RPG Mythical Warriors of Darkness(PLAYTME!)

[The Harlequin]

Davien: Done.

[I]Davien throws his twin viper sideways, leaving it impaled in a tree. Alastuin and Davien circle each other, each waiting for the minute tightening of the eyes before an attack. Davien throws a kick at Alastuin's head, but Alastuin throws it accros Davien's body, meaning to unbalance him. Davien however, pivots and brings his other foot round in an outer crescent, striking Alastuin in the side of the head. Even as he lands, Davien starts throwing quick jbs, never actually landing a hit, but keeping Alastuin off balance. Eventually, Davien mistimes a jab, and Alastuin grabs his hand and pulls him forward, flipping him over her shoulder. After receiving several stunning kicks tot he head, he manages to capture her foot and jerk her off balance. Rolling to his feet, Davien is immediately engaged with a flurry of punches, many of them striking. After a jab that went slightly too far, too fast, Davien goes on the offensive, ducking and turning around, then flipping backwards. As he lands he strikes Alastuin hard in the back with the ridge of his hand. She immediately regains her balance and spins round, striking him in the ribs with her elbow. Wrapping his arm around hers, Davien trips her and puts her in an armlock, that threatens to displace her shoulder. Desperate, Alastuin kicks him in the back from her face down position, sending him tumbling over her. The two roll to their feet, and again circle each other.

This time, Alastuin attacks first, using her nails to stab at Davien's eye. Davien ducks under the attack, and palm slams her in the chin as she rises. She stumbles back, eyes glazed. Davien moves in quickly, sensing she is near to finished. Easily entrapping the frantic punch she throws at his head, he draws her arm up behind her back, and kicks her feet out from under her. Again grabbing her ankles, he starts to drag her again, reclaiming his twin viper on the way.[/I]

Davien: You didn't really expect to win did you? I'll admit though, you did make it difficult for me. You're better than anyone I've run into for a long, long time. And you're probably the best person I've run into that's still alive. Oh never worry, I will kill you, but I'm going to make things very uncomfortable for you first. Besides, I have a few things to take care of in the village, and a hostage never hurts.

[Ravenstorture]

[color=darkgreen]Alastuin: I don't care what you are doing, or where you are taking me or how - just don't expect me to expend any more energy. I am spent. You are the best fighter I have ever come across, and I don't fight assasins, only villagers who try to burn my house down. I trained myself to fight, and it really drains my energy anyway. So just... whatever.

[I]Alastuin faints, her body becoming heavy to Davien's grip, immediately reopening the wound on her ankle.[/I][/color]

[The Harlequin]

[I]Davien drops Alastuin's ankles and arranges her in a postion of repose.[/I]

Davien: Damn you held out a while there... I was thinking that I was going to have to seriously injure you for a while there...

Alastuin: Talking to yourself?

[I]Alastuin's eyes snap open, taking Davien by surprise. Before he can react, Alastuin kicks him in the head, knocking him unconscious.[/I]

Alastuin: I take a remark or two of mine back. So, I guess this means I won. Still...

[I]Raiett flies in and lands on Davien's shoulder, looking menacingly at Alastuin. Alastuin quickly backs away, and sits down on a nearby stump, pondering what to do with the now inert body.[/I]

[Ravenstorture]

[color=darkgreen][I]Alastuin takes her spider out of her pocket and kisses it lightly before throwing it in the air. Raiett takes the bait and launches into the air, but Alastuin catches the spider and pockets it, hissing at the bird. The raven swoops low, aiming at Alastuin's face, and she catches the bird and flips it upside down before swinging it back and forth slowly, putting it to sleep. She then places it in a deep pocket of her coat and walks over to Davien. Pausing momentarily, she reaches down and slings him over her shoulder, well aware that the unconsciousness is probably as fake as hers was, and she was about to take a knife in the back. However, staggering slighly under his weight, she walks back through the forest towards the town of Kendale.[/I][/color]

[Ugamon]

kredion: i should have followed her.

amy: and done what exactly?

kredion: i could hold davien i have done it before he is a very talented assassin and that makes him very good at this job.

harper: man i can't belive he can hurt people like that!

kredion: i am not really surprised.

harper: why not?

kredion: becuase before i became a twilight i was a assassin too

amy: whaaaa!

kredion: but i think i am just as good with 2 swords

harper: hmmmmmmmmmm

kredion: lol i wish that people would understand that even when we we are at are darkest that we have light deep withen.

