Davien: Yeah, the westender. Spyder: Sounds good. She stands and pulls her boots on, looking around for her cloak. Davien stands and does the same. Then, walking over to the window, he goes to draw back the curtain when a sliver of light hits him and he shrieks, jumping back, grasping at the section of molten flesh dripping from him arm. Spyder jumps up and runs to him, checking the damage and asking if he is ok. Davien: Well, that ruins that idea. Spyder: I'm sorry, I should have reminded you. Davien: My fault. I'll be fine. I know you feel uncomfortable with myself and Davien, but it is his life, and therefore his decisions, therefore, if you truly are his freind, you will accept that. Cathos: Godamn it!.... liamc2
Saethi jingles a set of keys in his hand while the elevator sank down to the garage in the basement. Finally the doors slid open and the darkened garage was revealed. After fumbling with the switches, Saethi managed to have all the cars illuminated, there seemed to be a lot more then the supposed five cars Luke told him about. Sere Tuscumbia
OOC: And now I'm back. Durango, Colorado was the strangest town I ever stayed in, and Mesa Verde was not nice to my poor asthma. *shrugs* Oh well, at least I got a tan! And now things get a little bit "complicated" . . . ^_~ *~*~~`` Summer ran along the streets. They were deserted; that really creeped her out. There. A man was walking out of a local pastry shop, his arms loaded with plastic bags. Summer walked up to him, hoping that her appearance, whatever it may be, wouldn?t alarm him. The man looked at her, his eyes wide and frightened. "Why aren?t you working? What are you doing out?" ?Oh boy. The first person I meet is a total nutball . . .? Summer shrugged. "Uh, day off? Do happen to know of the nearest underground to London?" The man looked ready to bolt. And then he laughed; but it was small, sounding more like a cough than anything else. "London? Why would anyone want to go there?" He looked around, nervous. "I think it would be best if you stayed off the streets sweetie," he added in an undertone. And before Summer could stop him, he climbed into a black SUV and drove off, not even looking into the rearview mirror when Summer called out behind him. She looked over, as the shop owner locked his door, and pulled the blinds on the windows down. "What the hell is wrong with you people?!" Summer asked, even though she already knew the answer. These people were being terrorized, and Summer knew just by who. A sudden squealing jolted Summer out of her thoughts. It was a bobby car, and two bobbies climbed out of it. One was tall, dark, and extremely well built. The other one didn?t fare as well: tall, yes, but lanky, with a pale complexion and glasses so thick if you gave him windshield wipers and a steering wheel he would have been all set to drive to China. Pastyface looked nervously at Summer. "Miss St.Claire." Oh joy. "You might find it in your best interest to come with us Miss St.Claire." Pastyface smiled. Jesus that smile was creepy . . . Summer just shook her head. "I don?t think they?d want me dead." Pastyface just smiled again. "Well then Miss St.Claire. I?ll just have to shoot your kneecaps, possibly your shoulders. It?ll hurt like heck, but you?re coming with us, one way or the other. Can?t we all just pick the easy way?" The sickening sweet cloy of his voice was grating on Summer?s nerves. "Oh sod off boys." Summer put her hands on her hips. "I?m afraid that?s not an option for me. Thanks for the ride though." Pastyface looked confused for a moment, but by the time he figured things out, it was too late. Summer, in one fluid motion, kicked out and sent his pistol flying into the slightly smoggy sky. Pastyface just looked at where his pistol used to be, counting fingers. Then he screamed, as Summer made sure he wouldn?t be able to hold a gun again until about a year. He was still screaming when his partner, Blockhead, shot at Summer. She was still in motion, but the bullet passed close enough to her cheek that she felt the air pressure change in the surrounding atmosphere. She landed on the ground, crouched on all fours, then swept both of the bobbies. They landed on top of one another, knocking each other out in the process. "Pathetic," Summer clucked, and crossed over to the car, making sure to step on both of the bobbies in the process. Grim-faced, she pulled open the door, and slid into the front seat. As she put it into reverse, she caught a glimpse of herself in the rearview mirror. A shock ran up her spine, making her head tingle a little. For one moment, reality faded. Replacing the strong, hard jaw; the short, jagged cut of her long, brunette hair; the furious glare that reflected in the mirror; was the girl she had once known: Summer at 16. But all good things have to end, and the 22 year old in Summer stared back into the mirror once more; refusing