure was almost outlined by stillness in stark relief. A rather attractive woman, all dressed up. Looked typically gothic, yet with blood red hair. Interesting. Fully aware that she probably meant him harm, Davien unconcernedly walked over to her.

Davien *with inquiringly cocked eyebrow*: Was there something?

Woman: Should there have been?

Davien: Why not?

Davien suddenly starts laughing, taking his newfound acquaintance aback

Woman: You find this situation amusing?

Davien: No, the line just struck me as familiar. I'm Davien.

Woman: Spyder. You really think I deserve trust?

Davien: Of course not. But then, no one does. I think I like you. Why don't we go find some more comfortable surroundings in which to talk?

Spyder: I'm fine right here.

Davien: Have it your way.

Shrugging, Davien walks off into the night. He only gets 5 or 6 metres however, when he feels a hand on his shoulder. Looking back, he sees Spyder.

Spyder: Alright, but this had better be good.

On the other side of town, Alpha rests against a wall. She looks left and right, and sees no one.

Alpha: Oh come on Summer where are you? I'm hungry and Mangus won't give me anything to eat.

Reaching a rather opulent hotel, Davien leads Spyder up the stairs. He is obviously known there, the receptionist barely notices him, and several other clients shout comments and catcalls. Ignoring them, Davien reachs one of the doors and opens it. Inside, there is blackness. He walks in.

Davien: Welcome to my den of iniquity.

Spyder: If you say so.

Davien lights a candle, revealing a room, done in black with pentagrams traced over the roof, and on the floor, with assorted Tea Party, Fallen Tears, Gossamer style posters plastered all over the walls, along with page upon page of Neitzsche quotes.

Spyder: Nice place.

Davien: It serves. It suits.

Spyder: Alright. What did you want to talk about.

Davien: Nothing really. You're just the only non-human I've seen in a while that hasn't tried to kill me on sight.

Spyder: How do you know I'm not going to stab you in the back?

Davien: I don't. Anyway. So, who and what are you?

Alpha: Mangus, you are completely strange. You know any where we could grab a few early bites?

Mangus jumps down. Alpha grins, she knows she'll get in trouble with Summer but who cares.

Mangus: I know a good place, not to known, get eat there

Alpha: Alright, Mangy, lets go. I'm famished

???: Were you two thinking of eating by any chance

Alpha: Dam! You always have good timing don't you

the person emerges. The two vamps know her by sight

Spyder settles herself on a black draped chair, ignoring the clouds of dust. Davien does likewise, sitting just across from Spyder, just out of reach of a lunge.

Spyder: Well, as you already seem to have divined, I'm not human. I'm not a vampyre either.

Davien: Which leaves demon of sorts, right.

Spyder: Oh, very good.

Davien: Ouch.

Spyder: And I thought I was good at sarcastic. Anyway, I'm a fire demon.

Davien: And what are you doing here? Or is it one of those "secretive things"?

Spyder: Nothing really.

Davien: I knew it was one of thoes things. Well, as long as it doesn't involve or affect me I'm fine.

Spyder: Really, I'm not here for anything.

Davien looks at her sardonically for a while. Spyder starts to feel uncomfortable.

Spyder: Alright damn it! I was an exile.

Davien laughs uproariously

Davien: Political matyr!!

Davien's laughter stops suddenly however, when the chair he's sitting on starts to smoke.

Davien: Alright, alright, calm down. I'm sorry.

Spyder: No you're not.

Davien: No, really, I am. Anyway. Why were you exiled, or would you prefer not to talk about it?

Spyder in turn starts to look amused

Spyder: "Fraternizing with the enemy", was the offical verdict.

Davien: I really don't think that needs to go any further...

Spyder: Well, it doesn't have to if you don't want it to, but it may concern you in the future...

Davien: I don't like where this is heading.

Spyder: Good.

Spyder cracks her knuckles and leans black in the chair, staring holes into the back of Davien's head.

Spyder: Besides, I like it here. Stockings are so hard to obtain in the firey pits of eternal damnation...

Davien(laughing): I'm happy you found it worthwhile sacrificing friendship for home.

Spyder: Not friendship, sex. Now, if you don't mind, I am going to sit here and stare at the wall until you suggest that I leave, whereupon I will do so with great flair.

Davien: I'm not sure I know what you mean by that...

Davien: And I'm pretty sure you're not going to tell me.

Spyder: You're a smart boy, why don't you figure it out?

Davien: I assume you're referring to the fact that I'm not going to ask you to leave?

