I am the exact same way! I am a prep and popular yes and I a not scared to admitt it. The reason I am is because if you aren't then you are a loser and you are bullie and picked on etc.. I have the hair gel and the abercrombie shirt, the necklace the fossil watch going on. *Thinks: Now I am going to have all of these people on me.*

I'm not picked on or a bully. Your wardrobe only defines a limited portion of your personality.

I was talking about that you get bullied and picked on at my school. I didn't say that is happened anywhere else, cause I wouldn't know.

Well out of school I wear Skater stuff, Baker, Rowley, Hawk, Blind, Spitfire, Element.., All that stuff, although they are getting old and I need to buy some new stuff. I wear Rowley navy shoes, with a silver metal chain from Mexico, with a Cross on it, I had an Italian Horn, but I can't find it [Yes I'm 95% Italian, just wasn't born there]. I did have a watch, its just getting fixed, its Guess Waterpro, the only piece of prep wear I have [atleast I think it is preppy] I gel my hair and spike it. I'm going to dye it a green, atleast with the gel that I'm going to get, it washes out, its the only way my parents will let me dye my hair, its really cool, my friend let me use his on a school trip, we went to some place, I forgot the name

If I could, I would go to school looking like Hizumi from this picture.

But alas, I don't have the money for suck elaborate clothing... but I would look good wearing this.

I like out there clothing... if you come to school in a jacket with flashing lights and tight leather pants with shoes that are bright green... well first I'd tell you, you need to match your colors next time, but then I'd be like... wow... thats so awesome... You gotta be different, cause if you are the same in whatever, no matter style of clothes or this or that, you're going to be bland, boring, and just blah when it comes to everything else.

No one cares about what you wear in college, as long as you're clean.

I've literally seen people come to morning classes wearing pajamas. Heck, the instructor's don't even bother dressing up nicely sometimes.

I personally, like the carefree attitude. It has to have something to do with maturity.

The one thing that's always made me laugh, are kids that wear $150 shoes and think they're better than people who wear less expensive shoes. I mean, unless those suckers have jet rockets or something they aren't worth that much to me. Fifty dollars is plenty for a pair. I'll take the rest of that money and buy an outfit to go with 'em, lol.

Lol, the one on the far right looks like it could be done simply enough. Wear a bunch of tight clothing and have someone spray you down with silly string :p Lol

But clothes in school... Clothes seem to be important to a lot of people there.. Most of the people I hang out with and myself could really care less. I mean, all I ever usually wear is jeans some shirts and a hoodie ( usually wear a few layers of clothing, whether it's hot or cold ). It is pretty blah, but I'm not one to worry too much about my image, plus my mom won't let me go out of the house if I look weird... -er than I laready do. I would probably wear different clothes that appeal to me more if I had the money to get what I want, but I don't. Nor do I know where to find them without going into hot topic ::shudders:: And the goodwill never has anything in my size. I'm not too gender specific with my clothes, at least at places like a goodwill store. Though then it is REALLY hard to find your size because of the difference in sizes from men to women.

Sometimes I tend to fall into phases wear I will only where certain kinds of clothes. Most often I'll start wearing all black (which I've been told I look sexy in ;)) and other times it something kind of odd.. Like, wearing pants under shorts, cause I don't like to wear shorts, but I feel like if I have them, I should use them at least every so often.
Originally posted by Crazy White Boy

Heck yeah! whoo hoo! that's a cutie if I ever saw one ^_^. I like the rocker/punk look. Anywho, back to topic.

Clothes are clothes; articles of fabric to insulate body temperature and cover your body so as to maintain modesty. If you wanna snaz this shell up, go ahead. But if you try to base your personality, the type of people you associate with, etc. on articles of fancy or not-so-fancy fabric........... I do feel sorry for you. It's quite shallow to put worth into something so base. It is important to have respect for yourself and try to present yourself as a clean-cut and decent human being, but no one with a good solid foundation in life would care as to if their clothes have a certain tag on them.

I hate clothes, which is pretty much a laugh considering that I have worked retail at clothing stores for three years. In my high school it didn't seem that clothes mattered so much for popularity, but it did help to classify you into a certian click.