to let fantasy take place of the cold, hard reality she knew. White knuckles gripping the steering wheel, Summer headed towards London. Towards home. *~*~~`` Well then. Seems like I'm back in the fold, and hopefully here to stay. And yes Liam, all of us fans want to bow down and kiss your feet . . . geez . . . And Sarsy, POST after this so I can get another part of the story in; cause this is too long! Besides, my world is screwed up enough as it is thankyou very much Music blared from all around while lights flicked on and off with the beat, already someone had been carted away suffering an epileptic fit. The alcohol fumes, cigarette smoke and noise was giving Saethi a migraine and a half. He winced and rubbed his head before taking another glass of water. The volume kicked up a notch with a new song, dance track with heavy bass. Saethi winced some more and left the club, ignoring Mazine at the door. Saethi: ow. .never much cared for clubs anyway. . Saethi wandered down the sidewalk and opened up the car. Saethi reaches again to start the engine, but just before the engine turns over, the car is filled with blue sparks, illuminating the street and sending a pillar of blue light to the car. The light fades and the car is empty, locked and the engine gently purring. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Saethi looks around in surprise at the absence of his car that was insulating him from the world. The Harlequin
After shaking off their initial surprise, Spyder seems rather evasive. Cathos is much more forthright. Cathos: You dirty, dirty man. Davien: It's all in the wrist. Cathos: You say that far to often, and their are too many connotations in that sentence. Davien: People believe what they will. Spyder: So what ARE we going to do? Davien: We'll go find a new place to play. Cathos: Where? Davien: Welcome people, to my world. With no further words, Davien ushers them down the stairs, and into yet another car. After cautioning Spyder against stealing or burning this one, he drives to a local cemetery. In the older, wilder, darker area, the area centuries old, now enveloped in strangely comforting dark wood, almost impenetrable to the eye, Davien finds what he is looking for. In a secluded clearing, there is a group of four teenagers, two males, two females. Your average typical teenage male trying to get some. In the dark, his teeth limmed in silver fire, Davien whispers. Davien: Die hand, die verldelezt. Spyder: What was that? And what's going on? Davien: Simple. They do some cheap demon summoning thing they read out of a book they got from the library. The fake a few things, the girls get really scared. The guys comfort them, one thing leads to another, etc. Spyder: So you like to watch to? Davien: They're summoning a demon. I like to make it real. Watch and learn. Davien sneaks off to the other side of the clearing the teenagers are in, climbing a tree soundless and flawlessly even in the dark. There is a pentagram traced out in the centre of the clearing, on a blanket brought along. It's out of blood, probably that of a few mice. One of the teenagers starts a chant from a book. Under his breath, Davien starts his own chant. Cathos shivers as he recognises the emantations from the pentagram. Spyder: They're actually summoning a demon! It may not be wise to be here... Cathos: No they aren't. Spyder: Can't you feel it? Cathos: That's Davien. Spyder: What is he doing! Cathos: Watch and learn. The chant reaches a crescendo. The other male, carefully rehearsed, throws a fire cracker into the middle of the pentagram while the girls are focused on the reader. The one who threw the firecracker, the only one looking at the pentagram, falls back in shock, too scared even to scream. Shimmering in the air, steaming with the cold, stands a demon. The demon advances, grabbing the terrified adolescent by the neck, snapping it instantly. The demon throws the body away, devouring the head. The other three definately hear that. One of the females tries to run, the other two stand transfixed, the way the rat stares at the snake. The last sound the one that attempted to escape ever heard was the crunching of bones as the demon devoured her friends. Then Davien stepped out and caught her, hissing into her face and flashing his incisors at her. As she faints, he sinks his teeth into her neck. Spyder shudders, she can only imagine what the girl must have felt. In an area she considering scary, with people she didn't really trust, trying to summon a demon. They succeeded, the demon killed her friends. Then, she runs into a stark white fiend, some ghost with hideous fangs. The insane being from beyond the grave. Spyder had no time to pity her, as she stood, as transfixed with Davien at his meal as the kids had been with the demon. She watches in sick facination as he slowly withdraws his fangs, almost gently breaking her neck. Staring