What causes the most arguements and rivalries when you play it? Favourites are Monopoly, Risk, Ludo, in my experience, though I could be wrong.

What are yours? I usually end up with a snivelling cousin after I play (He always thinks someones cheating).

I like the backhand, dirty deals you can make with players though...

I voted for Monopoly as well, but it is hilarious when you get us started on one of those arguments. My youngest sister got that game for Christmas and we all sat around and played it and we didn't know the rules and we were totally being taken advantage of by my dad, but then I read the rules, so I became the expert on the game. I always am the banker, too, that way no injustice can be done. But yeah, that's one heck of a fun game when you have alot of people to play.

I say monopoly. it's so fun when you get into an auction on a property that a person wants you just keep them going higher and higher....until the bid stands at like 900 bucks for St. James Place then they say $1000 and you yell sold! and they get all mad because they payed 1000 bucks for St. James Place! So fun. :D

I think it's funny whenever people spend all their money getting all the good property and they're about to go bankrupt but they just will NOT sell you the ONE piece of property you need, but then they end up going out, so the banker (hehe, me) gets to auction it off for whatever price I want...*laughs madly*

Of course Monopoly provokes anger-- I mean, a game about monopolies just screams "CHEAT," LIE," and "STEAL."

However, I chose "other." When I was little(r), me and my sister used to have this board game version of Frogger. But no matter how the game started, we would ALWAYS end up fighting over something, someone would throw the game, we;d be sent to our respective rooms, so forth and so on...

So, yeah, bit of my life story there.

Risk, the game takes forever to set up, and it takes too long to finish. Nothing is more frustrating than spending five hours on a game only to have your friend knock over all the pieces.

I'd have to say Risk... Fights have never actually broken out, but there've been some good arguments... Especially when you make an allience with another person, only to break it two turns later and take over half their territories, LOL. That is stabbing someone in the back. Ironically enough, Risk happens to be my favorite board game. I actually enjoy watching the other players squirm as I try to decide whether or not to break an alliance with them, LOL. Then I watch as they get mad when I do break the alliance, and I storm through their territories, taking them over one by one until they only have a few left... Of course, someone else then proceeds to sweep in and take over a bunch of my newly acquired territories from the back, since you always seem to have to leave a bunch with only one army in it... And so the process begins anew, and repeats over and over, until finally someone can't keep up anymore and they lose. It always gets interesting when you get down to two people, and the tide just surges back and forth, with neither player able to hold on to a bunch of territories for more than a turn, LOL.

But yeah, that's my oppinion about Risk... Such a fun game, yet always seems to be taken more seriously than it should...

Risk is definatly one of the best board games around. But the playstation game risk, is bloody awesome! Me and a good friend of mine play it all the time, whenever we can get it out of the video shop :P

But is done really well on thwe playstation, because you don't have to use the dice to figure out battles. It's done by a computer, and on how many guys you have.

Plus there are cool little CG scenes of the battles, and you even get to choose the moves and everything.

Great game.

Actually, one of my friends has the PC version of Risk and I've played that. I'm guessing it's the same as the PlayStation version. It is nice not to have to roll the dice, but sometimes I like rolling them. Just having the numbers come up on the screen doesn't seem as real as actual dice... Or something like that... For the most part, I prefer dice, except when I'm tired and don't want to bother with all the pieces and stuff. But the PC version is cool because you can play online with your friend(s), without him/her having to come over to your house or you coming over to his/her house. So I like PC version more, overall, because of the online play.

Well, I sure don't know about the rest of you, but the most violent game I've ever played had to be Spoons. You get people diving into the middle of the circle, wrestling with eachother, throwing things, fighting, hitting, yelling....

Random History Trivia: The game used to be played with forks, but there were too many deaths, so they changed it...