Spyder: Clever boy.

Davien: That's starting to get irritating.

Spyder: Sorry.

Davien: Why, that's perfectly alright.

Spyder just looks at Davien oddly for a while, before getting up, walking over to him, and staring him in the eye.

Spyder: Cut that out.

Davien steps back and bows ironically.

Davien: As you wish.

Spyder: Don't do that either.

Davien shrugs, and goes and sits down on one of the couches. Spyder follows him.

Davien: What are you doing?

Spyder: Seeing how scared you get.

Davien: Here we go again...

OOC: *points* I signed up. .sorry 'bout the post not being in RPG style. .just thought I might try it this way for once. .:whoops:
-------

Saethi wound around the streets, motorcycle thrumming. Not much was on his mind this time of night, other than the Essay that was due in tomorrow. His lecturer would have his hide if the grades didn't pick up soon, not to mention his parents. He chuckled. Even stranger that these thoughts were racing through the mind of a vampyre. But after all, he wasn't a normal vampyre.

As the Kawasaki flew past the park, Saethi's head was taken out of the clouds when something whistled past his ear. Braking suddenly, the bike spun around, facing the opposite direction and back towards the park. A girl was standing there. .a cute girl to be exact. . he looked her up and down, and then noticed the particularly large crossbow she was holding. .and the bolt that was almost loaded in it. .

Gunning the engine, the bike reared, front wheel spinning in the air. It fell forward and charged at the girl. Just metres from her, Saethi clenched the brakes, causing the bike to rear again and the front wheel to sit just centimetres from the girls nose

Lowering the bike, Saethi smiled and looked into her surprised eyes

"Interesting way you have of getting a guys attention," he nodded to the crossbow, "how many boyfriends you had so far?"
The girl dropped the crossbow, pulled out a stake and aimed towards his heart. Saethi dodged it and held her arm, pushing it painfully high up her back, knocking the stake out of her hand. He smiled again and pushed her back before he stepped off the bike. As he stepped, his coat billowed and the street lamp behind him illuminated his electric blue hair, giving it an unnatural glow and adding to the chill of the night.

"For a slayer you don?t seem to be going well in the sector of bad guy removing," Saethi laughed, "believe me, I?m not due for another feed for 2 months yet, 1 month if I want to avoid bloodlust." he paused, smile revealing more teeth, "Besides, a half vampyres bite doesn?t create more. .but I?m sure you knew that. For your information, my name is Saethi, and you would be Summer from my Psychology class?"

Summer looked completely disarmed. But her mind was buzzing, "how did he know that I?m the slayer?". .stupid question, the same way I knew he was a vampyre. But this him being half vampyre seems to be utter rubbish, you?re either a vampyre or not. There was no in between.

Summer looked up, stake ready to taste undead flesh, but her eyes only to meet a black clad, blue haired teenager slide around the corner with his motorcycle roaring.

She sighed, there would be another night. Just as cold and lonely, but in that night she would add another notch to her stake. She walked over the gravel to pick up the crossbow, but something else caught her eye. A small post-it note was stuck to the butt, a small post-it note that bore a string of numbers and the words:

"Call Me"

Spyder: You mean you usually have exiled demons seeing how worried you get when they get very close to you.

Davien: Alright, that didn't come out right. And anyway, you aren't that close to me.

Spyder: But you want me to be right?

Davien: Now I know you're being sarcastic.

Spyder: One can never be sure with us demons...

Spyder turns and walks out quickly, slamming the door behind her. When Davien jumps up from the couch and opens the door after her, she is nowhere to be seen along the long, dark corridors of the building.

Davien debates whether he should follow her, then proceeds to wonder why he cared enough to at all. Muttering to himself about the duplicity of demons, female demons and females in general, he wanders down stairs, only to be accosted by the receptionist

Receptionist: What exactly did you do to your lady friend? She swept out of here like a cyclone.

Davien: Hard to explain.

Recpetionist: I'm calling the authorities.

Davien: I doubt that.

Davien stares the man in the eye, and the receptionist quails and steps back. Quickly running back to his desk, he pushes a button, summoning hotel security. A large, well dressed man walks out, and takes Davien by the arm.

Security: I'll have to ask you to leave.

Davien: I think not.

Security: Then we'll have to do this the hard way.

The hotel security starts to try and drag Davien out, only to find himself lying on the ground, with no knowledge of how he got there. Looking up, he finds Davien standing there, arms crossed, amused. He starts back up the stairs. Reaching his room, he slides open a window, and crawls out, easily leaping down to the street. Time for a feed. Who knows, he might even run into Spyder again.