into the dead eyes a moment, he lowers his mouth again, tearing her throat open completely. Reaching down the gaping wound, he pulls out the still gently beating heart. Smiling he devours about half of it, throwing the other half high in the air, before whipping out a 9mm and shooting it once, a spray of blood and tissue coating the nearby area. He walks back to the clearing. The demon, having finished it's feast, glares at him. Demon: You pitifuly vampyre. You meddle. You think I appreciate being dragged away simply for something like this. You may have summoned me, but you have no control over me. Davien simply smiles as the demon tries to advance, locked in stasis by Davien's will. The demon starts to shimmer again, trying to break free. It's skin mottles, it's body becomes ethereal, and it changes shape wildly, seeking to escape. With a last mournful, resounding wail that seemed to echo up from a thousand years of despair and pain, the demon fades away, from the abyss whence it came. Davien returns to the other two. Cathos seems bored, Spyder slightly surprised. She becomes slightly shocked, however, when she sees his face, coated in blood. Everything from the waist up is a bloodstained mess. it drips from his hair and traces a path down besides his eyes, following an angular trail that appears to leave him with twin lightning bolts down his face. In the soft darkness, he looks horrifying. Davien: You had to see it, no matter how familiar you already were. Spyder: That was, not what I expected. Davien: Like us all, I have a darker side. None of the soft-spokenness, the grace, I have now, but a savage beast. Welcome to my inner soul. Spyder: What now? Davien: I go wash off. I feel slightly fouled. Walking deeper into the wood, they come across a small stream. The other two politely turn their backs as Davien strips off and sluices his clothing of blood, then doing the same to himself. He comes out wearing his dark pants only, his shirt ruined. Davien: It will have to do. So, what now? Spyder, still horrifyed, does not reply, but merely stares at Davien's chest, as if trying to imagine it soaked in blood. Due to some strange property, Davien's exposed skin gleams slightly, a pristine white seemingly incorruptible. That is what worries her most. How quickly, how thoroughly it changed. Davien notes her reaction, he almost seemed grimly expectant of it. Davien: I'm not surprised. But I wanted to show you, so it would hurt less. I mean, before things between us got too far. Spyder: I'm alright. You just surprised me. Remember, I have nothing against death. And the fact that you recently soaked in blood isn't why I'm staring at you. Davien: Oh. Cathos: Ahem. Shall we go? They return to the streets, Davien unconcerned by his unclad state, and messed up hair.

liamc2
Car wrecks lined the streets, yet the shops were in perfect condition, albeit the need of a lick of paint. Saethi walked up the pavement, a prickling sensation on the back of his neck informed him that he was being watched. He spun round to see several shop windows have their blinds closed suddenly. He shivered. This place was really creeping him out. Maybe he was in a coma. .and this was all a dream. .no. Saethi doubled over, trying to regain his breath. The officer grabbed him by the hair and punched Saethi in the face. Saethi let out another gasp of surprise and fell to his knees seeing stars. It was the old concession stand at the drive-in theatre; a popular nesting place for vampires. Summer pulled out the keys, and got out of the car; but not before she popped the boot. Just pulling it open didn't work; Summer pulled too hard, and ended up wrenching it off. "Heh . . . oops . . ." Looks like someone liked their job . . . Summer shrugged again, and used the clip to pull her shoulder-length brunette hair up into a bun. A sudden chill ran up her spine, and the "spidey sense" of the Slayer caused Summer to spin around, her hand reaching for a stake. "Dammit." she whispered. Two hours in freedom and already Summer had forgotten about her lack of weapons. She was being watched though; there wasn't a doubt in the world bout that. Quickly and quietly, Summer reached the building, Slayer instincts on high. She entered, blinking her eyes in the dimness. Empty. Summer laughed, it hinting towards insanity. Totally empty. Still, she had to make sure. The upper story was empty too. However . . . she walked into the small room where the projectionist had done his work. There was a table and several wooden chairs; all legs attached. Summer stopped dead. And stared at what laid on the table. A crossbow. Actually, her crossbow; the one she thought she had lost . . . when her Watcher had been alive . . . Her heart clenched at the thought of Ethan (A/N: Who was a whole lot alike Giles, before he got et (hick for eaten . . .) and sired . . . yeah . . . you guys didn't need to