I always just tend to buy what I like and what is comfortable...I guess I have never been terribly fashionable...

Eh, I pretty much wear what I want to. People say that I dress "preppy" or whatever...but I don't particularly care.

To answer to question: Yes and No. Many people don't give a second thought to what they're used to seeing people wear. But at the same time, clothes sort of 'define' where you stand in the 'social order'. However, if someone were to come to school dressed differently than they normally do, that might cause a small sensation...did I make any sense?

Meh, my crew of outcasts wears whatever the heck it wants...

But seriously--I never wear the 'popular' clothes. I've just always tended to avoid...I dunno...trends or whatnot. I wore an aberwhatchamathingy shirt one day--it was actually a spoof, heh...Abreadcrumb and Fish--and a couple kids nearly had a heart attack. During lunch, in the halls--"Did you see? Sara's wearing an Abercrombie shirt!" Oh my gosh, I nearly died laughing....

Uniforms... And all the girls wear their skirts excessively long, no matter what season it is... BAH!

*downloads Sailor moon movies*

Better. As for out of school hours, I don't care what I wear. As long as it's black.

Nooooo, we never have those "out of uniforms" days....
We have them... and I always make sure to wear uniform on thoes days cause I like to be different than everyone else and I don't like paying a gold coin donation for it.

To tell the truth though, I haven't worn uniform all term so far because the school has changed the uniform rules. Now we can't wear black or grey pants, we can only wear navy blue... which is a problem seeing it's hard to find a pair of blue pants with out some sort of stripe down the side.
But I really don't care about my clothes, sure I'd prefer more but I'm happy with what I have... although I don't really like being decked out in black too much

Well we don't have much people in our svhool with "style". Some older High Schoolers might wear all black, nd baggy jeans that cover there shoes. They also might keep a hood up.But were I am at, well no one gets real fancy. There are some people that wear shorts under snap of pants in the winter. So they take them off when they get to school. Me, you ask, I am plain and simple. Whatever i can find in my dresser that fits will do. But I'm not a fasion person. And our school is a regular school.

Abercrombie and Fitch and American Eagle and all that other crap, and if you don't wear that, you're out. That's the only way to fit in!
:drunk: At your school? I'm assuming you're still in middle school. All of that changes in high school, and by your junior year you'll find that basically no one really cares about what you wear.

Senior year will be full of wearing sweatpants (like team ones that say "[name of school] Football" on them, for example) and hooded sweatshirts. That's basically all I wear to school...and quite frankly, I don't give a damn :p

Yeah, I am in Middle School, 7th grade to be exact. It pretty much sucks since our dress code is so strict. Oh, does anyone know why girl's shorts are getting so short? I couldn't find any decent, non-slut shorts at ANY of the malls where I live!(Houston) It's almost 100 degrees out here, and I'm still wearing jeans to school!:cross:

I had to wear uniforms back in elementary and middle school. Everyone wore the same thing, so what made you then were your shoes and if you had one of those "Tommy" keychains around your neck. At my high school, it's all about the clothes. All the popular kids wear Polo and all that other crap. It determines wheather people even approach you. I really don't care what I wear as long as I don't step out the door and people look at me as if I've lost what little mind I have. And it's gotta be dark.

We also have to wear a uniform but we do get days , very few, where we get to wear our own clothes. So clothes aren't that much of a problem there. But in my 'hood you have to wear whatever looks good, it doesn't really matter about the labels, but it helps, except when some dude comes up to mug you, in which case the less expesive the stuff that you wearing, the better you gonna come out of it, know what ahm sayin'. I was afraid to wear shorts to school, because I'm always paranoid about getting dress code, even though my shorts are fine. But now it's too hot to wear jeans, so I'm finally wearing my shorts. ^^ I think some girls' shorts are shorter than others, like when their butts are haning out....:therock: But the short-shorts are just the style now, and I think they look a whole lot better than long shorts, but still, it's not always necessary to have them quite so short. But still, they do look better...;) lol

My middle school was either Tommy, Ecko, Mudd, Nike, Adidas, so forth and so on. If you didn't wear that stuff every single day then you're the social outcast for three years.

My high school is different. People will wear whatever they want, and will get almost no hassle from everyone.

Ah, I love my new school...