Davien: Why do I care?

Spyder: Probably because I am not just another piece of meat you can suck on.

Davien spins around and finds Spyder leaning against the wall, concealed in shadow.

Davien: You really don't like vampyres, do you?

Spyder: No, I just don't like you.

Spyder turns and walks straight into the brick wall, passing through it easily and leaving no trace of herself but a faint, sooty smell. Davien curses, knowing she would be harder to track down this time.

Davien decides not to bother following her, but instead to take a walk. Ignoring the glances thrown his way by the assorted riff raff, Davien reaches a dark, wet park. Perfect. Stalking into the trees, Davien come across exactly what he is after. A solitary wanderer, the perfect prey. Sneaking up behind him, Davien muffles his shout with his hand, and shoots his fangs into his neck. Maoning with pleasure as the warm liquid soaked into his mouth, Davien breaks the man's neck with a twist, having drained him completely. Looking up at the beautiful weather around him, Davien decides he's had enough for a week or so. The possibilty of re-encountering Spyder also tempts him.

Davien: Ah Spyder, for someone who dislikes me, you made yourself too easy to find the first time round, and you were far too open in my apartment.

Laughing to himself at the irony, that Spyder actually went back inside, Davien returns to his apartment via window, and takes to his bed to get some sleep.

Spyder emerged from behind a tree in the depths of the city park, the distant hum of a motorcycle buzzing in the distance. Spyder began to walk towards the outskirts of the park, the scent of a wet road ahead of her, growing stronger as she stalked forward. Soon, the road was glimpsed in the distance, as well as a tall, slim figure walking towards her. She stopped and stood very, very still, scenting the thing advancing to her. It seemed to scent her also, and stopped. Spyder knew by that action alone that this thing wasn?t fully human. Feeling safer, she began to walk forward again. As the moonlight lit up the figure?s face, it revealed her to be a teenage girl, holding a wooden spike.

Spyder: Oh, ****.

Summer: Who are you?

Spyder (preparing to dissapear again): nothing to do with the likes of you, slayer.

OOC: I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooo *gasp* ooooooooooooo sorry! I woulda post, but I've been busy! (YOU try having a birthday (not mine!), grandparents, and a piano recital all in ONE weekend! (Try it, I DARE you!!!))

NOW, I am posting! (Don't bother me anymore about it!)

*~*~~``

Summer stood, defiant. She was in no mood to let some blood sucking leech (I read/watch too much Buffy, don't I?) stand in her way tonight.

One of the little buggers had already gotten away from her, and she wasn't going to let it happen again.

Her hand slid back to the crossbow, just one of the many weapons she had stored back in the weapons cache at home.

The tips of her fingers touched the post-it note, and Summer pulled it off, and stuck it in her back pocket . . . it might come in handy later . . .

The chick across from her was getting pissed, and Summer could tell . . . "Ok chick," Summer started, and the other girl made quite a rude gesture to her, "let's get something straight: I am the slayer, so EVERYTHING in this damned town has to do with the likes of me, got it?"

There came the rude gesture again, and that left Summer extremely pissed. "Ok you bloody leech--" she bursted out, but the girl stopped her mid-sentence.

"I am not a leech, I am a fire demon, so watch your mouth, slayer."

Somewhere, the stresses of the night snapped in Summer's mind. "Ok, ok . . . go suck someone dry, or make one of your co-workers burn in hell, or something, but just keep yourself out of trouble so I don't have to come after you and beat the hades out of you, got it? Ok? Ok . . ."

And before the fire demon had any time to react to that little speech, Summer was off, walking towards home.

Her feet guided her to the small complex where Magus and Alpha stayed. Well, actually, it wasn't exactally little, it was more or less a hotel . . .

Alpha grinned when the door slammed open, and a pissed Summer walked through the door. "Soooooo . . . how did patrol go tonight?"

Summer just stalked past, and flung the gym bag full of weapons over in a corner . . . except for one weapon. She fingered the crossbow, and kept it slung about her back. "Bite me Alpha . . ." Then, noticing the expression on Alpha's face . . . "Then again, I take that back!"

Alpha just laughed good-naturedly, and turned back to whatever she was doing.

Frankly, Summer didn't care. She stalked upstairs, and to her room . . .

*~*~~``

Whoo hoo . . . Mum's making me get off, so if this has mistakes . . . ain't my fault . . .