know that . . . did ya?) her first Watcher. That was eight years ago though . . . when Summer was only 14 . . . But the nightmares made it fresh in her mind, each and every night . . . thank god that Slayers don't get much sleep . . . Summer's attention was drawn away from her own memories by the bone-white card sitting next to the crossbow . . . Summer's beginning Summer looked around. Whoever left this knew her, and most likely were watching her this minute. But as all Slayer senses go, Summer knew that no one was around . . . Best to get out and into somewhere . . . safer . . . Hah. Safe wasn't a word in this world. Summer grabbed the crossbow, which tingled a little in her hand, snapped several chairs for stakes, and exited the building as quickly as possible. The hoodie and sweatpants were still in the bag, but Summer didn't care; she could use a change of clothes by now. Summer just through the weapons into the bag, keeping the crossbow out, one thought running through her head: Stay off the streets. *~*~~`` My gigantic need for detail is getting me nowhere . . . someone save me from myself! Aaaahhhh! My writer is coming out and I don't want it too! AAAAHHHHHH!!!! And we now have yet another plot twist in this series: 17 year old Sethi and uh . . . 23 year old Sethi! *shrugs* oh well, double the trouble, double the fun . . . :demon: Oh dear . . . best go before the worst in me starts showing . . . Walnut
ooc: Sorry didn't realise that. I'm gonna post as Al now, since Carren Heart hasn't shown up. IC: Alpha looked out at the pale moon. The stars twinkled brightly in the pitch black sky. Usually Alpha like the night, but now she regarded it with fear. Her old master was free and was probably going to try and lock her for what she did to the remaining servants. Mangus sat in complete silence. Alpha had told him everying about Mazine and her past and he had taken it rather well. Alpha: Mangus, you alright? Mangus: huh...yeah I'm fine Alpha: You're not. Look I'm sorry about not telling you before, but I couldn't I was sworn under oath not to tell anyone, if they be alive or dead. Mangus: But why did you say you would help them fight her? You were her most loyalist servant, you stayed by her through the others mutiniy. You were... Alpha: Shut up Mangus...I was all those things to her. She suspected me of being the one who started the others breaking away. But it wasn't me, but she wouldn't listen. She locked me up in a cross. Can you imagin the pain...the suffering...the longing to get out of that thing? When they said they'd relasise me I took it. Because I wanted to get out, I wanted to hurt her and I wanted to have my own dead life. There was no other way...[she starts to cry] Mangus: Oh Alpha, I'm sorry. It's just that I never guest that you were her servant at one time. But the deamonds and vampires do not know her, she soon might strike and bring the old tales true. What do you surgest we do? Alpha: Find Summer and explain all of this to her.
Ravenstorture
The group emerge from the cemetery and cross the road, a light rain is now falling and the traffic is minimal. However, one car does speed around the corner at a horrendous pace and flattens Spyder across the asphalt. Her terrifically mangled body, being immortal, bursts into flames and disappears, leaving Davien and Cathos staring at a smoking piece of road. Meanwhile, in the Pits of Hell... Satan: So, you managed to get hit by a car, did you? Spyder: Seems so. Satan: Clap, clap, clap. Spyder: Cut the sarcasm, ok? I am not meant to be here. Satan: Oh, where would you like to go? Purgatory? Limbo? I can arrange a nice little cruise down the river Styx if you like... Spyder: What is your problem? Satan: Shut up, you little sluttish whore. I have no sympathy. You are pathetic. You are the most disgusting, pathetic excuse for a demon that I have ever seen and if I could wipe out your very existance, I would. Spyder: But here we are. Satan: So what now? Spyder: I want to go back. Satan: Well, excuse me if I may take much pleasure in not letting you do that ever again. Spyder: Is this meant to be my punishment, is it? Satan: Well, yes, but only because I couldn't think of anything better at the time. Spyder: You disgust me. Satan: Ow. Spyder: I love him. Satan: Pity you didn't tell him that when you had the chance... Spyder: Tell me, Angel Lucifer, did you ever love someone? Satan: **** off out of my sight. I don't care where you go, go to Heaven for all I care, just never let me see you again. Spyder: No, I think I might stay for a chat, actually. Satan: Listen, Spyder. You have no idea to what lengths I will go to put you in immense pain for all eternity. So take the chance I am giving you for a reason I cannot explain. Spyder: I am sorry, my Lord. Satan: I know. You can go now. Spyder leaves the chamber and Satan watches her leaving, a pained look on the devil's face.
