Well my dear boy... It is a simple matter of using your FPV (First person veiw) to look around the room.

From memory you must crawl into the jumble of pipes from the bottom left corner. Then make your way left, towards the middle, by crawling under pipes.

Then, you will come to one pipe, and instead of going under, and to the other side, you must get under the pipe, then follow it's path down towards the middle.

Now, just simply look around and you will find the bomb, coolent spray, and it's all over :)

Although neo, I bet your info is helpful, I'm way passed it. I figured that ya had to crawl under a pipe. Now, I can't seem to figure out where to go right now (Im naked and the colonel is trying to tell me to turn off the console- plant mission and the colonel is going ballistic about stupid stuff. He starts speaking japenese, talks about his past, and faces the wrong way during a nanocummunication)

Once again, try to improve your post quality. Capitalize, use spacing, and improve your spelling if you can. I've edited your message to make it more understandable. There is a rule against being incoherent. -Crazy White Boy

Well, Fly-T, simply avoid the guards and go up the stairs. Get Box 5, on the left side. On the northeastern part of the catwalk, there should be a door. Go through it to enter the next hallway. That should set you on the right track! ;)

Ya i Fugred that part already but I discovered that ya had to stand around for a while b4 the doors would actually work
and was my post really messed up??

Yep, it was pretty messy. I really don't pick on people and yours wasn't the worst I've ever seen. You really just needed better capitalization and punctuation. It's really hard to read posts when sentences run together. Maybe try running your posts through a spelling/grammar checker and you'll see how much it helps you. :) -Crazy White Boy

Ok, I dont need help with getting past anything in the game cuz I already beat it. I went to some of the cheat places on the net and looked at the pictures and saw snake holding a machine gun during the tanker mission. It didnt look like any of the machine guns raiden can get. I looked more like the Famas from the PS1 vr. How can I get this machine gun he has?

Yes, it is indeed the FA-MAS. However, the screen shot that you see there is merely one from a previous developement, in which it was later changed. Metal Gear Solid 2 director Hideo Kojima explains the situation in more detail.
The game was first developed with the FA-MAS, but we turned it into the M4 to be consistent with the story. [Graphics Supervisor] Yoji Shinkawa and others who know a lot about guns begged us to drop the FA-MAS. Many people who saw the early trailer have said that the gun should not be FA-MAS as well. We had to drop all the polygon models and character motions involving the FA-MAS as a result. What a waste!
There you have it. I believe that with the FA-MAS, it would have had potential to create cooler shooting scenes, but without it the game is still great. Perhaps the FA-MAS would make the combat only that much more easy, and in the long run it was a good desicion to cut it. Oh well.

The bandana is available only in the Tanker episode for Snake. After you've accumulated about 30 to 40 of the dog tags from the Tanker, this item will become available. The next game on the Tanker will have this item already in Snake's inventory. When he has it equipped, he will never run out of ammo.

Eh..? I thought you had to collect all the dog tags on any setting until you get to about 100 or so. I have all the dog tags on Very Easy mode on the Tanker, just need to do it on Easy mode now.

I believe that both of you are correct on this one. My reliable sources tell me that you need around 30 tags from the tanker to get the bandana, which gives you infinite ammo and can be obtained on any difficulty. However, there is also a reward for the infinite wig (brown), which requires 80 tags from the plant to unlock, giving you infinite ammo for Raiden.

I, myself, have not spent too much time on getting the tags. The time that I have spent was focused on getting the bandana on the tank, in which I currently have around 8. Ah, Metal Gear Solid 2 is so great, it seems the fun just never ends.

I found out how to get it:

Wigs:
Get 50 or more dog tags under the very easy, easy, or normal difficulty settings to get a brown wig. It allows unlimited ammunition, but does not prevent reloading. Get 150 or more dog tags under the hard difficulty setting to get an orange wig. It allows infinite grip. Get all the dog tags to get a blue wig. It allows unlimited oxygen when underwater.

Stealth, Bandanna and Wig bonuses:
Complete the following goals to get the Stealth (invisibility), Bandanna (unlimited ammo for Snake), and the Wig (unlimited ammunition for Raiden). To get Stealth and Bandanna, complete the Tanker mission three times on three different difficulty settings (all on the same saved file) and get all the dog tags. To get Stealth and Wig, complete the plant three times on three different difficulty settings (all on the same save file) and get all the dog tags.