Saethi pulled into the drive and turned off the ignition. The headlight dimmed and the darkness closed in again. Saethi lowered his sunglasses to reveal a strange set of blue cats eyes. These eyes were special, one of the few marks of the vampyre blood in him. They were sensitive to light, very sensitive, in darkness he could see almost perfectly, unlike human technology or even vampyric.

Saethi stalked across the lawn, avoiding the motion sensor light. .that would be the last thing he needed, not only would it cause excruciating pain, but the light would wake his parents. The scolding and questions would be the last thing he needed. .the shock of him being now half vampyre was enough, they didn?t need to know that he was skulking about at night as well.

The window slid open noiselessly at his touch. After making sure it was closed, Saethi changed and flopped down on his bed, thinking over the nights events.

Saethi: how strange life has become for me. .constantly with my eyes covered. .always restless. .and the nightmares when I return. .

Saethi sighed and turned over before slipping into sleep. .

Another night to face alone, I thought. Another night in the cold... funny, I rally shouldn't worry about the cold, seemingly as I can't feel it, but it was distressing that it was there all the same. I walked back into the city, crossing over the street in which the unfortunate rich boy with the vodka fetish had met his demise, and selected a nice, warm, inlet in which I would sleep for the night. Curling up inside the doorway to an oxfam store, I began to drift off to sleep, keeping my wits about me.

OOC: . .so bored. .might as well post. .
-------

Saethi sat up and looked round. The clock read 5am. No-one was there...but the window was open...strange...He snatched up his sunglasses and walked over to it, nothing. But as it closed, a small sound of movement came from the closet. Now utterly perplexed, Saethi gingerly opened the door, yet again finding nothing. He sighed. This was not his day. He took off his sunglasses and fell into his bed, promptly falling out again with shock when he found another in it

Saethi: what the hell?

Saethi looked at the creature now sitting on his bed, a young girl, probably about a year younger than he. But, she couldn?t be human. .and that face seemed familiar. .

Saethi: *snarls* you. . why are you here? have you not had enough fill of me before?

???: I believe that you are mistaken. .I am not one of you, nor have I ever been

Saethi absentmindedly rubbed his neck, fingers touching a faint red mark

Saethi: then what are you? And who are you? not to mention, how did you get in here?

The girl smiled and leapt out the window, leaving Saethi utterly mystified. Wanting to know more, he got changed and grabbed his sunglasses and keys. The front door banged open as he kicked it and ran to get onto his bike, sleepy calls of anger came from the house, parents rudely woken.

Saethi had no time for this, he looked round for her while backing towards his bike. Not a sight nor sound of her. He turned to get on his bike, to find the girl was sitting on his bike, now dressed in leather attire. She smirked at him before beginning to speak

???: took you long enough, drive now, questions later *motions to the bike*

Saethi: fine. .you better explain yourself. .if I see a stake, you?ll be finding yourself lying on a highway somewhere chewing my gravel

Saethi climbed onto the bike and started it, finding the girls arms around his waist, holding on

Saethi: What on earth have I gotten myself into now?

Just as the front wheel reached the street, the front door banged open again, this time heralding the presence of two particularly angry parents. Saethi called out a garbled statement about an early study session. Questions came about the girl, but Saethi didn?t hear it, the wind was in his hair and the smell of burnt rubber hung where the bike was

Saethi: *shouts over the wind* ok, now, who are you?

???: Spyder

Saethi: *glances over at her* and what is so important that involves waking me at 5am, not to mention giving my parents an unneeded heart attack?

Spyder: you?ll see :demon:

<< Magnus grinned slightly as the slayer passes, he'd always grinned when she was around because they both respected each others skills having been the only Vampire to have fought her in a truly heated battle and survived she knew his skills and for him having been unchanged for so long he knew she had skills as well. >>

Magnus: << Looks over at alpha >> we should soon leave to our heaven's my dear or be forever lost in the sun's unforgiving light.

Alpha: << Glances over at him >> your right ? she'll be awake and in a better mood by then.

Magnus: Yes she will ? well let's be off

Alpha: So what kinda forbidden lore have you been into?

Magnus: O this and that ? the Blood moon ? Devil's twilight ? Abyssal Spirit's ?. And recently I've been researching something on a old tomb.

Alpha: What kinda tomb?

Magnus: Don't know yet.

Alpha: well hears my place .. see you tomorrow night.

Magnus: << Bows to her >> indeed my lady.
