RPG Spiderman: The Goblin Assault

[I]Spider sat upon the edge of a roof of a skyscraper, in his casual clothes. He looked out over the waking town of New York, the air was cool, crisp, much like it was every day at this time. Spider loved New York at this time....... it was still quiet, not something usually recognised in New York.

The sun was low in the sky over in the East, barely visible over Manhattan's buildings. Spider looked about...... and then looked down in the street below. A smart looking man in a suit, carrying a breifcase which was handcuffed to his wrist, was walking down the street, and in an alley nearby, an armed gang was waiting...... possibly for the man.

Spider wasted no time. He pressed his legs up against the building, and pushed himself off, free-falling from the sky-scraper. He flew downwards, the wind whipping his hair and clothes violently. Suddenly, a black and red patterned 'blob' extended out from his back. It spread to about twice Spiders size, and then wrapped around him like it swallowed him. The blob quickly took the form of Spider's body, the spider symbol on his chest and back now clearly visible.

Still spider continued to free-fall, no expressions rang in his face now, simply because all that could be seen on his face were two eyes. He extended his arm forward, and suddenly a thin white chord whipped outwards, attatching to a nearby building. Spider was hurled forward at amazing speed, before releasing the web from his grip. Elegantly flipping backwards, he unleashed another web, at the alley wall above the gangs position. He zip-lined forward, silently attatching to the wall about 20 feet above the gang.

Spider released his legs from the wall, and vaulting off with his arms, he flipped forward in a 540* somersault, landing crouched down on his feet in the middle of the gang.

Gang1: Oh loook..... another Spiderman wannabe. Lets show him what for boys, before breifcase reaches us.

Craig: Oh, so you are planning to rob him. I thought as much.

A gang mamber suddenly pulled out a chain from his belt, and swung it at Spider. Spider leapt upwards in a backflip, reaching about 15 feet in the air. He shot a web at the gang member who had just tried to hit him. The web wrapped around him quickly. Spider then wanked on the web, pulling the member forward into one of his comrades. They both toppled harshly to the ground, Spider attatching to the wall above them.

Another gang member then pulled out an uzi, and pointed it at Spider. Spider pushed off onto the wall on the other side of the alley as a flurry on 9mm bullets pummeled the wall where he had just been. The gang member turned to fire at Spider again, but found Spider about 2 feet away from him, arm coiled. He swung and hit the gang member hard in the jaw, and he was thrown into the side of the trash bin beside him, before collapsing to the ground.

As the business man passed the alley, he turned to see 3 gang members, all tied up with web, and a dangling web attatchied to the wall high above. On the end of the web dangling down was a small card. The business man held it up, and read it. It had a silhouette of spiderman shooting his web, and a statement saying. "Spidey's back!".

The businessman smiled, and swiped the card from the web, putting it in his pocket, before continuing down the street. From high above, Spider looked down, deciding to go for a swing before he had to start work.[/I]

[i]The Liberty Island Ferry Depot..[/i]

Marth:I'm telling you for the last time...Stop, or we will be forced to take you down!

???:No one takes down The Fire Wall!

[i]Just as Fire Wall was about to shoot another jet of flame, a small bang! erupted from Marth's M4A1, catching Wall in the chest. He toppled backwards, falling into the water[/i]

Marth:Correction...No one but me. Corpral! Call in a extraction team!*Marth wwalks into the heavily armoured APC, and starts the vehicle. The rest of the squad boils in, and he roars back to the station..*

[i]4 hours later, at Marth's apratment building..[/i]

[i]Marth shoves the key into it's lock, and with a click that could wake the damned, he shoved the door open, and threw his gear onto his old couch. Walking past a human-shaped punching bag so warped out of shape by countles beating, Marth grabs a beer, and sits down on the couch beside his gear. The neighbours above were shouting again. He wished the building tenant still allowed him to fire a round into their apartment with his pistol...That usually shut them up. Turning on the TV, the only thing of value in his two-room apartment, he saw Fire Wall being led twords a waiting pick-up vehicle, ready to be shipped off to Riker's Island, now nicknamed "Freak-Land" by those baised politicians. Of course, none of that mattered, now that those Halloween-Shall-Never-End anarchists came into town, and royally screwed everything over.

By now, Marth finished his beer, and fell asleep on the couch.[/i]

Gryphon surveys the situation quickly. There were two armored men trying to rob a bank. He leaps down quickly in the middle of their path.
robber 1: what do you think you are?spiderman?
gryphon: no im thunder and you might want to remember that name.
he shoots to bolts of lightning and moments later the only remnants of the robbers were crumpled heaps.
gryphon thinks to him self what a waste as he flies off

[Vampire Hunter D]

Crunch sits on the top of a street light in the middle of the worst neiborhood in town. He sees a suspiscious looking group of people walk into the mini-mart on the corner. He jumps down to have a look. People from the group start pocketing goods, and move towards the door. When the clerk tries to stop them from leaving, one of them pulls a knife.