[The Harlequin]

[I]The group turns as Alastuin staggers back into the village. As she approaces them, Davien slides off her shoulder, rolls to his feet, and bows to her.[/I]

Davien: Thank you for the ride. Anyway. Would one of you mind telling me what this [I]pressing[/I] interest with me is all about, other than perhaps unmitigated social justice?

[I]Not receiving an answer, only a dark look from Kredion, Davien shifts his focus.[/I]

Davien: No? Didn't think so. Well then, on to other matters. Tell me Kredion, are you ready to be welcomed back into the fold?

[I]Kredion says nothing, only throwing another warning glare at Davien.[/I]

Davien: You know, even after you lost, you didn't have to leave. It was only custom, not rule.

Alastuin: What are you on about?

Davien: Well people, I'm not supposed to tell you this, but considering my position I have a little leeway. Alright then. Assasins are not just individual people. We have a governing body, so to speak. It lays regulations down, who can be killed etc. Stops authorities getting too excited about our activities, and we can bribe them off if they do. It's a safety net, and one of the more powerful factions in the world. Now, we have this organisation in power, yet no way to express it. So what do they do? They hold a tournament. Major reward, a few missteps here and there etc. Now, I hope your following me so far, because this is where it takes a sharp turn left. On top of the thigns such as traversing pits and all that other adventure stuff, there was a melee at hte end. The last contest. Who did it fall down to? You guessed it. Me, and our mutual friend.

Kredion: You bastard. You know you would have lost in a real fight.

Davien: Why's that?

[I]Kredion looks uncomfortable.[/I]

Kredion: I didn't want to kill you.

Davien: Now people, there you have why I am the best assasin around. My willingness to kill. Kredion and I never resolved who was better. It's been a long time coming.

[I]With that, Davien starts to spin his twin viper in a continuous motion, stepping away from the others. Kredion too steps away, but draws no weapon. Davien stops, shrugs and relaxes.[/I]

Davien: Fine then. We'll settle this some other time. Until then...

[I]Davien turns to leave, but is restrained by Alastuin's hand on his arm. He gives her a questioning look.[/I]

Davien: Must you persist?

[Ravenstorture]

Alastuin: yes, actually, I must. You did ask us a question, did you not? Why walk away when it has not as yet been answered?

Davien: Ah, yes.

Alastuin: I draw your attention back to the night I welcomed you into my home. There was a comment about the marking on my forehead. About you, also, recieveing such a marking? Well, once I had informed the others about it there was a bit of yelling "Oh my god we've got to find Davien." So I went off to find you.

Davien: Why you?

Alastuin: ......

Davein: Hmmmm. So what is the story about the runes, then?

[The Harlequin]

Amy: Well. All those who have the mark are the Chosen Ones!

Davien: You kept me busy for that?

Amy: But, we're the ones who are going to destroy the Dark Lords! We're going to save the world!

Davien: Oh god. That's just what I need. Some forsaken, indignified, duplicitous, debaclous, farcious travesy like this. Damn, I really have better things to do.

[I]At that moment, Raiett flies in, startling the group, except for Alastuin and Kredion, who already know the bird.[/I]

Davien: You're really pushing this time Raiett.

[I]Davien sighs, and looks around as if wishing he were somewhere else.[/I]

Davien: Alright, this damn bird tells me not only to believe you, but to go along with you. So, I guess I'll have to ignore the fact that I have earnt the emnity of several of you, and partake in whatever damnfool adventure some twisted mind dreamed up. When do we start?

[Ravenstorture]

Alastuin: Hell, why don't we start now. I'm ready, and it looks as if you all are too. I have everything I need, and I wasn't planning to go home for a while anyway.

Davien: Where are we going, exactly? And also why, that's the main thing.

Amy: We are going to the [I]highlands[/I] to fight the [I]Mythical warriors of Darkness.[/I]

Alastuin: Key word there being [I]mythical[/I].