Crunch: Hasn't anyone ever told you not to steal. Now put that stuff back and I'll let you walk away with only one broken arm.

Gang member: Stay out of this, you wannabe spiderman!

Crunch: Now you've done it. You've made me angry.

The guy with the knife takes a swing at Crunch, but he grabs his arm and slams into it with his other fist. You could hear the bones shatter. Someone tries to jump him from behind but he counters with a quick elbow to the chest. The thief lets out a horrible scream and flies backward, slamming into the wall. Repeats of this go on for about four more people, and then the rest drop the stuff and run back down the street.
Crunch nods to the clerk and leaps out the door, onto a streetlight, and onto a roof of a nearby building.

Nick walks down the street, he looked around to see if anyone was doing anything "suspicious", but there was nothing. UNtil Nick saw Seven dark shadows fly across the skies of New York City. He looked up and knew right away something was going on.....

[size=1][i] Deep within the city, there lies Major, standing in the dark, invisible, waiting for something to happen, just as he expected, sirens go off, police cars are racing after a get away car, its speeding [/i]

[b]Major:[/b] "Finally, something comes up..."

[i]Major turns invisible and speeds off toward the car [/i]

[b]Major: "Almost there, almost got him...."[/b]

[i] Major leaps high into the air, and lands on the car, piercing a whole through the roof of the car, the driver begins to lose control of the car, and finally crashes into a pole, it pierces the car like a knife cutting bread [/i]

[b]Policeman1:[/b] "I wonder how that happened, and what about the whole... Maybe it was Major"

[b]Policeman2:[/b] "Look! He is over there!"

[i] They shine a light toward the area, only catching a glimpse of Major [/i]

[b]Policeman1:[/b] "We need to catch him one of these days... The burglar is getting away!!"

[i] The burglar is trying to make a run for it [/i]

[b]Policeman2:[/b] "Get him!"

[i] The police open fire on him, all the shots missing [/i]

[b]Major:[/b] "Damnit..."

[i] Major leaps from the shadows, the police see him, shining the light, he is blinded temporarily...[/i]

[b]Major:[/b] "Ah! Can't see!"

[i] Major turns invisible [/i]

[b]Major:[/b] "Now I don't need to worry about it"

[i] Major chases after the burglar, will he reach him in time? Probably [/i]

siren watches with little intrest as spider go's about his work again... she wonders why everyone is so fixated on doing good for this city... sighing she walks into the port to the roof and heads down to her floor of the apartment... the door accross from her slammed open and a girl ran out tears streaming from her face...a purple bruise spread across her cheek...siren caught her by the arm and she flinched away covering her face as if expecting a blow...in a soft low voice siren asked her what had happened

girl: my huspand...*sniff* we got into an argument again...he'd been drinking...he...he hit me...*crys softly*

siren grits her teeth

siren: here... come with me...

siren led the frightened girl into her neat appartment and sat her on the couch

siren: here...um...do you want somthing to eat? drink maybe? i'm gonna make some tea...

girl: that would be nice....

siren walks into the kitchen and a few minuates later she comes back with two steaming cups...she hands one to the girl and lounges aginst the wall siping it... her door slams open and a dirty man staggers in...in a drunken slur he mutters about another beer...the girl drops her cup and it shatters on the floor...siren sets hers down and stands...she walks up to him

siren: get out of my appartment...

the man trys to focus his eyes on her and swings a huge meaty fist at her face...siren stands calmly as it wizzes past her eye...

siren: i'll tell you again....get...out...

the man smiles...siren turns to the girl

siren: you had bett-

she was cut off as the girl screams...siren turns and sees a good six inches of steel heading for her chest...she twists and grabbs the mans wrist...she brings an elbow up and smashes his forearm...siren grabbs his bull-like neck and swings up and over him...she kicks in the back of his kneese and he falls...she grabbs his hair and hauls his head back...siren snatches the fallen knife and brings it to his throat ready to slice it...

girl: NOO!!

siren freezes and looks up

[i]All of the sudden, the door explodes, and Marth and his squad rushes in[/i]

Marth:All right, freeze!*stares, and sees Siren about to kill the man*Um..Not what I expected.

Man:*gurgles*Help..please...

[i]The sound of twenty Mp5-NAVYs being cocked fills the room, and Marth glares at the three[/i]

Marth:I want an explination. First I hear reports of a domestic disturbance, this man attacking that woman..Then when I get here, I see you, Siren, about to kill him.

Siren:How do you know me?!

Marth:Your in the NYPD super-human file! Now, about that explination..

gryphon saw the ordeal playing out in the apartment and was wondering if he should go up there or not. Then he saw a chase happening
gryphon:better take care of this
he shoots out lightning to stop the car and flew towards the apartment. ill let the police handle it now he thought

[I] Ryan walks down the street, and sees the bolt of lighting hti the road, and the car stops. He steps back, and watches, wondering if he should do anything to help, or not. He decides not to.[/I]

[B] Ryan:[/B] Hmmmmmmm. I wonder how craig is doing.... Time go go and find out.

[I] Ryan ducks into an alleyway, and begins to crawl to the top of the building. He emerges on the rooftop in his Acid suit, from the symbiote once on Eddie Brock. He jumps off the building, and begins a swing across manhattan. He goes by craig house, and does not see him. [B] hmmm, he must be at work already. I dont start for another hour, i guess i'll patrol the Island[/B]

Acid swings his way back to the city, and passes over most of it. [B] All normal so far. I should start off towards work, I might be late[/B]

Meanwhile.....[/I]

[B] Green Goblin:[/B] ha ha ha. Well well well. I guess all of the
"Super Heroes" Have gathered in my great city to try and stop me. Interesting. Good thing they dont know much. Soon, Soon. I must get in contact with the other Goblins.

siren: errm....yea

she sighs and stands hauling the man up by the back of his t-shirt... she spins him so he's looking at her...she brings his face close wincing at the smell of whisky on his breath...

siren: i have no intention of being this forgiving in the future...i will kill you regardless... is that clear?

the man nods... siren drops him and turns...suddenly she spins and drives her knee into his still falling body... the wind whooshes out of him and he falls to the floor unconscious... siren grins grimly and turns to marth

[I] A 14 year-old boy was walking in a back alley of the city, deep in thought. What was he thinking so deeply about? The same thing as everyone else in the city:The people who are taking on Spider-Man's role. He thought these "wanna-be's" were a good thing and wished he had Spider-Powers so he could do the same, but he douted that he would ever be like his hero, Spider-Man!
May be he would have thought differently if he knew what was about to happen, may be he wouldn't have douted it, may be he wouldn't be there at all... But all the same, he was there, and he was about to find himself wrong, very wrong... He stop to see what looked like a black blob, but before he could say anything, the blob came on to him like a second skin, and he blacked out...[/I]

Nick sat down in his hotel, after getting a cup of coffee and the newspaper. He opens it up and takes a sip of his coffee. " Spidey's back"....

Nick: hmmm, I thought Peter died years ago... Dad was even at the celebration for him. His daughter, im preaty sure she died as an baby. I dont think he had any brothers or sisters. So I guess this is just one of those super hero wannabes.

Nick stands up and gets dressed. He walks down the stairs of his apartment and into his car. He takes a trip upstate to the new Xavier Mansion. He talked to his Parents for a few hours and then drove back home. Nick learned many things from his visit. He had to meet with some heros to develop a "team", to protect the city of New York...

[I]A Symbiote! That's what the blob was. It was once a piece of Eddie Brock's Symbiote that was taken by the government and experimented on. It grew because of the experiments, lost it's memory, and became good. But it still had the drive to find a host. So it found Nathan Janes....[/I]

[I]Nathan woke up an hour later to find he was hanging from a building by webing in a Symbiote suit. On him, it looked like it did on Spider-Man himself![/I]

[B]Nathan:[/B]"A Symbiote? How?"

[I]Suddenly, it all comes back to him.[/I]

[B]Nathan:[/B]"I need a name, don't I? hmmm... Let's see..."

[I]He thinks about it.[/I]

[B]Shadow-Spider:[/B]"I got it! I shall now be known as Shadow-Spider!"

she darts out the door and catches marths arm

siren: hey... you said somthing about my NYPD super-human file... what is it and where would i find it? i'd like to discuss it with someone...

Marth:get him to the van.

[i]Marth then turns to Siren[/i]

Marth:You can come down to the station if you want. Then I'll show you the files.

Siren:Okay, thanks.

[i]The sun starts setting and the New York skyscrapers give a superb light show, the offices lighting up everywhere. Stryker takes a right into a dark alley way already sensing the danger, yet not giving it a thought. He then takes a left down a long part of the alley and notices 5 men dressed in black dealing and smoking some drugs, yet he continues to walk towards them. They see him and stand up pulling out guns, knifes, and metal-linked chains getting ready for a bloodbath. Stryker looks up and see them blocking his way. He just stares at them with a smile.[/i]

Gang Member 1: Hey dude, what you doin down in our territory?