Amy: What are you talking about, they're perfectly real!

Davien: If there is such a thing as "perfectly real"....

Alastuin: All I know about are the Four Towers.

Amy: yeah, that's it.

Alastuin: Ok, I'm in.[/color]

Socks: O.K., I've waited long enough. You guys haven't noticed? there's a Ghost of Hate here. I can here it, but can you?

amy: What? Socks....Who's it got hold of?

Socks: No one right now, but it's heading for.....

[Ugamon]

kredion: i still belive that even if you were able to try and defeat the lords you would need better weapons we talked about this while alastuin was seraching for davien.

amy: woah woah hold it right there what do you mean by you?

kredion: your not seriously thinking of draging me along are you?

davien: muhahahaa if i am going SO are you. unless you rather battle me personally.

kredion: shut up davien i have goteen stronger since we last met but i wonder if there is still more people to be found and as a personal note what good am i without the 2th twilight?

davien:..... what 2th twilight? i thought that was just a legend.

socks: lol for a assassin you sure miss alot.

{davien glares at the cat.}

alastuin: well we are not geting anywhere just siting around.

davien: hey kredion do you still have your secert weapon?

kredion: uhhhhh yeah but i neaver need it.

davien: well you may for i will drag you along if i have to.

kredion: k lets the hail to the death leader of ours oh wait we don't have one.

amy: we must vote.

[The Harlequin]

OOC: Ugamon, please make your posts clearer. And it's 2nd...

Davien: To put things bluntly, I think not. Leaders are not good. Leaders deserve to be killed, strung up on a fence, and buried. No one likes leaders, no one pays attention to them.

[Ravenstorture]

[color=darkgreen]Alastuin: Ahem, here here. I say we just go. I have my weapons, and I know where we are going, so.... I'm leaving.

[I]Alastuin walks off, not bothering to see if anyone's following.[/I]

Davien: Are you going to give me my raven back?

Alastuin(patting her hip): Come and get it.

[The Harlequin]

OOC: Well, nobody posted for a while, so I will. Sorry everyone.

[I]Davien sighs in disgust, and stalks after her. Reaching her quickly, his hand darts in and grabs Raiett, pulling the disgruntled bird out. Without even pausing for thanks, the bird flies off.[/I]

Davien: Ungrateful wretch.

Alastuin: Do you really think that bird understands you? And how do you understand it?

Davien: We are talking about a former familiar.

Alastuin: Let me guess, spoils of war.

Davien: Exactly.


[I]Alastuin and Davien slow down as the others run after them. It will be a long, annoying trip.[/I]

[Ugamon]

kredion: i got a feeling i am about to be very annoyed this whole trip, prolly davien's plan.

amy: bah he is just trying to help.

kredion: yeah right not if he has not changed at all .

socks: we better be on our toes.

kredion: how do i get suckered in to these things?

davien: cuz you are too guilable

kredion: remind me to kill you later.

davien: oh so you do have a bit of killing spirit left.

kredion: shut up or your first!

amy: my god how did we get stuck with 2 assassins?

kredion: 1 EXassassin

socks: right!

davien: we are wasteing ..

kredion: DEMON'S DANCE!

davien: WHAT THE!

{ kredion pulls both his swords out and both glow a strange grey and kredion starts to spin in the air}

alastuin: ENOUGH! DISPELL!

{kredion stops spining and falls on the ground.}

davien: so you learned a bit of magic huh.

kredion: more then you will ever.

{kredion pulls out his strange egg to make sure it was not crushed in the fall it appears to have no flaws in it surface.}

davien: oh you crush my heart to see you care for something other then your self. NOT

kredion: grrrr i wonder what is in this egg.

alastuin: hmmm looks to be a large bird or lizard.

kredion: a eagle or cobra?

davien: a typcalr rouge assassin.

amy: hmm it looks like a grffen egg i have seen them before very rare and very loyal if get them when babys.

kredion: good it may be a good helper.

[The Harlequin]

Davien: Assuming I let you live long enough to use it.