Stryker: Last time I checked this was part of New York City, citizens free to roam. If it was yours I would think it would be mapped out.

Gang Member 2: Don't start to talk that crap. Now whose ready for a whipping??

Stryker: Always trying to start something I see... Well you want me, come on!

[i]The five gang members start to close in, until Strykers blue eyes turn maroon, his hair turning black and his wings shooting out. Four of his teeth grow sharper resembling a vampires, which what he was half of.[/i]

Gang Member 4: What the hell??!!!

Menace: I see, five weak, skinny humans, not that much to feed on, but it will do...

[i]Before the members could turn around Menace had already knocked them senseless with his metal wings. Cautiously, Menace grabbed the first one and stuck his razor-like teeth into the neck and drinking all the blood, dripping out like red rain, then throwing the body in a nearby dumster. When Menace was finished with all five he wiped his mouth and flew ontop of the nearest building, just to notice Spider-Man their glaring. With warning Spiderman did 2 front flips and kicked menace in the face knocking him down, blood trickling down his right cheek. Trying to get up, Menace tried to retreat but Spiderman was already on him, pounding him over and over again in the stomach, then doing 5 backflips going 20 feet in the air and landing 25 feet away. Menace got up and slurped the blood that was going into his mouth. With his maximum speed Menace flew to the right then in a perfect 90 degree angle went to the left and and struck Spiderman across his left cheek. Then slowing down, Menace landed and picked up Spiderman from his neck, slowly choking him, then fainted, Menace's eyes turning back to blue and his hair back to blond. Spiderman caught his breath then took a quick rest then examined Stryker, confused at what just happened.[/i]

Crimson: so this is the city spiderman lived in. this place is full of lawbreakers. well, it has been quiet lately.

bankrobber: hand over the money and do it clamly.

Crimson: well guess i spoke to soon. hey where do you think your going? *goes over to the bankrobber grabs him and carries him to the bank manager* now give him his money and say your sorry.

siren: so...this is it...


she opens the file and scans it briefly...she closes it and sighs, glances at marth and closes her eyes...she takes a deep breath and green fire consumes the file...a pile of ash sits in her hand...

siren: i'm sorry about distroying that but i can't have any information existing on me...*she shruggs apoligeticly* you understand i hope

[I] Acid perches off a building just after dusk. He sees no danger at the moment, but then, senses something a little ways away. he quickly drops off the building, and swings towards it. He hopes it's not another gang Fight, or something like that. [B] man, more gang fighst have surfaced recently...[/B] he thinks.

Acid stops and begins to crawl up the side of a building, and walks to the edge of the roof. He looks down, and See's Spider, and Stryker, and wonders if this is what he sensed. [/I]

[B] Acid:[/B] Hey Spider, was he giving you a tough time? I sensed something bad from 5th and main.

[B] Spider:[/B] We had a small brawl, but its over. Thanks for thewould be back up.
[B] Acid:[/B] No prob.

[I] Both of the costumed Heroes turn to look at Stryker.......[/I]

[i]Shadow-Spider was web-swinging through the city, he saw nothing that needed him...[/i]

[b]Shadow-Spider:[/b]This is a good sign... No need to worry... For now...

[i]He headed home, glad nothing was happening. But he knew some thing was amiss. Some thing was going to happen, but what it was, he wasn't sure...[/i]

Nick took his usual walk around the city, looking for trouble and problums but there was none. He noticed a black object flying on webs through the city. Nick immediatly raised himself into the sky and followed him. The object landed on a roof, and Nick ran up to him..

Nick: Hey you!

shadow - Spider: Who are you, I didnt do anything

The kids mask retracted from his face and Nick could notice that this was just a boy....

Nick: You, you swing and look like Spider-man....... Who are you?

[b]Shadow-Spider:[/b]Let's put it this way.... I'm the new kid on the block..... Shadow-Spider...

[i]His Symbiote recovers his face[/i]

Nick stood on the roof, thinking to himself
-* maybe this could be the beginning of the team i was thinking of*

Nick: Im Nick Sumers, son of Cyclops and Phenox of the X-men. I live in New York and help fight crime and stuff...

Shadow-Spider: Really? So what do you want with me..

Nick: There is something coming I felt it a couple of days ago, and im gonna try and put together a team of "Super heros" to stop it... You know anyone that could help.

Nick felt the disturbance erupt