[I]Kredion starts to repeat his Demon Dance attack, but this, ready for it, Davien merely leans back and kicks him out of the air.[/I]

Davien: As I believe I've told you before, you're too showy. Tight controlled attacks work better. Now, since your arrogance has managed to delay us somewhat, I believe I'll disappear. Do as you will.

[I]Davien turns and walks off, uncaring if the others follow or not.[/I]

[color=darkgreen][I]Alastuin catches up with Davien and walks with his ahead of the others.[/I]

Davien: What do you want now?

Alastuin: Reconciliation.

Davien: [I]Re[/I]conciliation? Where did the [I]re[/I]come from?

Alastuin: Probably before I met you. But I thought that it would be sensible as -

Davien: Sensible? Don't treat me like I am an idiot. You are not doing this to be sensible, you are doing it to ensure yourself comfort - a luxury around me.

Alastuin: Surely not. What have I ever done to you?

Davien: You got in my way. Not to mention my bed too.

Alastuin: Ha! We both know I may not be alive right now had it not been for that.

Davien: That's why I find it particularly annoying that you found me....

Alastuin: Well, like it or not, you will be spending some time with me. And we need our energy to be saved for the fighting [I]other[/I] creatures...

Davien: [I]You[/I] may need to, I however don't tend to spend any energy fighting you.

Alastuin: Yeah. You seemed rather relaxed when I carried you into Kendale.

Davien: Why did you do that, anyway? If you knew I was faking it?

Alastuin: What else would I have done? Poked you with the toe of my boot and said, "Please, Davien, come with me before it gets dark. I'm scared!"

Davien: *glare*

Alastuin: I had to take you, otherwise there was no way I could have retrieved you successfully.

Davien: What would you have done had I have knifed you in the lower back?

Alastuin(sarcastically): Rolled around bleeding for a while. Well, I was carrying you, if I had felt you make the slightest move I would have dropped you and broken your neck.

Davien: I think not, somehow.

Alastuin: Of course I wouldn't have, but it sounded impressive.

[/color]

[The Harlequin]

Davien: Of course, I probably wouldn't knife you in the back, so you had a fair amount of leeway.

Alastuin: Why not?

Davien: I have some more interesting methods at hand.

Alastuin: I imagine you do.

Davien: So how long do you think this debacle will go on before everyone realises that no one here particularly likes each other and that there is no point to this?

Alastuin: You really believe that?

Davien: Which bit, the first or second?

Alastuin: Both.

Davien: Well, I know the first part is basically constant, I'm not so sure about the second part. But I have no objection to the current status quo.

Alastuin: Never mind the job opportunities that would spring up for one such as you in the wake of the chaos that would ensue should we succeed...

[I]Davien's eyes narrow slightly, and his face changes slightly. Perhaps it's meant to be some kind of expression.[/I]

Davien: Very shrewd. I'll have to compare that. I hate extrapolating scenarios. By the way, how did we get stuck as scouts?

Alastuin: You walked off, and I wanted reconciliation remember?

Davien: Damn. I was hoping you had forgotten...

Alastuin: Well, how good are you at climbing trees?

Davien: Good enough. Why...?

Alastuin: I was considering climbing one to see how close we are to the edge of the forest, which towns are around, where we are going etcetera.

Davien: Why?

Alastuin: Because I want to know where we are going.

Davien: And I want to know why.

Alastuin: Well, some philosophers and alchemists climb trees to clear their heads, but I don't know if we have time.

Davien: Ha ha ha. How about that one? [I]He points to a tall pine tree twenty metres or so ahead.[/I]

Alastuin: Looks good. You or me?

Davien: Hmmmm.... you, this time. I have already climbed two in your company, I would rather like to see this side of you.

Alastuin: What?!

Davien:..... I didn't mean it that way!

Alastuin:*glare* Oh well, I suppose it's only fair.

[I]Alastuin walks over to the tree and begins to climb it, scaling the evenly spaced branches quickly. Once she has reached the top she laces her legs aroung the thin trunk and parts the foliage, looking about her.[/I]

[The Harlequin]

[I]Realising the he had a few minutes before the others turned up, Davien sighed and started to clamber up the branches. When he reached just below Alastuin, he walks out over one of the thicker branches and leaps up, pulling himself up so that he is level with her.[/I]

Davien: How's the view?

Alastuin: Not bad.

[I]Davien looks around, noting that the forest is far more extensive than he originally thought. [/I]

Davien: Do you actually like climbing trees? Because you really ignored the obvious here.

Alastuin: Oh?

Davien: Raiett.

Alastuin: I don't really mind. Why did you waste your energy coming up here, other than your yearning for my company?

Davien: That is really offensive.

Alastuin: Glad you liked it. So?

Davien: I wanted to see for myself.

Alastuin: Don't trust me?

Davien: I don't trust anyone. Not even that damn bird I spend so much time following around. I would have though you would have understood that.

[I]For a long moment Alastuin is silent, before quickly climbing down the tree. Davien takes one last glance around, before merely leaping out, landing easily.[/I]

Alastuin: Well, no end in sight. So we wait, and make a group decision.

Davien: Have fun.

[I]Davien ascends the tree again, leaping from branch to branch more than climbing.[/I]

Alastuin(calling to Davien): What are you doing?

[I]No reply. Alastuin notes that the others seemed to have been held up, but instead of going to investigate she sits at the base of the pinetree and takes out her spider, letting it crawl over her fingers. She mutters words to it in a strange language, and the spider pays no attention, walking continuously over her fingers like a conveyor belt, never seeming to tire. Davein leaps gracefully down from the tree and watches Alastuin talk to her spider for a few miutes. She has not heard him land.[/I]

[The Harlequin]

Davien: The others not coming?

[I]Alastuin starts, her spider jumping down as her hand shakes. She glares at him.[/I]

Alastuin: How should I know? They seem to have been held up.

Davien: Well, they can look after themselves. We have a more important problem.

Alastuin: Oh?

Davien: How to fill in the intervening gap.

[I]Alastuin turns and looks penetratingly at him.[/I]

Alastuin: For someone who professes to hate me, you seem not to mind being alone with me.

Davien: We all lie a lot.

Alastuin: You know I'm the closest thing to a friend you're going to get in this particular group?

Davien: And you think I should try and cultive that?

Alastuin: Depends on what you mean by that.

Davien: oh god. Don't start that again. You know exactly what I mean. I should try to reduce your hostilty towards me.

Alastuin: Hostility towards you? Me?

[Ravenstorture]

[color=darkgreen]Davien: Yes, that is correct.

Alastuin: How would [I]you[/I] reduce my hostility towards [I]you[/I] anyway, hmmm?

Davien: Well, there are a number of ways.

Alastuin(standing up): I'm listening.

Davien: No, you're not, you are preparing for a fight.

Alastuin: Oh, am I? Sorry, I didn't notice.

Davien: Hmmmm.

[I]Alastuin walks over to Davien and stands close to him, placing her hands on his shoulders.[/I]

Alastuin: You sound awfully annoyed...

Davien(startled): I wasn't....

Alastuin: Wasn't?

Davien(pushing her away): But I might be soon.

[The Harlequin]

Alastuin: Why?

Davien: I don't like being startled like that.

Alastuin: You mean by physical contact?

Davien: Yes.

Alastuin: Well, if you know about it, it's not startling.

[I]Again, Alastuin puts her hands on Davien's shoulders, and stares into his eyes. Davien holds her gaze a moment, and drops it, turning, still in her grasp, and sighing bitterly. Behind him, Alastuin smiles to herself, in a decidedly self-satisfied manner.[/I]

kredion: grrr if i could use the twilight force he would have meet his maker!

amy: well you can't so get over it.

socks: well if we don't hurry we are going to be left behind

amy: hey kredion.

kredion: yeah?

amy: did i ever try that chossen one spell on you yet?

kredion: nope ( hehe what davien don't know is that i have more then my old supid serect weapon.)

socks: umm amy.

amy: what is it socks?

socks: 2 things.1 we are going to be left BEHIND! and 2 kredion looks like he just was eaten by a very large minotuar.

amy: how do you know about minotuars?

socks: i stole your monster book!

amy: OH!

kredion: i have one place to go before i can join your "quest".only davien knows the answar to my question.

amy: ok by before you go can i check you?

kredion: as soon as i get my question over with.
